Love Lies

Chapter 1

The biggest lie we are told is to find someone to make you happy.

Turns out this lie actually work for me in a very majestic way no one can ever think.

This is how everything started the day I meet the love of my life. I would have never known i can love someone this deeply until he came.

It was December, I was walking down the Street with my best  friend it was really chilling weather, beautiful streets decorated with fairy lights and my only love food. We are having lots of fun shopping together and trying tasty street food actually I am to lazy to cook anything so I was stuffing myself with this mouth watering food. And the best part  Lia my best buddy is paying for that, I wish everyone should have a friend like her. While I was busy stuffing myself her boyfriend joined us out of nowhere, I was surprised to see him. He said "hi " to me then hug Lia while looking at me and said" I am steal my girlfriend from you".

Lia looked at him and said "I told you it is a girl's night so I am not coming with you". They were chi-chatting like i am invisible to them. But my lia she was firm on her decision and turn him down. He looked at me and started  begging, "please you are the only one who  can change her decision, help me". I looked at Lia and then focused my gaze on him and said you can take her. He was in ecstasy and grabbed my hand and thanked me before he went to lia he said "i owe you one" and just like a wind he took Lia with him, "he sure knows how to make his way".

Now that i was left all by myself, I don't know what to do, so i was walking on the street and went where my feet takes me, to the ice skating ground it was so bright and beautiful. I am a fan of this sports the way people balance their body over a thin line and indulge themselves, it works like a spark in me.

I like this sport very much that i started this spot when I  was  in middle school but turns out the sport doesn't really like me. Though I can balance myself just okay. I rented the shoes and change in it quickly and enjoying myself. I was standing for a while and a kid came at me with full speed I freaked out and if I move the kid might hurt himself so without a second thought I try to stop him and I hit something really hard but wait it doesn't hurt that much. I open my eyes I saw a man who took my hit and saved us. The kids parents came and thankd us before leaving with the kid, thankfully the kid was fine. He gave me his candy for saving him.

The man who took the actual hit was sitting on the bench i went to him and he looked at me and asked if I am okay or am i hurt somewhere. I replied "I am fine", but are you?You took a hit. He said I hurt my shoulder but it going to be fine. I looked at him and told him to wait here I went to the medical shop and bring him heat packs and pain relief spray. When I reach the spot no one was there, may be he got tired of waiting and went. So I headed back to my home. I did my night routine and went to bed.

When i close my eye's, it reminds me of him, his eyes were ocean blue and bright though I never saw his face because it was covered with mask and woolen hat covering his ears and the long jacket upto his knees. Maybe he was in pain, but thanks to him me and that kid was safe. If I meet him again I will definitely going to by him dinner as gratitude.

The only question is, can i meet him again ?

Chapter 2

The vacation is about to end.

However, spending time with my entire family in our traditional village home was the best. There, we cooked delectable meals, played games, and engaged in nonstop cousin gossip.

I enjoyed every moment, which gives me

endless energy to start over again.

"Yep, to start again" This is my chance to get my life on track.

The company where I worked went bankrupt, and many people lost their jobs.

My family cannot know that I lost my job. I calmly told them that the previous owner had sold the company and that only the selected employees would be able to continue working there.

"I am one of the selected members because they were impressed by my work."

Everyone looked at me to see if I was telling the truth.

The last thing I said made everyone believe, i said,"the company had previously conducted a test and interview, and that's how I was chosen."

I am relieved that my efforts were paid. I kept practising these lies in the mirror to make them sound more real.

But there is one person who knows

I was lying: Lia's boyfriend and my sweet but not-so-sweet cousin.

I was afraid he might have spilled the beans. But what he said, something that shocked me "She's doing great, and I'm there to look after my dear sister.

I approached him shortly after and was about to say, "Thank you for not telling everyone."

He simply replied, "It is not for you."

I gave him a questionable expression.

"It's for my Lia; I don't want her to be sad because of you," he explained.

I should have guessed.

"After hearing you, mom and dad seemed

more relieved," I said.

He was on his phone, ignoring my words and playing a shooting game.

Before leaving, he looked at me and said,

"You better figure out what  you're going to do next."

After that, everyone said their final goodbyes and best wishes.

I returned to the city where I live and began unpacking my baggage while listening to silent music that made me go back to that evening.

The same song that is playing on board reminds me of him— the man with the ocean blue eyes—and although we only briefly look at each

other, the concern in his gaze was genuine.

I hope he's doing good, though.

"Come on girl focuse, he's not going to give you a job or feed you, so just stop thinking about him," I told myself.

I need to get ready for my interviews tomorrow. I was very excited because it had been a long time since I had interviewed, so let's hope for the best.

Because I am going to make it.

Make it my foot, I had three interviews today

and three of them rejected me because I have less work experience.

I worked for almost a year, despite the fact

that the year was only eight and a half months long.

I mean, how am I supposed to gain

experience if you don't hire me?

A never-ending cycle of want job, get experience.

Chapter 3

I have never introduced myself properly.

My name is Elena June, and I live in the city to pursue my dreams. I am an architect by profession.

"Graduates with a promising bright future." they say.

It's incredible. I mean, look, the brightness is so overwhelming that I can't see the future clearly. " I said to Lia. "

Lia came to meet me. I told her everything that had happened at home and how sorry I felt for lying to my family. To cheer me up, she took me to a cafe.

Lia knows what to do because she is an expert at reading the room. She asked me about my plans.

I've been looking for work for quite some time. I have some savings, but I need to get a job right away before I run out of time and money, "I said."

While we were talking, I noticed an old man sitting opposite the table reading the newspaper, and there it was, in bold letter advertisement from an architectural company.

I got up, moved in his direction, and asked him to give me the newspaper. The man was taken aback by my quick response, and so was Lia.

Without saying anything, he handed me the newspaper, but he was still looking at me.

I snatched up the newspaper and quickly read the column with the advertisements.

The requirement is that the candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in architecture as well as excellent communication skills.

"I have both a degree and good communication skills."

The second requirement is flexibility with time. "They say time is money, and I value it, so I am quite a flexible person."

"The only condition that bothers me is that you need to have at least two years of experience."

Life gives you opportunities, but you have to be smart enough to recognise them. This is my chance, and I'll do whatever it takes to make this opportunity worthwhile.

So I came up with this idea of creating a false experience certificate.

I looked at Lia with a smile.

"Whatever you're thinking, just drop the idea," she said.

"What? I'm feeling good today," I said. "

"When you smile in that way, the devil always triumphs, and the results are not favourable," Lia said.

After hearing me, she stated unequivocally, "I will not support you in this," and "if anyone figures it out, we don't know what will happen."

I know it's wrong, but I don't want to go back to my hometown, where everyone is ready to marry me off to someone I don't even like.

I beg you to keep this to yourself and do not discuss this with anyone, and that means your boyfriend.

Lia, don't worry. I'll make sure everything stays under control.

She agreed. After my moving speech.

The day arrived, bringing me one step closer to my dream.

Art-Tech is a well-known architectural firm that specialises in designing and building modern fusion structures.

I've arrived for the walk-in interview. They will only look at the documents during the interview, therefore I don't need to worry.

I inquired about the interview with the receptionist. She showed me the way and told me to wait until my name was called.

The decor was stunning, there weren't many people there, and I was completely entranced until they called my name.

I stood up and I entered the cabin. Two people conducted the interviews. The questioning began after I had greeted them. I finally left after twenty minutes.

Thank goodness, I told myself, "everything went smoothly."

All that's left for me to do now is wait for the call.
