I woke up confused and disoriented as I felt myself combating a terrible headache. I gripped the sheets, fighting the dull pain. My eye lids fluttered open and shut as I tried to pry them open so as to gain my bearings. "Haah... haah... why..." I panted faintly as I crawled out of my bed.
I steadied my body on the nightstand as the pounding got worse. It can't be a hangover can it? I don't remember drinking anything...
Suddenly, the dull thud grew sharper making me lose my grip on the nightstand. I fell on the floor grasping my head. Ugh... Make... It... Stop...
Memories of a young man with sky blue hair filled my head as images of people ganging up on him, beating and teasing him flashed before my eyes. What... Is... This?
It didn't stop there however as I saw the glares of other young men targeted at him and visions of water being poured over his head.
The young man said nothing throughout all these visions, he only glared back at his bullies, boring into them with his piercing blue eyes.
With the piercing gaze being the last scene I saw, my eyes fluttered open in a start as I stared up at an unfamiliar ceiling, covered in my own sweat.
I sat up and glanced around, taking in my surroundings. Where... Am I? This isn't my room... Oh. A mirror. I thought as I rushed towards it.
In the mirror stood a dashing young man with sky blue hair and crystal blue eyes. How beautiful... he looks like a painting... so surreal...
I touched the mirror, tracing the reflection of the young man in it. Hmm... If it's a reflection then... Oh my God! Woah! If it's a reflection... Holy Cow! That's Me?! I'm so beautiful! Well handsome to be exact... but... WOW! I can't believe it!
The body I'm currently in is of a young man who had luscious sky blue locks and beautiful crystal blue eyes to match. He has pale white skin, was tall and his body was well built. The shirt I wore clung to my body, showing off the muscles that the owner of this body had trained to build.
I peeled off the white shirt, soaked with my sweat and observed myself in the mirror. My body was bruised and battered, covered with numerous markings that indicated I had been beaten.
The bruises stood out as well against the pale skin of my body. My hands clenched into a fist as I stared at my reflection. They hit me where it won't show so they don't get into trouble, huh. How typical.
As my hand caressed the bruises, a sudden shriek caught my attention. I turned towards it to find a woman clad in a maid's outfit covering her eyes as she quickly pardoned herself.
I stared at the woman and took slow lengthy strides as I approached her. As I neared her, she flinched and shivered. I wonder if she was terrified of the owner of the body?
"You..." I started only to be cut short by the maid's apology. "I-I'm sorry for entering without knocking Sir Sapphire... I didn't know you were changing..." the maid blurted out, peeking at my body through the parting of her fingers.
"Oh? And is that wrong?" I asked with a grin on my face as I leaned against the door frame, staring at her flirtatiously. "M-my lord... It's forbidden for maids to look at the sons of the household's body... Only butlers can serve you... I was just here to deliver a message..." the maid said as she snuck glances at my body.
"I see. Doesn't that mean you're special? Being able to come here, to see me?" I asked as I tilted her chin upwards so that she would be forced to meet my gaze. "O-oh... Sp-special? Me? ... Lord Sapphire..." the maid said, clearly charmed as her cheeks flushed a soft hue of pink.
I grinned at myself as I led her into my room, glaring at the butlers who stood in front of my room. I then shut the door behind me as I observed the butlers leaving to finish other chores around the house.

"So... What is this message that you were meant to deliver?" I asked as I carassed the maid's long brown hair with my thumb and index finger before kissing it. "Ah... my lord... I was to inform you that your father will be arriving tomorrow." the maid replied as she snuggled closer towards me, pressing herself against my body.
"I see..." I said as I peeled myself from her embrace and got out of bed, dressing up in a robe. "Get out. I'll call you soon." I said as I stared coldly at her. "My lord... I understand..." the maid hesitated before obliging, swiftly wearing her uniform as she excused herself from the room in a hurry.
I sighed as I ruffled my hair. My fingers ran through my hair easily, as if I were touching the soft fur of a divine beast. I touched my head again, feeling the softness of my luscious locks.
Ignoring the newfound discovery, I stared at the emblem carved on the coffee table. It was of an image of a wolf baring it's fangs. Wolves meant many different things back in my world... I'm not sure of it's meaning in this world. But, I can only assume it is the family's crest.
Laying the informations I knew down on paper, I realized that I was in the body of Sapphire Del Crowne. The villain of the story Flirting With A Jewel. How peculiar, as it was the last thing I remember reading as Darryl Richardson.
I stood up suddenly as I headed towards the door. A few butlers stood waiting as they bowed upon seeing me. "My lord. Let us accompany you to the bath." the men said in unison as I nodded an affirmation.
The butlers then escorted me to the bathroom as they stripped me and wiped down my body. I said nothing as I mentally slapped myself due to the awkwardness of the situation. It felt awkward since I was used to doing things by myself.
I knew that young masters and basically rich people had servants at their beck and calls but being wiped down and showered by men who clearly clean your body thoroughly is just plain embarrassing. I grew rigid as I felt them clean my little Sapphire. Ahhh... How embarrassing.

Time flew and I had finished my bath(feeling my soul departing my body). The butlers swiftly dressed me into a fine white coloured satin shirt. The sleeves were ruffled and there was a jabot(?) I think, adorning it. Uwah. How old fashioned. I have to say though, the outfit suited the character well, making him look more charming.
I was then ushered towards the dining room where I came face to face with the villain's mother. Her pale blue hair, an exact similar tone to mine fluttered gently as she turned to face me. "Ah. Sapphire, dear." she said softly as she smiled tenderly.
I get that Sapphire hated his name, however, why should he hate his parents? At the very least, they seemed to care about him a lot. Was he in his rebellious state?
As I assumed the role of a villain, I ignored her greeting and sat down at the dining table lined with breakfast dishes. How extravagant, I thought as I picked some pancakes to pair with my yogurt while pouring some honey over it.
The lengthy gazes and fidgets from the villain's mother were hard to ignore throughout the breakfast. I tried to quickly eat so as to leave the room but was stopped short when the villain's father entered.
The air felt oppressed and I could feel my hands begin to tremble. I turned towards the man only to feel my throat contracting, making it grow harder to breathe. Nevertheless, I steeled myself and dared a glance towards him.
My eyes caught his, similar crystal blue eyes, only harsher and colder. He had a serious look on his face and a shade of brownish-orange hair that reminded me of the sun.
I contemplated whether to greet him but instead stood to leave. "Wait. Sit down." the man said with his voice echoing in the room, sending shivers down my spine. My legs shook, causing me to fall back into my seat. I kept my eyes down casted at my empty plate as the oppressing air choked my airway.
"You finished eating already? I just arrived. You didn't greet me either... And from the looks of it, you didn't greet your mother either. How ill-mannered are you?" the man asked as he clicked his tongue. "Honey, don't be like that. I'm sure he didn't mean to..." Sapphire's mother said, trying to calm the man.
"Sapphire, I can only tolerate so much. How... How could you treat us, your parents this way?! Do you know how sad your mother is? Every night without fail, she cries herself to sleep. Because of you! Why are you acting up?" the man asked in a tone I couldn't make out. It was a mixture of anger and... sadness...
Silently I looked up towards my mother. She noticed me looking at her and smiled tenderly as the tears glimmering in her eyes slid down her pearl white cheeks. "Sapphire..." she said as she reached out to touch my face.
I thought I'd recoil but in the end didn't as she gently caressed my cheeks. "Is it... you resent us... because of your name?" she asked so softly I nearly asked her to repeat her question when I caught her beautiful yellow eyes, the colour rivaling a citrine gemstone looking directly into mine.
I didn't reply and averted my gaze from hers, not knowing what to say. My father stood up and walked over to my side, where he pulled my face out of my mother's grasp upwards to look at him.
I tensed up, feeling the cold sweat trickling down my back. I didn't know much about this character as he did not play too big of a role in the story but from the way my body was trembling, I suppose Sapphire was afraid of his father.
"Sapphire... your name... don't you know what it means?" my father asked, with a look that indescribable upon his face. "... Wh... what... It's just a girly name..." I replied, trying to brush off his hands from my face.
"Sapphire... holds a meaning where it bestows wisdom, virtue, good fortune, and holiness on a person... especially royalty... That's why we named you Sapphire... It was also due to the perfect combination of crystal blue eyes and sky blue hair you inherited from the both of us... Even if you despise us... We love you." my father said as his expression grew soft. I saw the sadness in his eyes and weary expression on his face as I came to realize that Sapphire wasn't abandoned by his family but was the one who abandoned them, all because he hated his name.
I gripped onto my father's hand as a tear shed from my eye. I glanced at him, staring straight into his eyes. "I... see... that's..." I choked, holding in the tears threatening to fall. It seemed as if Sapphire was waiting for them to say this to him as I felt a heavy weight lifted from my chest.

Though what happened during breakfast went against the plot, I'm still the villain of this story. That's why I should plan my next move and not dwell on this one. I hummed softly to myself as I peered out the windows, walking to my room.
If I'm not mistaken, the next scene would be tomorrow... when the crown prince finally shows up at the academy... Heh, since he'll be there, I may as well start planning on how to topple this hierarchy! I'll make him my slave! Then no one in the academy will dare go against me! What a brilliant plan!
Though I said I was going to make the Prince my slave, even getting near him was difficult. He was always surrounded by people, so approaching him was impossible. Not to mention the guard he had close to him, a character with strong chivalry and respect for people regardless of class.
He had hair as red as blood and eyes of piercing black that people said was where he stored the soul of the people he killed on the battlefield. From the plot, Rose and him had known each other but haven't seen each other in a long time. If it weren't for the prince, I think they'd have married each other instead. Not like the ending would change much.
The knight was Frederick Del Lucardio, at a young age of about 6 or 10 years old, he was certified as a genius at swordsmanship and had been placed next to the crown prince's side. Perhaps not as an aide but more of a reassurance in case he were to go rogue or work against the kingdom.
Frederick, from rumours and his actions is a loyal servant to the kingdom. He is silent and obedient, if the prince hates someone, he'd go as far as to silence that person with Frederick doing his bidding. The prince himself doesn't seem like much but a playboy however. It was such a contrast I had no idea why Frederick would stay by his side.
Perhaps I should approach him instead... It sounds plausible but difficult as his guards are high and he is not one for small talk. Not to mention his serious expression that makes anyone tremble... Oh my God... Is he looking here? Shit... It's terrifying yet my legs are numb and glued to this spot... I can't even take my eyes off of him... Am I going to die? This soon?! How is it already endgame? No no no... It might be a mistake... There's probably someone behind me...
I decided to slowly look away when Fred suddenly started walking in my direction. SHIII--- NO WAY NO WAY! I HAVEN'T EVEN PROPERLY PLANNED MY EMPIRE DOMINATION PLAN NOR COMMENCE IT! I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING! WHY IS HE? I panicked as my hand slipped and I fell backwards from the bench I was sitting on.
My eyes squeezed shut as I awaited the force of impact on my head only to feel someone catching me and the sound of clashing of metal against metal. I forced my eyes open to find Fred holding me up with one hand while the other holding his sword. What... just happened...?
"You... are you alright?" Fred asked as he held me up, closer against his chest. I'm no homo but that made my heart skip a beat. "Huh... I... I guess...?" I stammered as I felt my face flush red. Noticing my probably flustered or embarrassed expression, I shoved him away, thanked him and ran off in a hurry. What was that?! That has never happened! I've never felt this embarrassed nor flustered before... Plus! It's a dude! OMG am I turning gay?! No way! My **** worked the other day, with a woman, plus it didn't react to the butlers!
I panted as I tried to catch my breath after running a distance from where the incident occurred. I'm probably thinking too much. I was probably just too shocked when he caught me... Ack! It happened again! Just as I thought of his face... Ma-maybe it's a disease this original body has. Yeah... that's it... Phew...
As I calmed myself down, I noticed the atmosphere and place around me was different. The layout of the classrooms and study hall differed from where I was at last. From the looks of it, it was the senior students' study area. I scratched the back of my head as I turned around to leave; only to bump into a tall man.
I looked up to find a man standing at least two heads taller than me looming over me. I apologised and tried to scurry pass him only to be tripped by his foot. I turned to question him only for him to push me back onto the ground by stepping on my back. The... F**k? "Y-you... What are..." I growled as I grabbed at the sand on the ground.
I threw it backwards in his direction expecting it to blind him temporarily but instead incited his anger even more. What is up with this guy? No one gets pissed just from a small bump... How petty are characters in this book? "Hey. You bumped into me, damaged my shirt... and then you threw sand at me. How shall I punish you... huh?" the man asked me in a deep voice as I felt him step harder on me.
"What... The F*** are you saying?! It's just a small bump! Plus, I apologized you ****ing moron! You tripped me and stepped on me and you expected me to lay here like a dead body?!" I yelled at him as I struggled to get out from under his foot. "Ah... that's good. Let me just kill you. Then you'll be a REAL dead body." he replied with a chuckle.
"What are you doing?! Why is your foot on this chap?" a voice asked as I strained to look at the owner of the voice. Huh... Fred... why is he here? Oh my gosh... this is embarrassing... for a villain like me to be saved countless times in one day...
"Huh? This guy bumped into me, spoiled my favourite shirt and threw sand at me. Of course I'm going to teach him a lesson." the man replied as he stomped harder, forcing my face to press against the grainy floor. "That doesn't seem like the case. I saw him bump into you and apologized. Then as he was leaving, I saw you trip him with a sneer on your face. As for your shirt... it looks pretty much fine. I don't see how its spoilt. The sand was his attempt to tell you to get off of him. With your weight... you could have easily killed him. So... take your foot off of him." Fred said as he pointed his sword towards the man.
"Hah! Or what? With that sword of yours... You dare stand against your senior? I have more experience than you. Plus... my skin is as tough as iron. It's impossible to harm me." the man sneered as he chuckled.
"Oh? Who said I was going to? There are more ways to harm someone than brute strength. Plus... if it's experience... then I've got more than you." Frederick replied as he swung his sword a couple of times before placing it back into the scabbard.
"AH! MY FAVOURITE SHIRT! NO... MY CLOTHES! F**K! YOU... ugh..." the man yelled before I felt the weight on my back subside and heard the sound of footsteps running off in the distance. "Are you alright?" Fred asked as he knelt in front of me with his hand outstretched, concern plastered on his face. I hesitated to take his outstretched hand but took hold of it in the end.
"I suppose... Once again... I'm in your debt." I replied as I avoided his gaze. Fred however grabbed my face and squeezed my cheeks as he turned my head from left to right inspecting it. "What... are... you doing?" I asked with my voice muffled. "Your face... is hurt... and I'm sure your back hurts too. No need to be shy, let me help you. I've noticed how you always get hurt so... I'll stick by your side... oh... when I don't need to watch the prince of course." Fred replied as he slipped me over his shoulder in a piggyback with ease after letting go of my face.
"W-wait! What?! Ow ow ow... what are you doing??? I barely know you! It's also embarrassing..." I replied as I struggled about flustered. "Haha... I know. That's why, here. Cover your face with it." Fred replied as he tossed me his uniform jacket.
At a lost of what to do, I reluctantly buried my face in his back as I draped his jacket over my head. How did I become a damsel in distress? This is so awkward! I know we are meant to be enemies in the future so this random display of empathy from him is driving me nuts! Not to mention this crazy beating of drum in my ears! Ahhh! It's definitely not my heart!
