My dear readers welcome to my second BL (Boy's love) novel "The Muted Prince of Zoulta", please note that if you hold any ill feelings or objectives for same-sex relationships this may not be the correct reading material for you. I write with an open mind and my characters come from all walks of life, with my writing style filled with adventure, action, romance and may at times be challenging to read mentally. I may at time touch upon some sensitive topics, but I'll always place warnings beforehand has not to traumatize the innocent. Please beware I will almost always have R-rated content within my novels, again this will come with a warning ;)

I welcome feedback good or bad, please make me aware when there are grammatical errors and I will edit the chapters. I know what it's like reading and seeing errors all over the place, it doesn't make for a good read, so please help your author out and let me know where I've gone wrong.

Furthermore, I will endeavour aim to update the date weekly, however depending on my family life (my three little beauties) and work schedule this may not always be on-time or the same days, for which I will apologize in advance.

Omega verse explained in relation to this novel

Omega verse is an alternative universe whereby males can conceive and reproduce. Within this world there are normally three well known second genders separated to into following categories Alpha, Beta and Omega. Deepening on the author, there can also be a fourth second gender, known as Gemma. However, this novel will only be focusing on the main three with the incorporating of werewolves' transformation and fundamental birth abilities whereby the individual is born with a special power or ability only they can master. Depending on the level of the ability, they can range from elementary, foundation, intermediated and metric.

Not all beings are born gifted, but all are born with a second gender, within this novel the transformation into the form of a werewolf can only be done by Alphas and betas.

Alpha

Alphas are more aggressive of the all the genders and tend to have stronger pheromones which they can use to demonstrate their dominance, power and to attract Omegas. Alphas are often successful and highly intelligent, so you would often find them in highly professional positions. As there are a low number of alphas in, society often sees them as trophies, and they're highly valued and respected.

When it comes to courting, alphas are very possessive and protective with their chosen mate, often covering their lovers with their pheromones to keep others away. Dominant alphas, however, can mark and claim their mates, a process that involves the alpha biting the nape of their lovers' neck and injecting their pheromones into them. Once marked and claimed, it creates an unbreakable bonded (much like a contract) between the two that prevents them from mating with another for the rest of their lives. A marked mate always carries the scent of their alpha, it in effects act as a repellent to ward off other potential suitors.

Physicality wise, alphas are larger and stronger of both betas and Omegas, and are always the dominant ones in bed, depending on whether that alpha is submissive or not.

Alphas can be both male and female, with the females being just as dominate. Biologically speaking, while the males already have a *****, females don't. Everything is different for the female alphas. Submissive female alphas can get pregnant, however submissive males can't as they don't carry the biological organs to accommodate a child.

For a dominant female alpha, where the clitoris is, once she gets aroused, a retractable ***** is there instead.

Beta

Betas are the second in command chain to an alpha, they can transform into wolf form and tend to be guards or soldiers, but generally they make up the largest percentage of the population.

Betas do not have pheromones and can control their sexual desires compared to the of an alpha and omega, who are physically drawn to each other's pheromones more so when an Omega is in heat.

Biologically wise, they can impregnate each other heterosexually male to both females' betas and a submissive female alpha. The males have a ***** and the females' vagina, with females being able to conceive by both dominant alphas or beta males. Due to their biological makeup, betas are unable to mate with omegas.

Physically, the build and strength of a beta depends on their genetic makeup, those of stronger builds are often found in areas involving manual labour, the army or as royal guards.

Not many betas are born with a fundamental birth ability which can take form in many ways, the most common being visioners, those who possess a practical ability are placed as personal guards to the royal family.

Omega

Omegas are the lowest ranks within society, over 600 years ago laws were passed by the late emperor Cheng Mi after he had an affair with an omega during its heat. One of the laws implemented stated that all omegas are to be imprisoned from birth and are forbidding from mating with an alpha. Their only purpose being to serve the lands of Zoulta within their army's, farmlands, homes (as servants) and at times reproduction (which was a rare request as many alphas were too afraid to court an omega).

Physicality wises they're the softer and less physically able of the second genders, with their main qualities being to find a mate, ideally an alpha and bore them offspring's. Omegas like alphas can produce pheromones, and every quarter month they go through what is called a heat cycle. During this time, they exude high levels of pheromones and their bodies become sexually aroused to the point where they're sometimes not in control of their actions. When they are in this state their only objective to find an alpha and mate, to do this they use their pheromones as a homing signal to attract a potential mate.

Though they may be the most fragile of the three-second genders they are the most compatible sexually when satisfying the sexual needs of an alpha, compared to a beta whose body recovers at a much slower pace, omegas are far better at withstanding the physical desires of an alpha. Their quick recovery is also the reason they are often targets for cruelty and why the pervious king enslaved their population.

A Zoultanian omega has not his/her own identity and is only referred to by their registered slave numbers. They are maintained and kept at the special unit facility until auctioned off to their respected masters. No omega is permitted to verbally communicate with their masters, with each owner having its own separate unit for their omega. To ensure the obedience of each omega, they are isolated from society from birth and only taught how to satisfy (non-sexual) their masters.

To ensure that an omega doesn't go into their heat cycle, they are given heat suppressants medication and at times have had their reproductive organs removed. Though they maybe slaves of the Zoultan lands, physical abuse towards omegas is forbidden by their masters and all underperforming omegas are returned to the facility and retrained.

What is a heat?

Heat is the time when the Omega is most fertile and ready to mate, or just hide away until the heat is over. If they have an Alpha mate, they will never leave their side unless they need to get their Omega food or water. Mainly, they have sex and then rest. They keep a watchful eye over their Omega, listening to them and caring for them. But in bed, they still are the dominant ones.

If an Omega has no mate and is unmarked, that could be dangerous to even leave the house. They could get raped, even if they protest and try to run.

A good part about this heat is that the Omega will self-lubricate, which means they only need to prep the Omega a bit more to have sex. During these heats, an omegas' hormone increases to extreme levels. A strong scent (pheromones) is released during the heats, causing the Alphas to smell it and chase after the Omega. If there is already an Alpha with that Omega, they will fight the other Alphas off.

Suppressants and are used to stop the heats from happening and reduce an omegas scent. There is a pad-like item for the male Omegas to help stop the leaking from the lubrication when they are in public.

How does pregnancy work?

For female Betas and Omegas, they can become pregnant from a male beta or alpha fertilizing their pre-existing ovarian tract during sex. Once a female beta is pregnant, she will carry her fetos/baby for around ten months, and five months for a female omega.

For male omegas, however, their ovarian tract develops after finding an alpha mate and experiencing their first heat together. Once their ovarian tract has developed, they will be able to conceive during their heats only, unlike their female counterpart who have a small chance of getting pregnant outside their heat cycle. Their male bodies will also change physically, such as developing ****** and their hips widen to accommodate their growing child. The physical and emotional change can be stressful on a male omega, hence why they need their alphas full attention and love during this period.

How does birth work?

Female Omegas and Betas are born with their reproductive organs already in place and can give birth vaginally. However, for male omegas and submissive female alpha, this organ is later formed upon finding a mate. During birth, a male omegas anal passage will dilate and increase in size to accommodate their impending baby. Female submissive alphas will give birth vaginally.

Marking / Mating

This occurs when the Alpha bits his/her Omega gland, which is located on their necks. They release a spike of oxytocin into the Omegas blood, triggering the release of vasopressin in the Alpha. Omegas will also produce a chemical compound in the presence of other Alphas when pair-bonded, as a warning to other Alphas.

During heat, the Alpha is required to mating through a mated bond: if they are absent, this causes the omega to have an unsuppressed heat and could lead to the bond fading and the Omega susceptible to other Alphas claiming them.

When a mated or bounded omega alpha dies, they will go through a process referred to as un-bounding. This involves the body going into a withdrawal state, with symptoms including sweating, vomiting, fever, dizziness and at times convulsions, to rid the body of their mate's chemical imprint. If symptoms are extreme along with a weak omega mental state, due to the loss of their mate, un-bounding can lead to death. Hence, why bounding or mating is done primarily with a fated mate.

Scenting/ pheromones

Alphas and Omegas tend to have unique scents which they emanate to attract each other or used to show their dominance. Pheromones are produced mainly by scent glands on the wrist, neck and cheeks, and for Omegas it's the genitals.

When claiming a mate, the Alpha will rub their face and hands on the face and neck of their chosen Omega, as an additional warning to other Alphas that this Omega is claimed. Omegas scent Mark their Alphas as well, though this tends to be more subtle, usually done through physical contact, such as hugging and cuddling.

150 years ago, during the reign of Emperor Gang Li Cheng, the then Alpha and most powerful werewolf of the Zoulta, the people of Zoultanian lives flourished with riches and power. The then Emperor ruled over his people with his female Alpha Empress Cheng Li Lu, who during their marriage had given birth to a son they named Prince Gang Li Kang.

Just like his father, Gang Li Kang was born an Alpha, not only was he devastatingly handsome, but he was exceptional at whatever he did.

By the time he was eighteen, Li Kang had mastered his fundamental birth ability* and was well known throughout the lands as the 'master of fire', it was an ability that hadn't been seen in the Empire of Zoulta for centuries.

Prince Li Kang's ability to create fire not only granted him victories during his times of wars, but his wolf form was deemed one of the strongest in Zoultanian, even far surpassing his father.

However, even with such great power this wasn't enough for prince Li Kang, he wanted too far exceed those before him and after, with his name and reign as future Emperor forever known beyond the history books.

Before his birth, it was fore told by visionaries that prince Li Kang's  faith and his future downfall would rest in the hands of his fated mate. Having reached mating age, Gang Li Kang and those looming words etched into his heart. Li Kang did all he could to avoid meeting his future mate. Having spent ten years evading the inevitable, the two fated lovers finally found each other, in the most unglamorous of situations. The naive Prince had assumed that the palace would be the last place for him to cross paths with his fated mate, even worst with him being staked ***** amid committing the most sinful of acts with one of his chamber maids.

To make matters worse, Li Kang's worst fears had come to light when his fated mate was none other than a male omega slave, the most despicable of genders within the Zoultanian lands.

Not wanting others to find out, Gang Li Kang locked his fated mate away, refusing to accept his feelings for him. To disperse palace rumours that his fated mate was a low-level male omega slave, Li Kang married and claimed Princess Zhang Wu Xiuying, an alpha female from the Zhang Wu kingdom. Filled with hatred that Li kang's heart truly belonged to another, Princess Zhang Wu Xiuying made it her personal mission to punish Li Kang's fated mate daily, with Gang Li Kang turning a blind eye to his plight only asking that she spared his life.

For years, prince Li Kang allowed is fated mate to suffer at the hands of princesses Xiuying. It was told that a week before his passing he begged prince Li Kang to visit him one last time, though he knew that Li Kang would never accept him, the pull of their un-bonded connection gave hope that Li Kang may show him even an ounce of affection, before he departed from this world. But Kang never obliged to his mate's request, instead he was visited by princess Xiuying who committed her last despicable act of violence towards him.

Unbeknown to Li Kang his refusal would be his worst mistake, on the night of his mate's death, the moon and the skies bleed a harrowing red, a sight never seen before, it was as if the heavens themselves wept for his passing. That same night as prince Li Kang laid asleep, he arose sharply having experienced a sharp pain in his chest, it felt as though his whole world had just been ripped from him and in places, he was filled with a deep emptiness. As he tears rolled down his cheeks for reasons he did not yet understand, a male figure appeared, like an angel in the glow of a warm light the man stood before Kang with a face so beautiful that it took his breath away, the pain within Li Kang's chest intensified crippling him to his knees at the mere sight of such a man. As Li Kang cried in agony, the male stood silently gazing at him with a warm look on his face, "who are you! What do you want from me!" Li Kang spat with gasping breaths, but still the man said nothing before his figure faded into the darkness.

When Li Kang finally learnt of his mates' death, he rushed to his side, refusing to believe what he was told. However, on arrival, though he had seen many gruesome seen during his time at war, seeing his heart's only true love lying lifeless with his lips sewed shut with his body staving and frail, Li Kang's heart wept.

The sight of his mates' lifeless body shattered Li Kang mentally, with his first thought wanting to execute his chosen wife to rid himself of his own guilt and anger. But his plans faltered when his wife announced she was with child, under the pressure of his parents and the life of his unborn child she was granted pardon and allowed to live. Three years after their son was born it was determined that the child was mute, they tried for many years to cure the boy but to no avail. Upon visiting the empire's well known visioners* it was prophesied that the boy and any future heirs of the Zoultan empire would carry the curse. Their only cure being for the muted one to find the one bestowed with the fundamental birth ability to heal, but first they would have to win that chosen's one heart.

After years of searching, Li Kang was never able to find such a person during his lifetime, therefore his son was never healed and after 150 years the curse remained a well-hidden secret within the palace. Now the time has come, for our new prince Gang Li Hung to find this chosen person and break his families curse once and for all, for himself and the people of Zoulta.

Definitions

**Fundamental birth ability**

This is a birth ability in the form of one of the four heavenly elements, they are water, fire, earth and air. Commonly people are born with only one ability which takes years to master, However the ability to have multiple abilities is called "Iunctura". For one to gain the gift of "lunctura" they must find and bound with their one true destined mate, once bounding is formed the twos fundamental birth ability will merge granting their mate the ability multiple abilities.

Abilities can be ranged from elementary, Foundation, intermediate and prodigy, not many meet prodigy stage. Fundamental birth abilities are commonly found in alphas, none has been discovered in omegas of betas.

**visioneries**

These individuals tend to be betas, and they have the ability to see into the future or past. Depending on their levels of the visioners  they can be useful or be the cause of your demise.

"Son, how long do you assume you can keep evading your wife?" Empress Wang Lei Fu asked sternly as she chases after her son, down the golden corridors of Chèn Xíng* palace to his bedchambers. For the past three years, Prince Gang Li Hung has been married to Princess Zhang Wu Shu and has yet to consummate their marriage.

Upon entering his bedchamber Gang Li Hung turned to face his mother, using is hands to communicate he responded firmly, //Mother we have had this discussion already, I do not wish to bed Zhang Wu Shu. I've known her since we were children, I do not possess those type of desires towards her. The only reason I had agreed to marry her was for the sake of the empire, please do not ask more of me//, Gang Li Hung pleaded.

A young man of only twenty-one prince Gang Li Hung was a rare sight indeed, his fiery golden like eyes, with snow-white hair and skin, made him an out-worldly beauty. Born an alpha with the birth ability to control the air he was given the people's name of "Bài Tiānshî" meaning 'white angel', but he's also known by a more unpleasant calling "Sairentowan" meaning 'silent one', for the prince has never spoken a single word since the day he was born, and was well known for his cold demeanour, only ever seen in the presence of his mother or personal guard.

Wang Lei Fu sensing Li Hung's intensions confronted her son, "Gang Li Hung, are you not being unjust to Zhang Wu Shu. From the day she was born, she has dedicated her life to becoming your wife and this empire's future empress. You must do right by her". Though empress Wang Lei Fu felt heavy in her heart having had her only son marry a person he didn't love, they were left with really no other alternative. The Zhang Wu family knew of their secret, and for the past 150 years they have benefited from that secret.

Gang Li Hung sighed inwardly, his mother was always good at winning his favour, but he refuses to yield on this matter. He has already betrayed that person by marrying Zhang Wu Shu, if he does any more, he doubts he could in all right conscience seek them out and in return ask for their heart. //mother please don't ask for which I cannot give, please//, he pleaded hoping she would have pity on him.

A sudden sadness overcame Wang Lei Fu, taking her hand to stroke the soft white hair hanging loosely at Li Hung's shoulders, she inhaled sharply, fighting back the tears which dared to come she gently spoke, "son am no longer asking as your mother but as the empress of these lands, do not anger the Zhang Wu family any further, lay with Zhang Wu Shu even if it is once, I'll have everything arr……"

//MOTHER NO!// Gang Li Hung signed firmly with his hands, a stern look appeared on his face as he opposed strongly to his mother words. Though no words escaped his mouth, his sudden change in demeanour was enough to convey his feelings.

Startled by Li Hung's reaction, Wang Lei Fu was none-the-least surprised, for she knew Li Hung had set his heart on changing his faith. However, this was something Wang Lei Fu no longer believe he could do. There was once a time she had hope and believed he would succeed where others had failed, but times have changed and with the throne on the verge of being ripped from them, she had little time to indulge in fruitless fantasies.

Having had enough,  Wang Lei Fu stood firm and again continued in a more serious tone, "I have given you enough time, I have to think of not just you but the people of Zoulta. I will have Zhang Wu Shu sent to you tomorrow, be ready to accept her and this time don't try any of your little tricks". She cautioned Li Hung harshly.

Felling wronged Gang Li Hung tried to reason with his mother //… But Moth…//

"Enough!....the decision is final, you will bed Zhang Wu Shu tomorrow!", Wang Lei Fu said sternly before storming out of Gang Li Hung's bedchamber.

On the other side of the door, stood await and listening was Haruto Toshiaki the long-time friend and personal guard of prince Gang Li Hung. Once he was sure that the empress was out of view he knocked three times on Li Hung's bedchambers, it was a secret code used between the two, since very few knew of Li Hung's secret.

Having made himself known, Haruto Toshiaki waited for a response and after a long pause the sound of someone knocking twice could be heard coming from within Li Hung's bedchamber. Upon hearing this, Toshiaki entered, "Your majesty?" he called before immediately going to bow his head, to which Li Hung waved his hand in a dismissive manner, stopping him.

//why do you always do that when we're alone?// Li Hung asked, still slightly frustrated at his earlier encounter with his mother.

"My apologise your majesty" replied Toshiaki walking closer to come face to face with Li Hung who was seated at a nearby desk at the far end of his grand room. "I heard what your mother said, will you do as she has asked?"  he questioned, somewhat worried, for he knew of Li Hung's true intensions.

Gazing at the tall and well-built man with peacing brown eyes infront of him, Li Hung pondered on his question, 'how do I get out of it this time?' he thought to himself.

"Yo….your majesty?" Toshiaki called out after a long time had passed, pulled from his thoughts, Li Hung smiled slyly, //we'll do what we always do Toshiaki// he replied.

Toshiaki frown slightly, "your majesty, do you really want to go against your mother?…… She's one of the strongest female alphas I know an……and……let's be honest she's not the best when angered….why…. Don't we just do as she requests? If I recall, last time she nearly killed one of her beta chamber maids when she transformed into her wolf form and created a sandstorm with her abilities, upon hearing you had done another one of your tricks to avoid princess Zhang Wu Shu…. Your majesty she is your wife and a husband must lay with his wife must he not" Toshiaki fruitlessly tried to make his friend see sense.

Looking somewhat defeated and annoyed, Li Hung sighed, //in that case, why don't you take her Toshiaki?// he suggested frustratingly.

A shocked Toshiaki choked on his saliva, "cough…. Cough…. Your majesty don't make such crude statements, if others were to hear you they would think very little of princess Zhang Wu Shu. Your majesty I know your intensions but does that mean you have to ignore princess Zhang Wu Shu, many emperors and kings have many wives at once, am sure the one you hope to find will be none-less concerned with whom you have bedded before them, so why save yourself for that one?". Toshiaki questioned, he was always curious as to why Li Hung's refuses to lay with princess Zhang Wu Shu, as the future emperor he can have as many concubines as he pleases, in-fact it was a requirement, so why is this future emperor so set on hiding his manhood away till he finds that one.

//Toshiaki not everyone wants to just plough the field with just anyone, before I do that, I want my first time to be with the one I care for deeply, is that too much to ask, I want that person to know they're my first for everything. I simply can't give that away to Zhang Wu Shu not when I don't feel for her in such manner//, Li Hung adamantly defended himself.

Turning away to look outside at the distance of the bright and beautiful Chen Xing palace garden, Li Hung thought through clenching fits of his other reason for refusing Zhang Wu Shu, and it was 'I truly despise her and her family'.

Seeing that Gang Li Hung was adamant in his decision, Toshiaki accepted defeat, "In that case I will make the arrangements your majesty… I will also see to it that our other plans are still underway, is there anything else you would like your majesty" asked Toshiaki who didn't receive a response from an absentminded Li Hung, "very well I will take my leave your majesty" and with that Toshiaki left a dazed Li Hung gazing seamlessly out the window.
