Hi my name is sapphire...and these mean comments are a hint of my life but let's start from the beginning...well it all started when I was four maybe five?

I don't quite remember It's just that it was always me, my mother, my dad and my older brother the big bad wolf (that's what I prefer to call him.)

Anyway life was perfect I had my family and I didn't need friends just reading and drawing.

But it all changed when my first day of kindergarten came I was perfectly ready so early in the morning even though I was never a morning type of a person I was so excited to make friends meet teachers and have more books to read.

"Okay bye I will tell you about everything when I come back" I said.

"Sapphire sweetie who are you talking to?" My mother asked.

"No one mama" I said and walked after her as I looked back and whispered "bye" to my room.

We reached my school the place seemed ok I guess...with colourful walls so bright that it hurt my eyes circular tables so every 4 or 5 kids sit together ,a shelf full of educational toys and big green carpet to sit on when the teacher talk with us.

All the kids looked at me with disbelieve and I don't know was it because it was my first day or because I was wearing a black dress and a hair tie with a skull on it.

The teacher with a kind smile but tired eyes she introduced me to the kids as they sat on the carpet while I was standing beside her.."Now everyone say hi to sapphire... you all remember how your first day was hard and scary? So I expect you to treat her nice and be good friends okay?" The teacher said

All the kids said in one voice "we will!"

"Sapphire would you like to tell us a bit about yourself?"

But I stayed silent

"How about your hobbies ?your mama told me a lot how imaginative you are" the teacher said trying to encourage me

"Well..."

"Yes?"

"I like reading and drewing my friends"

"Oh... you are a good friend I see"

"Thanks... I really love them all but my best friend is boogy"

"Boogy...does he live near you?"

"Yes so near that my mother doesn't even notice him, he lives under my bed" I said excitingly didn't know that my imaginary friend creeped everyone including the teacher.

"Do you mean the boogyman?" Some girl asked

"Yes my brother said that he is hiding under my bed so I should be careful cause he may eat me but I gave him once a sandwich and he didn't eat it so I think he won't eat at all...and I felt bad for him cause he is always hiding down there...so we became really good friends but only in the dark that's why I couldn't bring him with me" I answered cheerfully

"So you play in the dark?" A boy asked

"Yes I do, I love the dark"

"She is a witch!" A girl cried

The teacher punished me by sitting on the nighty chair during recess cause she saw what I did as a mean joke to scare my classmates even though I didn't get what I did wrong but all I knew that this is how my life will always be from that day on.

Now I am 16 I started high school and I am still called to be the scary girl even though I no longer use the boogyman as my imaginary friend anymore cause I already made real ones they are not the most popular or smart girls in school but they have a heart of gold Macy and Joline they never asked me to change who I am but unlike most friends in our age there character wasn't a reflecting mirror to mine

Cause now I am the creepy goth who is wearing it all black, have cutting marks on my arms, black lipstick and always late for class just like today I am so late I needed to run to class that's when I bumped into Alex my nemesis since my first day in kindergarten he is always trying to make my life complete darkness but what he doesn't know is that I was born for darkness and it is where I belong

And he usually call me...

"Hey ghoul girl" he said stopping me

"What do you want Alex?" I asked so annoyed knowing that now I will be more late then I was going to be

"You" He said smirking

"Aren't you the famous jock why don't you get yourself some Barbie doll who is a cheer leader?"

"Ohhhh... playing hard to get? I like it" he said coming even closer to me

"Oh I play hard to get with the guys hard to want" I said roasting

"I will act as if I didn't get that, so movies maybe a horror one will be relaxing to you? You available?" He asked sarcastically

"Oh I am valuable not available sorry not sorry" I said and ran down the hall again.

I am now more late then ever Mrs. Madison is surely killing me

"Miss Damian you are late... again!" She said sharply

"Something came up" I answered coldly

"Like everyday since the first day... I don't know why can't you be like your older brother Jeff he was an amazing student"

I just kept rolling my eyes feeling like that I do rather be the late mischief student then be a big bad wolf.

"Pssst... what stopped you this time?"Jolien asked

"A battle with the enemies" I answered refering to Alex

"Your archenemie or his soldiers?!" Macy asked refering to the football team and the cheerleadrs

"The one and only" I answered shaking my head

"How did it go?" Jolien asked

"Postponing the Cold War to another hallway meeting"

"You go girl!" Macy praised me

That's when Mrs. Madison interrupted us

"Girls!...why don't one of you get up and answer this question?...how about you miss Damian?"

"What was the relationship between the USA and the USSR after world war ll?"

I didn't know what to say so I just ended up with "a cold war occurred which caused a lot of negative effects" I tried to say it in the most confident and smart voice

"Wow...miss Damian I am actually impressed... you answered correctly" Mrs. Madison said with shocked eyes

As I sat down me and the girls couldn't stop laughing cause somehow we learned in the school's hallway more then it's classes.

I usually after long day at school I go to hang out with the girls in one of our houses.

This time we went to Macy's place with her messy rooms so full of things I only see in the schools chemistry lab... Macy is nerd girl with perfect grads always unlike Jolien and I.

If I compare between them both Macy would be the angle on my shoulder

But the thing that I don't like about both of them is that there heads are in the clouds, always day dreaming about there romantic life...the romance that they never tried yet they talk like experienced girls in love stories.

"oh God why are we all single ,girls? I mean we are not that ugly, are we?"Macy asked desperately for answer

"Maybe because we got good competition against us those barbie face cheerleaders!" Jolien said in rage

"Why do you even care? What if we don't find "true love" you all know that “the one” will come when he want…don't try too hard and maybe focus on other important things like…em I don't know, maybe your LIFE!" I said feeling like I fed up of this everyday's conversation

"Here we go again" both of them said rolling there eyes

"What?!"I asked

"As usual you deny it sapphire...love won't knock your door it's the magic you ran after" Jolien answered

"And it's amazing too" Macy commented

"Okay lost Disney Princesses I will leave both of you alone so you can day dream about your shining armour and your prince charming as much as you girls want" I said heading to the door.

"Where are you going evil queen?" Jolien laughed

"The No Leaf Forest... I need some alone time and you know it's impossible to find in my place" I answered heading out "see you later girls" I said closing the door behind me.

The no leaf forest was a small forest that had a lot of trees but rarely I see any of them got a leaf on its branches.

No one comes here especially in the night time cause they find it so scary with the darkness, silence in the air and few bats flying around.

I always felt like this place is the best place to find a massive castle and inside lived lonly Dracula still waiting to find someone to drink there's blood for supper. That's why it's literally only mine to walk in to sit comfortably to doodle or sing or just talk to the flying bats when I am sad in a hope they understand me.

What is wrong with them? Can't they see that they are not living in a fairytale?

"Just because the people made up thousands of stories or millions of love songs it made them brain washed"

"And I am so crazy that I am talking to myself!"

That's when a bat screamed as if it's laughing.

"Thank you for listening to all this useless shit, little one" I said to the bat with disappointment

That's when suddenly I heard a branch break

"Who is there?! Is there is anyone here"

I heard few laughter as an answer that brought chilles to my entire body.

"Why don't you come out to face me and not hide like a coward?!" I shouted

No one responded but a shadow of someone was seen in the moon light who is hiding behind a tree.

"I see your shadow...now come out it won't make a difference"

And slowly a guy wearing a ripped jeans purple bandana tied to cover his mouth and nose and a hodie on the head that looked nothing different then the mystery guy in an action TV shows.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING COWERED?!" The guy shouted in a strange accent.

" I am calling you, no one spy at people like this"I answered confidentially even though I feard him in the end he doesn't look like a good person.

"Me? Cowered? Ha! Said the girl who is now with shaking feet "he answered and found him standing really close to me as if he never heard of the word "personal space"

I felt betrayed by my friend the moon who exposed my weakness and fear.

"Who are you anyway? And why were you laughing?" I asked him and looked closely to have a better look.

And suddenly I was lost... I don't know what happened just when my eyes meet his green one I forgot what was I doing

"I was laughing at you adorable one who is having a therapy session with a bat" he laughed

"I-I am no one!" He continued with a shaking confused voice as if he doesn't know what was really the answer as he stepped few steps away

"Ha very funny, I was going to say the same thing about you!" I laughed

Then suddenly in the blink of an eye the guy held me from the neck and pushed me back to a tree

"Is there is someone else here with you?!" He asked

"No only me and you, you now get your hands of me!" I responded.

"Ok since I am NOT a bad person NOR a Cowered I will let you go... but you didn't see me, I.WAS.NOT.HERE...clear?" He said tightening his grab on my neck

"Okay fine, just let me go...y-you are hurting me!" I said feeling pain in my neck

"Oh sorry, I-I didn't mean to... I am usually not that aggressive" the mysterious guy remaked freeing his grab and looking down at his hands.

"Now go before I change my mind" he warned bringing back the serious look to life.

I took my backpack and run out of the forest looking back to have a last glance at those eyes that got me lost.

That night I couldn't sleep I was thinking about the mysterious guy in the no leaf forest; there was something about him I couldn't understand that got me to lose all the logical thinking that I usually do.

He was a stranger yet I talked with him, he looked sus yet I asked him who he was, and most importantly he seemed and was dangerous than from where I got the nerve to make fun of him, call him names, and get him angry?

So many questions yet no answer.

"a mysterious HOT guy?!" Jolien asked with excitement the next day in the launch break.

"And in the forest you say?! O.M.G that's so romantic" Macy added placing her hands on her heart.

They both were excited to hear the details.

"Girls I am telling you a creepy guy was spying on me and grabed me from the neck, not kiss me on the lip and take me on a picnic!" I said explained in a hope to get them out of snow White's fairytale cause in only 3 seconds if they don't shut up I will shove a poisoned apple each down their throats!

"Still tell us who was he?"Jolien asked

"Believe me if I knew I would have found where he lives and kill him and his family!"

"Oh the ghoul girl is dangerous" I heard a guy said sarcastically it was Alex

"What do you want Alex?!" I asked feeling like the last person I would like to talk to was him.

"Are you sure he wasn't an old friend?" Alex asked

"An old friend you say?" I asked confusingly

"Yeah, maybe he was boogy trying to reconnect with you... and who knows maybe he will take you to live with him under the bed, where you belong" Alex said smirking cause he knew so well that remembering this stuff always opens scares in my heart.

So I said angrily"Oh you! Come here so I can-"

" can what? Kiss me? I have no problem but if I were you I would save it to boogy" alex interpreted me while taking few steps closer.

I would have beaten his face but I just felt so broken why every time I feel strong someone come to reminds me of how weak I am actually.

After school the girls returned home with me to do "homework" and by homework of course I mean reading fashion magazines, and listening to music.

And while we were sitting someone opened the door without even knocking.

"Hey little squirrel, how was school?" The big bad wolf said while playing with my hair and messing it all up.

"What do you want B.B.W (big bad wolf) ever heard of privacy?!"

"No, not really why though?" My brother said playfully knowing that he is getting on my nerves

"Anyway what do you want?" I asked

"I just came in to check on my little squirrelly sis and her friends" he said as if suddenly he cared about me.

"Oh we are fine thank you" jolien said with her usual bright smile

"GET OUT" I shouted to my brother in a hope he understand English

"Okay I am going I just thought you might want to hear the big news" he said as he was going slowly to the door

Sneaky wolf he knew I couldn't say no cause somehow even in the boring numb town he always come with exciting news.

"What is it?" I said turning to him

"New family moved in the neighborhood" he said with a smirk

"And since when I would care about neighbors you idiot?" I said rolling my eyes

"You would care about this one cause you know why?" He said slowly as if he is giving away a dark secret

"Ha why?" I said laughing sarcastically getting back to my magazine

"Cause the new neighbors moved to the hunted mansion!" He said

That's when the three of us looked at him with shooked eyes and opened mouths like the monkey emojis 🙈🙉🙊

"The up the hill mansion?!" Jolien asked with excitement

"The mansion that no one got near to?...well almost no one" macy said looking to me

Cause they all knew that I went there a couple of times in a hope to find something interesting like ghosts, bats or anything but sadly nothing only dust covered with dust with a layer of dust...did I mention dust?

"Anyway mom said that the people who live there now are so creepy and maybe dangerous so she is asking you to stay away from trouble" the B.B.W said and left my room.

Then the girls turned to me and said in one voice "could it be the hot guy you met last night?"

"How am I supposed to know?" I asked

"Go talk to him!" Jolien said

"Are you crazy? I am not meeting this freak again"

"Come on sapphire...for us?"

To be frank I felt Curious to know more about him.

So I said I will go to the no leaf forest

"Wait sapphire didn't your mom say to stay out of trouble?" Macy asked

"I am the gothest, craziest girl in the town... you know I am always in trouble" I said winking and going down the stars with them coming behind me.

"Where are you girls going?"

"Coming with you girl!" Jolien answered

"Um... actually can I just- maybe go home?" Macy asked with her low scared voice

"Come on coward cat!" Jolien said to macy

"Hey hey hey...if she doesn't want to come then it's okay" I said feeling bad for poor macy who is always pressured by me and Jolien a lot

"We will tell you what we found" I said smiling as we gave each other a group hug and macy walked a path while we took the other.

So many questions yet will find answers... hopefully.
