Ahh... First day of School……

A new chapter was added to Rebecca Bliss's life. A manager of a boy's volleyball club, vice president of a student council, and a second-year in high school.

She may be an introvert, but it doesn't mean she has no friends, right?

"Babe! There you are"

As a loud voice was heard. Rebecca instantly turned around to see her best friend, Corki Cheng.

"Corki, lower your voice. I don't want to attract some attention." Rebecca said as she approached Corki.

"Sorry, I forgot about it," Corki said as Rebecca stopped in front of her.

"Good Morning Students! Welcome back to the new chapter of your high school life, and for the new students around here, I may welcome you to our academy." Principal Tora said in a happily yet terrifying voice.

"As your Principle here in Western Academy, I have many expectations regarding our activities and studies."

And with that, Rebecca and Corki left the scene because they don't want to hear any more stupid announcements.

As soon as they left, Rebecca's phone starts to notif a chat.

Coach Val: Announcement! There will be a practice match with MYS Academy in 2 weeks for now.

Rina: Meet up before school club activities.

Let's start this Second-Year High chapter.

As soon as the morning announcement was done, morning classes will now begin.

"Babe, do you want to hang out after school?" Corki asked me as we walk to our destination classes.

"I'm gonna pass this time."

"And besides that, I have a meeting with the council later and a volleyball meeting too," I said.

Corki started to whine.

"But babe!! I wan---"

"Cor, you have your club too," I said in a matter-of-fact tone.

I already arrived at my class, while Corki went to another room for her class.

I guess we're not classmates this year.

As I entered the room, I scanned the room to find an empty seat to sit. Luckily, I found one near the window.

Everyone here in class seems to be preoccupied with their friends in class. I over here don't know anyone inside.

That's what you get for being an introvert

I let out a sigh. I bring out my favorite novel inside my bag before the teacher arrives. I was enjoying reading my novel when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I stopped reading and there I saw in front of me. Standing in front was a boy with grey hair and his height is like a giant or something.

Sure enough, I'm quite scared because of his height. I mean who doesn't??

"Hey"

"What do you need?" I said while raising one eyebrow.

"I'm new here and I wanna.."

"Wanna what?"

" I just noticed you are sitting alone and nobody comes to your seat," he said in a slightly deep tone.

Ouch! He got me there.

Without my permission, the boy sits beside me. Settling his things besides me.

"Who permitted you to sit here?" I asked in a pissed tone. This boy is getting to my nerves, he doesn't know I want to be alone.

"Me," he said

"And why?"

"Because I don't want you to be alone and I'm gonna be your first boyfriend." He said in a serious voice.

Him being that serious, I am surely sacred now.

While processing the words he said earlier, I instantly the word "boyfriend" indicate in my mind. I surprisingly turned my head to face him, to which he got surprised.

"Hold on a minute, what do you mean being my first boyfriend?" I asked

"Well...

He was about to say it but the teacher had arrived already. Which left me clueless for the whole morning.

I didn't even get his name though...

After Morning Class.

Location: Hallway

Currently, I am standing in the middle of the hallway finding Corki's class. Which I can't find due to a lot of students heading out of their class. Suddenly, someone whispered to my side to which the voice is familiar.

" Need some help, kiddo?"

Turning to my side, I saw the boy earlier with a teasing look on his face.

This guy even called me kiddo ...

Me being called a kid??

"What do you want, Mr. Greyish Giant??"

A chuckled escape from his mouth. Realized what I just called him.

"Huh? Greyish Giant?" He said while titled his head to his side.

"Well yeah, cause you are so tall and your hair is grey, I guess??"

Goddamn Beca...just ask his name already or better yet leave now before Corki comes.

"Haha hahaha...you're so funny kiddo..hahahahaha," he said and continued to laugh hard. Ignoring my pissed and awkward state.

"First of all, stop laughing. Second, please stop addressing me as a kid, my height is 5'8 tall, and lastly, I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU!?" I said

And there, he stopped laughing and faced me with a smile on his face. He bends down to my height.

" I'm gonna be your future boyfriend, Ms. 5'8 tall." He said with a smirk on his face.

And with that, he left me standing in the middle of the hallways. As I turned around, I saw Corki standing behind one of the classroom's doors.

"So...what's the meaning of this, Babe?" Corki asked with a teasing look and voice. I just shrugged at her. Corki just let out a laugh.

"You don't know him, do you?" She asked. To which I just nodded my head to answer her.

"Well, his name is Levi Martino. And how do I know him? Simply because he has a twin sister and I am in the same class as her twin sister, Lexi Martino."

So the greyish giant's name is Levi Martino huh?

"Are you somehow friends with his twin, Cor? I asked her. As we walk down the hallway towards the cafeteria.

" Yeah, we're friends," she said.

"Is this sister has the same personality as him?"

"Probably, I mean their twins," Corki said as she shook her head.

We didn't continue our talk as we line up for a long line ahead to the cafeteria.

I just bring out my phone from my bag. Then, I proceed to this particular app that has been on my phone for a year now. This app is called "Connect." To where strangers can chat with each other without knowing his or her 's real names. It's just creating your username.

I've been chatting to this person for a year now. And the person that I have been chatting with before is a boy and nope, I don't know his name. I'm gonna chat with him now on his first day of school.

To SeriousEagle: Hey! How's your day?

After a minute, I felt my phone buzz.

From SeriousEagle: Normal, I guess. Volleyball practice is normal, with normal announcements, normal classes...how about you, SlyFox15?

Yup, that's how we chat with each other.

Today is the day when we have a practice match against MYS Academy. I laugh at my thought as I remember Levi's reaction when he learned that I am the manager of the boy's volleyball club.

Flashback:

Location: Gym of Boy's Volleyball Club

As I opened the door of the gym, everyone was gathered around in front of Coach Val. A lot of first and new second years came to the annual tryouts. I walk passed by the Team Captain, Elias Ford.

As I made my way to Coach Val. A certain voice had stopped me on my way.

"Ms. 5'8, I didn't know you're a stalker of mine."

"I didn't know you're playing ****volleyball, Mr. Greyish****," I said while settling my things to the nearest bench.  Meanwhile, Levi keeps on telling me that I am his stalker, he is honored that he has a stalker on the first day.

Suddenly, Elias saw that I was getting uncomfortable with this greyish freak.

"Hey!Hey! You greyish freak, what business do you have with our beloved manager?"  Elias said to Levi while making his way to us. Because of that all of the regular line-ups of the team came to our current situation.

"Ma-ma-manager?" Levi said a hint of shock and fear in his tone of voice.

End Of Flashback.

I stopped in front of our bus. Everyone is here gathering in front of the bus.

"Alright, Is everyone here?" Coach Val asked.

All of us just replied...

Yepp...

Yes, Coach...

Ahhh...

All of us got on the bus. Here I am sitting comfortably in my seat beside our volleyball team's 3rd-year setter, Kevin Tabiosas. While Coach Val and our beloved Captain, Elias, are seated in front of us.

"So Ms. Manager, would you like to tell me our details for this practice match of ours?" Kevin asked while scrolling his phone.

"Well, while talking to the coach of MYS's volleyball team. He told me that we're only using half of the court because their basketball will be practicing on their court." I said while reading the personal profile of MYS VBC.

TING!

I heard my phone make a noise. I checked it out and click the notification on my phone.

SeriousEagle sent you a message

From SeriousEagle: Are you available right now?

Huh? I wonder why? He never messages me first.

Before I could reply. He sent another message

From SeriousEagle: Like are you available to talk right now, I mean.

Little did I know, I'm already smiling.

"Ms. Man is acting weird." Bryce Astor, our 2nd-year libero said. He is sitting across from us.

And beside him is Calvin Choi, our 2nd-year wing spike.

"You mean Beca?" Calvin asked. Bryce replied with a nod.

"Maybe she's texting someone like special someone, I guess," Calvin said. After he said that, Bryce dramatically cried as if he lost something.

Okay, back to me people!

To SeriousEagle: Yea, I'm available right now. You don't need to be shy, you know :p

After I sent him a text, He didn't reply right away.

Maybe he's busy

After one hour, I heard another notification from my phone. As I was checking it, my whole face turned into a tomato mess.

Gosh! Why I am blushing...

I double-check his message again. And Yep, I am right he said that.

From SeriousEagle: I like you

After the long ride, We've all arrived at MYS Academy. We all got off the bus. Some of us are busy getting our stuff out of the bus. While me, I was lost in my thoughts.

Did he mean it?? or a typo?? or wrong message??

As I was busy thinking about it earlier. We already arrived at the front of the gym of MYS. And I didn't realize that Coach Val is calling.

"Beca, Beca, Earth to Beca" Coach Val said.

"Huh?" I got snapped out of my mind after hearing Coach Val.

"Good your still there, Beca." Coach Val said. While looking in front of us as the members start their warm-ups.

"I had been calling you out for like three times now. And I noticed that you've been spacing out earlier." Coach Val added.

"Sorry about that, Coach. That's so unprofessional of me." I said. While staring at the floor.

"It's okay, Beca. Just don't do it again." Coach Val said. But he gestured for me to fill up the water bottles of our team. And I proceed to head out to the gym while carrying all of the water bottles.

CURRENT LOCATION: MYS'S DRINKING FOUNTAIN

As I was finishing up, I sense someone's presence beside me. I look to my side and saw MYS's Volleyball team Captain, Linc Harrison.

OH MY G! he is handsome in close-up.

Shock and fluster are written on my face.

Should I talk to him or walk away before embarrassing myself.

Yeah, let's just walk away.

As I walk away from the drinking fountain and made my way toward the gym. Little did I know, someone is staring at me.

As soon as I entered the gym, everyone are done doing their warm-ups. I proceed towards our destinated bench. Coach Val did a little meeting before the practice match starts.

Afterward, the meeting ended and everyone proceeded to their destinated positions. I look over to another side of the court, where the other team did their little meeting too.

Looks like the captain hasn't arrived yet...

I brought out my phone before the match starts. I noticed a text message from SeriousEagle. I check it out.

From SeriousEagle: Sorry, my friend hold my phone earlier and texted you. Please ignored or forget it.

Okay, just ignored it Beca.

To SeriousEagle: It's fine, I didn't mind out all Hahahaha😸

Little did you know, SeriousEagle, I seriously mind it out all.

After I sent it to him, he sent another message that made my whole surroundings disappear.

From SeriousEagle: I wanna confess something though. I already know your real identity.

Flashback:

Three years ago at Tech Middle School

I'm walking passed by our school's gym. When I saw a bunch of students outside the gym.

I wonder, what's going on? I said to myself.

As I got closer, I saw our school's volleyball team boy's division having a practice match against another school. I found myself walking inside the gym, finding a place to sit. Eventually, I found a seat near the team.

I look in front of me, observing the match. I must say, our school's team is good. I look at the other side of the court to where the opposite team is located and then at the scoreboard.

Set 1: 10 - 14

The opposite team is ahead of us by four points. Well, the opposite team is pretty strong. While I was watching the match, I can sense that someone is staring at me.

Just ignored it, Beca. I thought to myself.

The first set of the match just ended with the opposite's win. As the players went back to their benches to drink water and listen to their coaches. I noticed how they're so exhausted from the match even though, the first set just ended.

As I was spacing out, a water bottle just rolled beside me. As I pick it up, I look at the opposite bench.

Maybe this belongs to them. I thought to myself.

I stand up from my seat and walk to them. I stood in front of them. I can't seem to bother them because they look so scary. I stood there awkwardly. Then someone from their team noticed me.

"Excuse me, do you need something?"

After he said that, everyone on their team stopped what they were doing.

"I-I'm just going to a-ask i-if this water bottle b-belongs to any of you?" I asked as I slowly showed them the water bottle.

End of Flashback

I don't know who the hell is he?!!? While he knows me??

I can't even rememb----BAM!!

I just got headshot by a ball from the boy, who is laughing he's heart out. 

"YOU F*CKING GREYISH FREAK!" Elias shouted. After he shouted, he slapped the back of the head of Levi. 

"You don't just f*cking laugh at Beca after you hit her." Elias said. Then Kevin and Bryce went to where Elias is lecturing the poor boy, Levi. While, Calvin went to me to check if I'm alright.

"Hey, are you alright? Is your head okay? Where are you now?" Calvin asked without taking a break from asking questions.

They went overboard again...

"Calm down for a minute, Cal. I'm going to answer your question one at a time. Yes, I'm alright.  I'm here at MYS Academy for a practice match and I feel a little bit dizzy but I can handle it." I said

After that he went to Elias to calm him down for a bit. I look at Coach Val, who sweatdropped at the boy's behavior. 

Your not the only one, who is suffering, Coach...

I felt someone is staring at me again but it feels familiar. I look up to the other side, I found the MYS's team captain staring at me filled with worried eyes

The practice match started after the unexplainable situation earlier. Our line-up for today's practice match is pretty good.

Libero: Bryce Astor (2nd year)

Middle Blockers: Elias Ford (3rd year), Levi Martino (2nd year)

Setter: Kevin Tabiosas (3rd year)

Wing Spikers: Calvin Choi (2nd year), Isaiah Smith (1st year), Miguel Tabiosas (1st year)

"For today's match, you guys can be serious or not because we're going to analyze their strength and weakness." Coach Val said. Then, they proceed to discussed their strategy for today.

*WHISTLE*

"Let the practice match begin!" The advisor of the other team said.

"LET'S HAVE A GOOD GAME!" Everybody shouted.

While I was observing the MYS's line-up, I can tell that there's no first years in the line-up but it doesn't mean that they aren't gonna add one. The first one to serve the ball is MYS's team captain, Linc Harrison. Linc did a normal serve and he aimed it towards Levi. 

"It will not go up." I whispered loud enough to be heard by Coach Val and the other members of the team. And I'm right because Levi isn't not that good yet in receiving. 

"Don't mind!" We shouted or cheered him up.

The game continued with three straight ace serve from Linc. But luckily in the fourth serve, Levi received it properly. 

"NICE RECEIVED!" I shouted towards to Levi. And then, I met the most beautiful blue eyes of yours. 

Linc Harrison, you will be the death of me...

10 YEARS LATER...(FUTURE REBECCA BLISS)

I'm here in the garden, planting new flower collection. I got carried way by planting my new plant that I didn't noticed my children coming to me.

"Mom!" my 6-year-old little boy said. while running to me with his twin sister.

"Jacob! be careful, okay?" I said. After he tripped from the rock. And his twin sister came over to us with dirty hands.

"Mom! Look! look! what we got." Melissa, his twin sister said. She showed her hands in front of me and she was holding an old book.

It looks so familiar..

"We found it in your closet, Mom." Melissa said. She handed me the book that is covered with dust. After I took it from her, I suddenly remember that this is my diary.

"What is it, Mom"

"What's that, Mom"

"I-it's m-my diary, when I was in high school." I said. Then I felt something wet in my face. I didn't realized that a tear had fallen.

"Mom, why are you crying?" the twins asked. while I was wiping off my tears, and the twins hugged me that ended us in a messy situation.

"Before I gave birth to you two. I secretly write everything that happened in my life in this diary." I said.

"But before I read this, let's clean ourselves, okay."

"OKAY, MOM!" The twins said happily.

The twins raced themselves to our house. While I was cleaning up our mess, I picked up my diary from the ground. Then something caught my attention that is laying in the ground. It is a piece of paper that came from my diary. I picked it up and smiled after reading what is written on it
