When someone said dating Jeon Jungkook was gonna be hard, they weren't joking. Because I, Kim Taehyung, have experienced it. It's not hard because he's a brat or too spoiled, but the opposite. He's too kind, sweet and SO oblivious to the fact that every guy- and some girls- are flirting with him. I love him, but it was too hard for me to handle his fans. I broke it off. And the whole school, literally, was in joy when it happened.
Jimin
You know, you're a fool.
Jimin shut his locker and turned towards me.
Taehyung
What makes you say that?
I muttered, taking some books for my next class.
Jimin
Leaving Kook? Giving chance to thirsty guys and girls? Does that ring a bell in your dense head?
I slammed my locker shut.
Taehyung
What're you trying to say?
Everyone at the hallway turned towards us, including Jungkook. He stared and walked off to class, bringing Jin with him.
Jimin
Did you see how sad he looks? I know dealing with his fans is hard. You see how many people surround Yoongi, right?
Jimin shook his head, sighing.
Taehyung
Yeah, but Yoongi knows their intention, Chim. I can't say that Jungkook's dumb because he knows the limit. However, he thinks everyone has only good intentions for him.
I sighed, walking to my class.
Jimin
Whatever, bro. Just don't get jealous because like what you said, not everyone has good intentions but looking at Yugyeom, he looks like he's having the best intention on him.
He said, pointing towards Yugyeom who's hugging Kook by his side while he cries.
Jimin
And you made him cry, ässhøle.
Jimin
Anyways, bye. I'm late for... geography.
Jimin scrunched his face. I laughed and patted his shoulder.
Taehyung
Mr. Kang will be upset. You better make a run for it.
And he did as I entered English.
Jungkook
Thank you, Yugyeom. I appreciate it.
Jungkook smiled towards Yugyeom as he smiles back, nodding his head.
Yugyeom
You're welcome, Kook.
Taehyung was watching everything from the back. He clenched his fist and jaws as he watch the scene before him.
Jungkook
Say, is it okay for me to sit here, with you?
Jungkook said as he glanced to the back, where he used to sit. Taehyung scoffed so loud that he was sure that America heard it.
Yugyeom
Sure! No one's sitting here anyway.
Yugyeom said right after. Jungkook nodded and walked towards his old seat, reaching for his bag.
Taehyung
Moving on already, I see.
Jungkook
He's just A FRIEND.
He huffed, emphasizing 'a friend'.
Taehyung
Did this happen recently or has this been going on since we were together?
He asked, ignoring what Jungkook said. Before he could react, Jungkook slapped Taehyung, really hard.
Jungkook
Don't you dare talk to me like that. Know your limits, Tae.
He hissed before grabbing his bag and walked towards Yugyeom who witnessed it all.
A few minutes later, students came into the class along with Mr. Jeon who happened to be Jungkook's cousin.
Students
Good morning, sir.
Everyone greeted. He smiled back and gestured for everyone to take a seat which they did.
Mr. Jeon
Today, you'll be working in pairs. I'll choose your partners for you and you can choose any poem you want to recite in front of the class. This will be counted for your finals.
Mr. Jeon
Yeri and Mark, Namjoon and Jin...
The names were being called as Jungkook waited for his name to be called.
Mr. Jeon
Yugyeom and Jieun and finally, Jungkook and Taehyung. Alright then, get to work and next week will be the day you all present.
Taehyung groaned inwardly as Jungkook walks towards him. Once he sat...
Jungkook
What poem do you want to do?
He asked quietly. Taehyung looked towards him.
Taehyung
Anything, you choose.
Jungkook
How about 'My Mask'?
Jungkook
Putting on a mask so no one knows how you really feel.
Taehyung wrote their names on a piece of paper with their poem's title. He gave it to Mr. Jeon who eyed Jungkook. He sighed and shook his head.
Mr. Jeon
Thanks, Taehyung. You may go now.
Taehyung thought that it was weird.
Taehyung
💭 Does he know about our breakup? 💭
He thought but erased it when he saw Jungkook packing his things.
Jungkook
Mr. Jeon! Can I leave now?
He asked with teary eyes. Mr. Jeon nodded and Jungkook sprinted out of the class with Taehyung following quietly.
When Jungkook ran towards the rooftop, Taehyung ran for him as well. When he reached the top, he opened the door and ran outside. There he saw Jungkook weeping like someone just died. His heart clenched and it clenched harder when Yugyeom ran past him and towards Jungkook.
He just watched with anger in his own eyes as Yugyeom hugged and comforted him. Why was he feeling jealous, though? He broke it off, didn't he?
Taehyung realized, this has become a war between him and Yugyeom.

Told you he has the best intention with him.
Jimin popped the grape in his mouth as he swung his arms on Yoongi's shoulder.
Yoongi
Are you talking about Yugyeom?
Yoongi asked, eating the mango. I nodded and ate the mango as well.
Yoongi
That guy has a massive crush on Jungkook! He's so innocent just like him! They would be so perfect together.
Yoongi sighed, dreamily as Jimin nudged him.
Yoongi
He left him. His loss. I'm not gonna stop this potential relationship for someone who broke his heart wh- Oh! Hi, Kook. Yugyeom.
I turned around and found Jungkook smiling with Yugyeom as he sat next to Yoongi and Yugyeom next to me.
Yugyeom cut open an avocado as I scrunched my face.
Taehyung
💭 Not an avocado, please no! 💭
He asked the boy across him. Jungkook looked up and shook his head rapidly with a smile.
Jungkook
Sorry, Gyeomie. I'm not a fan of avocados. It's mushy and weird, to be honest.
Taehyung
💭 Oh, how those laughs used to be for me. And when he only called ME with nicknames. 💭
Yugyeom
Alright. Can I have the banana, please?
He gave him the puppy eyes. My jaws clenched as Jungkook gave him the banana. I pierced the mango with my fork harshly as everyone looked at me.
Jimin
Looks like someone is jelly~
Jimin sang, high fiving Yoongi with a laugh.
Jungkook asked looking confused. Yugyeom shrugged his shoulders as I glanced towards Jungkook. I chuckled as he took a piece of grape from Jimin and sucked its juice.
Jimin watched in terror as Jungkook took his whole bowl of grapes and exchanged it with his bananas. He tried taking the bowl again, but stopped when I glared hard at him as he mouthed '**** YOU' before eating a mango.
Jimin
Ewww! I forgot I hated mangoes.
He said, eating a banana to remove its taste.
Jungkook
Thank you, Jimin!
Jungkook sang as he grabbed Yugyeom away from the table.
I got up to follow them, but Yoongi pulled my sleeve. I turned around and Yoongi just shook his head.
Yoongi
Let him be. He deserves his happy ending too.
He said sadly, letting go of my sleeve. I chuckled.
I said and ran after Jungkook. I saw them at the garden as I hid behind the tree, watching them.
Jungkook
Why did it have to come to this?
Jungkook
Why can't people understand that I WAS taken. I WAS my happiest with him. That I only acknowledge them SO THAT THEY COULD STOP! They took away EVERYTHING!
He screamed thinking they were the only ones at the garden. I tried hard to keep my tears in my eyes as Yugyeom spoke up.
Yugyeom
Kook. I know it's hard, but you should let him go. You should try to find your happy ending. Not now, of course. Once you're ready. Maybe you can find someone who makes you happier than him.
He said, caressing Jungkook's back lovingly.
Jungkook
I don't think I can find my happy ending if he's not in the picture. I knew my happy endings exist because he exists. My happy ending is destroyed because he's not a part of it.
I left. I couldn't hear anymore. It's all too much. Was he really meaning everything he said? All the people he acknowledged, was to get them away from him? Had I been so dumb to realize his true intentions? The answer to all these questions was a big, fat, juicy- "YES!" someone screamed.
I looked forward and saw Jimin pump his hands in the air as he ran towards me.
Jimin
Did you hear? Jungkook scored first in this exam!
He said, excitedly. I grinned and walked towards the bulletin board where students are fighting to get a view.
Taehyung
He got first, I got second. Even grades can't seem to keep us apart.
I muttered as I scanned the results.
Yoongi
Jimin! You scored second last?!
Jimin
I know! I'm so happy. I'm not last anymore!
I laughed as I saw Yugyeom and Jungkook walking towards us.
Yugyeom
The results are out?! Man! What did I get?
Yugyeom whispered and went towards the bulletin board.
Jungkook bit his nails nervously. I smiled and answered him.
He froze and looked at me.
Jungkook
You're joking right?
Taehyung
I swear on the life of chocolates that you placed first.
I said, with a serious expression. His eyes widened as he covered his mouth with his hand.
He hugged me tightly and said 'thank you' over and over again. I hugged him back and out of reflex, I kissed him as he pulled back. When I broke the kiss, he looked shocked and I returned to reality when Jimin nudged me on my rib cage. I gave him a glare as he pointed towards Jungkook. His face was red as he wet his lips.
Taehyung
💭 God! What he's doing to me. 💭
Taehyung
I'm sorry, Kook. It's out of habit. I really didn't mean it, promise.
I said, searching his eyes.
Jungkook
It-it's okay... I-I understand.
Okay, I'm definitely smitten by this boy- again- and I'm gonna make him mine- again.
Taehyung
I bet your parents will be so proud of you.
I said, changing the topic. His face dropped when he said...
