"No. I have looked over your doings too many times. I'm sorry, I do love you but I... You don't know how hard this! ELECTRIC CHAIR!!!"

"Your Majesty spare us! Please! PLEASEEEE! Please. My muse..."

How did things turn out this way? How?! My best friend sentencing me and my sister to the electric chair? I swear if I had a second chance this would never happen. I was shackled in chains around my wrists and ankles. "Way to treat best friends," I sarcastically muttered. A steward was dragging me to the electric chair room. A stewardess behind us was taking my sister, Melissa. She seemed miserable. In our cells, we were poorly fed and I refused to eat the food served with malnutrition and rotting. Whatever decent food given to us, I would give to Melissa yet we were both emaciated, especially me. No wonder she was miserable. We were living in deplorable conditions for 6 months. Usually, this would be the part where I tell you how this happened but no no, wait until later on.

"Quit daydreaming, assassin! Just because the judge used to favour you, doesn't mean you can commit any crime or cold blooded homocide and get away with it! And dragging your sister into this?! What would your uncle think?!"

"Uncle... What gives you the right or authority to speak of my uncle?!! Bitch! We are innocent! LET US GO!!"

I began struggling with the steward: biting, kicking, scratching.

"LET MY SISTER LIVE! LET HER GO!! SHE IS DEFINITELY INNOCENT! PLEASE!!"

"Stop struggling! The less you struggle, the less painful it will be when you're punished." the steward shouted.

"No!"

I spat in her face. Melissa looked horrified when she saw the steward raise his hand. He punched me in the neck and the next thing I remember was that everything went black.

When I finally woke up I was strapped tightly to a metal chair. "Huh, so this is the electric chair. Not as impressive as I thought it would be." I rocked back and forth, trying to lose balance so this could go crashing to the floor. My struggle only led to an unsatisfying rattling of metal. I growled and gnashed my teeth when suddenly it dawned on me. Where is Melissa?

"Melissa? Melissa! Melissa where are you? Melissa!! Melissa make a noise! I'll get out of here and come to you! MELISSA! MELISSA!! ANYTHING MELISSA JUST MAKE A FUCKING NOISE! Melissa. Melissa please don't be dead!"

I heard a zap, followed by a distant scream.

" MELISSA!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US?! I KNOW YOU'RE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT WALL! MELISSA! MELISSA I'M COMING! WAIT, JUST HANG ON MELISSA!"

I groaned in an attempt to get out of the retraints.

" How could you do this?! I LOVED YOU! THAT'S MY SISTER YOU'RE KILLING! MELISSA!! I SHOULD'VE HAVE NEVER MET YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE! I! HATE! YOU! MELISSA! MELISSA I'M COMING! WAIT, MELISSA I'M... COMING... MELISSA... WAIT... HOLD ON. I'm... Coming... Me.. Lis.. Sa... "

I passed with anger and sadness but it wasn't over yet.

I was woken up by an electric shock, stinging my ribs but it didn't hurt as much as being betrayed. I was zapped again, this time, it was longer and more painful. It made my skin red and eyes water. But at that moment I didn't care, I needed to know where Melissa was. "MELISSA! MELISSA! MELISSA WHERE ARE YOU?! MELISSA! MELISSA ANSWER ME GODDAMMIT! MELISSA!"

I growled whilst being zapped again. The pain was unbearable but I had to bare with it to find Melissa. Every breath of air I took was painful and agonising. My oesophagus felt as if it would either collapse or explode. "Keep breathing. Keep breathing for Melissa. For uncle. For mum and dad. For Jay. For me." I recited those words aloud so everyone on the other side could hear me for 5 minutes. I began to worry about what would happen to Melissa, about what would happen to me, about the real culprit escaping the punishment. I began thinking of what Uncle would do. Uncle was an extremely notorious, intelligent and aloof businessman. No matter how big the the cavity of trouble he would fall into, Uncle always managed to build a ladder tall enough to get out of it. I sighed. "Is this really the end for me?" I thought, "What about Melissa? It's all my fault that this happened. If only I was never born." I thought of all the great times me, Melissa and Uncle had. He would tell us the greatest stories before sleeping that would frighten Melissa and fascinate me. Uncle told us that if we had God's favour and never wished evil on anyone that if we died in vain, he would revive us as many times as it takes until we die of old age in peace. I thought I might as well give it a try so I began insulting the people behind the wall so they would zap harder eventually causing death. My plan was successful as I remember passing out.

When I opened my eyes, I was in an abnormal bed and ancient looking room. Thinking it was all a dream I wandered around the oak based room and peeped out the window. With no glass! The landscape seemed very rural and forest based. Men would travel in coaches and using beasts of burden to conduct them. One coach driver was whipping the horse way beyond necessary so I couldn't stop myself from intervening. I ran out in front of the carriage.

"STOP, STOP BEATING THAT HORSE!"

"Move out of the way, concubine! Do you know the result of stopping a royal coach?!" the coach driver shouted.

"I don't care! You're beating that horse way more than necessary! This horse works days and nights for you, goes to war for you and you are beating it as it is has stolen your meal!" I raised my hand and stroked the horse on its head. "Wow, you're such a beauty. Your eyes are big and beautiful. They're glistening with excitement!" I giggled. The horse neighed as I stroked its mane. "Easy," I softly told it, "Easy there. That's a good boy. Aren't you the sweetest? I know how it feels but it's okay, I know they underestimate your full potential. Then they treat you like a pile of... Well manure." I continued to groom its back, stroking it gently and carefully.

"What's the delay? I'm already late for my meeting!" a slightly attractive voice snapped.

"Your Majesty, there's a dilemma. You might wanna come out and see." the coachman angrily said.

"Your Majesty?!" I asked shocked. "Goodbye beauty. We'll meet again."

I sprinted away into a endless path of roads and markets and eventually, forest. I continued running seeing lush green and brown blurs and if I was paying enough attention, I would see the odd berries and flowers here and there.

"STOP!" the same attractive voice shouted.

"NO!" I screamed back. I heard feet hitting the floor and breathing getting closer to me.

"GET AWAY!" I screeched. I felt a hand reach out for me so I slapped it away. I turned around and stuck my tongue at him but soon after, I tripped. He caught me and scooped me up over his shoulder.

"Let GO OF ME!" I shouted.

"Stop struggling! The less you struggle, the less painful it will be when you're punished." he told me

I gasped and began kicking, scratching and punching. "LET! ME! GO!!"

I swung my leg and he dropped me, clutching is private parts. It hurt when I fell but I continued to run. I sprinted and finally found a clothes market. I borrowed some dull maid like clothes and said I would pay when I get my money. I styled my hair in a messy pleat and threw on my cloak. Trying not to seek any attention, I walked back to where I woke up.

I removed my clothes and took a hot bath. "This definitely isn't a dream. Wasn't that Matthew? Anyway he's a king here and caused trouble with him so I better make money and leave this city. But first I need to find Melissa." I wrapped myself with a robe and got dressed into a cloak.

I saw a young woman on the floor, cleaning up my room.

"Who are you? What are you doing in my house? And more importantly, where's Melissa?"

"Lady Lisa, are you feeling well?" she reached out for my head and checked my temperature. "Fine," I snapped whilst slapping away her hand, "Now, answer my questions."

"My Lady, I am your maid Rei Xue. I serve you. Lady Melissa Ling is at his Majesty's Palace."

"Apologies for my rudeness. Rei Xue get me a horse immediately and a fast horse at that."

"Yes, my Lady."

I changed into clothes appropriate for the palace so I was slightly irritated. I put on my bra and offered one to Rei Xue. I explained to her what they are for. She immediately showed me gratitude by offering to wash my feet in rose petals and water. I refused saying it would be too much trouble. I climbed onto the horse and held out a hand to Rei Xue so she could climb on.

"Tell me how to get to the palace." I ordered Rei. "HYA!" I shouted and the horse began to run.

We finally arrived at the palace and we walked up to the entrance. I slammed the doors open and demanded, "Where's Melissa Ling?!"

"Young Lady, you have a lot of nerve to enter his Majesty's Palace, IN THAT ORDE—"

"SHUT UP AND TELL ME WHERE MY SISTER IS!!"

"Young Lady, how dare—!"

"SILENCE!!" the Emperor bellowed.

And silence was given.

"Now, you're looking for Melissa Ling."

"That's Lady Ling for you." I snapped.

"I believe that you are LADY Lisa Ling."

"Correct. Now give Melissa to me. She isn't your ***** that you can sleep with! You have no business with her so give her to ME!"

SLAP! The Emperor's servant tried to slap me but I grabbed her hand before she could. I threw her hand away causing her to fall flat on her back.

"Don't **** with my patience, your Majesty. It's running quite thin. Now this is the last time I'll ask you, where is MELISSA?!"

"Lisa?! Is that really you? Oh my God I was... I was terrified and we... We... Uncle... I was... I was d-d... E-Electric ch-chair."

I ran to her and we hugged. "Do you understand how much I worried about you? Don't scare me like that! Let's go. We need to talk lil sis."

"How amusing that you think you can leave so easily after being SO OBNOXIOUS!" the Emperor scolded.

"Who do you think you are to scold me? You're just a stinky and loud mouth'd emperor. Now if you excuse we need to get going. Come on Meli."

We left and mounted on the horse and rode back to our house.

We all went inside and I changed into shreds with a cloak on top.

"Melissa I need you to be brave for me. Can you do that for me?" I asked Melissa gently.

"Lisa... I'll t-try." Melissa answered back in a shaky manner.

"Alright. Rei Xue! Get in here!"

"Yes my Lady?" Rei Xue timidly asked.

"This is Rei Xue our maid. Rei and Melissa pack up all our belongings in this house and meet me by the river in the forest. Get a horse for the two of you, Rei you'll ride it. If anything, anything at all, happens to my sister, I'll kill you without mercy."

"Em. What about you my Lady?"

"I have some things to do. Now listen carefully, you will take weapons and make sure to be discreet. Rei Xue go get us your maid clothes. And if by any chance you have cloaks bring them in."

"Yes my Lady."

"Meli start packing up."

She left and began to pack up.

"Oh and Melissa?"

"Yes?"

"Any problems use the beeper. Put it on mute. Keep weapons with you all the time. If anyone breaks in, Rei Xue will protect you. Put on the dull clothes she gives you and put on the cloak on top. Remove a pins from your hair and leave it simple. Put on your hoods before you leave and if you can tell Rei Xue that you'll both need a mask."

"Lisa I'm scared."

"Be strong Meli, okay? Be brave and don't shudder in the face of danger, dance with it."

I hugged her tightly and we parted ways. I slid on a mask and put my hood on. I had swords and daggers and guns attached to my cloak. I had black boots amd underneath the cloak my black assassin clothes for this era. My hair wasn't tied up. I mounted the horse and yelled "HYA!" and onwards we rode.

We stopped just before the market and I tied it up behind the market in the forest. I walked in the market and had 2 bags with me. One was filled with medicine elixirs and things for sale the other was filled with my belongings and jewellery and things I need for where we were going. I threw one bag next to the horse and said, "Stay. Don't crush." I walked into the market and went to a selling area.

"Excuse me, who can I speak to about selling medical elixirs?"

"One moment please." a young man told me. He ran into an office and an old man stepped out.

"What do you want?" he sternly asked.

"I'm here to sell medical elixirs. I think they'll come in handy to you."

"Let's go over there."

We walked into what looked like a 'doing business' room.

"Sit." he said.

"Thank you. Now, these some of these elixirs can cure all diseases. Let me get them out for you."

I pulled the elixir box out of my bag and placed it on the table. I opened the box and he looked surprised and excited at the same time.

"How do I know if these work?"

"You can try one, Sir but it isn't a free trial."

"I'll give you 500 gold coins for the one I'm trying."

"Deal."

"Xinhua! Get in here and be my witness."

The same young man rushed in and watched. The old man drank the elixir and his grey hair faded away into black hair. His beard did the same. His back was no longer in pain and muscles appeared all over him. He looked as if a young man.

"Hahah! Young lady I love you. Explain the ones that don't cure all illnesses."

"Yes, the other ones cure serious life threatening illnesses permanently whilst the one that cures all illnesses treats life threatening illnesses for say about 20 years then you have the illness again."

"I say! You're a genius. Right how many of each do you have?"

"The all curing elixirs or boluses I have 5000 and the life threatening ones I have 2000. The all curing boluses cure any other illness permanently so you won't catch a cold again for example."

"Right, I'll take 1000 curing boluses and 10 life threatening elixirs."

"Name your price."

"10,500 gold coins."

"That's a businesswoman! Atta girl, here you are. The rest will go into auction and they'll definitely go for more because I'll prove they work."

"Thank you, Master..."

"I suggest you use the life threatening elixir for your mortality illness."
