Chapter 1

In Brilliance City, In the misty forest there was a young man training and an old man who drink his wine while watching.

“Paul Andrei stop training and lets go home its almost time for your work and don’t let that little lass worry.” The old man said while drinking his wine. Paul Andrei stop training and change his clothe to a new one.

Paul Andrei is a 13 years old and very handsome guy with red hair and scarlet eye. He was a quiet person if not for his handsome face he would likely ignore by his classmates and also because of this that he was very hated by some boys because many girls attracted to his face.

“Master do I have enough money to buy the elixir to heal Sophia” Paul Andrei ask. Sophia is Paul Andrei little sister. Sophia is 8 year old girl and a very beautiful girl with her deep blue eye and azure hair. 2 years ago their parent die without any reason and even after 7 months of investigation the authority found nothing about what happen.

Since then Paul Andrei and Sophia is living under their master even though he was a drunkard but he was kind for both of them and teach them cultivation technique in order to survive but 2 months after living under his care he discover that Sophia and Paul Andrei had special physique after reading some ancient book it he found out that Sophia had Absolute Ice Physique and Paul Andrei had Primordial Fire Physique both are very special and powerful physique but there is a downside that is every 3 days they both feel cold and hot that is unbearable that’s is why Paul Andrei saving money to buy a elixir that the old man tell him.

“No, its still not enough but don’t worry I contact a friend of mine to help us acquire the elixir to solve your problem.” The old man said.

After that they both return home. After they return home and said goodbye to Sophia and the old man Paul Andrei then wear a mask then go to Adventure Guild to take some mission so that he can earn money at the same time he can accumulate some experience.

Paul Andrei then decide to choose his mission in bulletin board when one of the adventurer walk towards him.

Adventurer divide into S, A, B, C, D, E, F, and G and the lowest is G rank. Currently Paul Andrei is an F rank adventurer.

The adventurer walking toward Paul Andrei is also an F rank one. Simon is his name and he is one of the rising star adventurer in Brilliance City.

“My friend ‘Python’ can we have a small chat” Simon said with a smile.

“No, I’m busy. ” Paul Andrei said.

“Ok, Sorry for disturbing you” Simon said with apologetic expression then he walk with his party.

After some time Paul Andrei decide to 3 hunt horn rabbit which is rank F mission. After he talk with receptionist about his mission he then exit the Adventure Guild.

“Simon, when will we teach that bastard a lesson?” a young man said.

“Right now. Dare to be arrogant in front of me you will pay the price” Simon said coldly.

It take him half an hour to find and hunt the horn rabbit, When he preparing to go back to the city Paul Andrei see Simon give out killing intent. Of course Simon was not the only one who arrive he bring his party with him.

Knowing the situation Paul Andrei attack Simon without second thought. Paul Andrei already at half a meter close to Simon then Simon then draw his sword and attempt to slash Paul Andrei but Paul Andrei was so fast that he miss and Paul Andrei punch his chest and Paul Andrei fist is flaming sending Simon flying without giving Simon to think Paul Andrei draw his dagger then close his distance between him and when Paul Andrei close enough that he able to cut Simon throat causing Simon to die.

It happen so fast that Simon companion didn’t have any time to react and Paul Andrei using this period of time to run back in the city and then report them. 3 months ago there someone who report that an adventurer trying to kill another adventure to for unknown reason and the culprit had been caught since then the Adventure Guild let all adventurer no matter what rank he or she have to wear a badge. This badge is an artifact that the Adventurer Guild commission to Blacksmith Association to make in order to prevent the accident to occur. The badge had only one function is that is to record . Since its new policy many adventurer not know this artifact and Simon and his party is one of the fellow who didn’t know. Thanks to the artifact Paul Andrei can report to the authority without problem

The problem right now whether he can go to the city or will he run out of energy. Paul Andrei cultivation realm is low and killing Simon did cost him quite a lot of energy and his stamina.

Paul Andrei also took another badge the same size as the other one but this badge had function that is too make noise as loud as possible which is a double edge sword. He indeed can manage to attract attention to help him but he also let his enemy where his location because of sound. That’s why even knowing the con he didn’t care because his location and the city is not far and even though it starting to dark this is also where many adventurer returning so Paul Andrei chance of getting help is higher.

Paul Andrei didn’t wait long enough an D rank adventurer heard the sound and investigate and saw Paul Andrei running and his back is Simon party that giving out a killing intent knowing this he called his party and the other to help Paul Andrei.

With their help Paul Andrei manage to escape and Simon party who only F rank didn’t last long enough against a party of 7 consist of D rank adventurer. The D rank adventurer arrest Simon party and hand it over to the authority and with Paul Andrei badge that record what happen there’s no doubt that Simon Party will remain in the Prison for quite some time after that Paul Andrei then give thanks to adventurer that help him then return home

After returning home he saw Sophia which already sleeping waiting for him in the living room with no choice he carry her toward her room and let her sleep comfortable he then eat his dinner then told to the old man what happen and knowing what happen old man decide to teach some movement technique to Paul Andrei next Saturday. The next morning Paul Andrei and Sophia go to Brilliance Academy. After arriving to the school gate both Sophia and Paul Andrei. Paul Andrei meet his two best friend that is Kylle Castañeda and Kurt Dulatre.

Kylle Castañeda is a 13 years old handsome guy if not for the fact that he is fat their would be many girls try to attract his attention. His parents renowned for being great chef in the empire if not for the fact that his parent like peace and quite environment Kylle would be live in capital. His parent own the restaurant called The Hive Restaurant.

Kurt Dulatre is also a 13 year old handsome guy only second to Paul Andrei. His family is a very rich and his father is the president of The Bleeding potion Company that is very renowned for their high quality potion and pills in the empire.

“Paul did you do your homework?” Kurt asked.

“Of course, how about you?” Paul Andrei said while sitting on his chair waiting for the teacher to start the class.

“Yeah done this time I don’t need to copy from you” Kurt said

“By the way is any of you know of the upcoming competition in the school?” Kylle asked.

“No” Paul Andrei said.

“How did you know that Kylle? My father know it when he and the principal had a small talk that’s why my father order me to be in top 20 if not he will going to force me to do a hellish training for whole month.” Kurt said helplessly.

“I heard it yesterday night when a two teacher of the school gossip while eating. Its seems that this year competition is much harder compare last year.” Kylle said

“The teacher is already here!” one of the students said then all of them seat with there own designated chair.

“Good Morning class today I had a very Important announcement.” Mr. Mark said.

Mr. Mark is a very strict teacher that’s why all students called him ’Demon’.

“What is it Teacher?” Ralph ask.

Ralph is a very handsome young man with blue eyes and blonde hair.Ralph is a young master of influential family in Brilliance City. He was the class leader. Even though he was not handsome he had charm that attract girls toward him. He also one of the talented person in younger generation some even said that he attract attention of the no.1 academy in the empire.

“Next Month September 10 is the Beast Hunting Competition that happen yearly but this year the Saint Academy and other academy is also going to join which is the order of the city lord. ” Mr. Mark said calmly.

“What?!” everyone exclaim.

Saint Academy is a famous academy that on par with Brilliance Academy. Saint Academy isn’t its original name but it change when an amazing alchemist that solely making medicine pills and potion that giving title saint became famous throughout the continent anyone who like to get healed will find him. He was a kind person it said that he travel throughout the continent helping those in needed and he also helping those poor or orphan and because of that many organization had become his enemy but no one dare to kill him not because the afraid of public opinion instead because some of the people he help become powerhouse and they can do nothing with it. Its legend that circulate for 200 years.

“Look like you had to prepare for your hellish training Kurt ahaha” Paul Andrei said while laughing.

“WHY!” Kurt said with despair.

Brilliance Academy 3 grade level and Paul Andrei and his friend is in their 1st grade and every grade divide into A, B, C, D, and E class compose of 30 students each class and A class are the cream of the crop and Paul Andrei and his friend are in B Class. This system also apply with Saint Academy and other academy.

The Beast Hunting Competition only allowed 60 students each academy and Brilliance City had 3 Academy which is total 180 competitors and Kurt father want him to achieve top 20. Even though Kurt is a talented person he was a lazy person and only focus on creating his own company without his father knowing and when he was found out that he develop his own company and its business is blooming his father and mother is happy and that’s why his father and mother invite Paul Andrei and Kylle to attend the party to celebrate Kurt talent and his business.That time there all influential people and Kurt’s parent friend attend in party and when they know Kurt little secret all of them is shock. Kurt put much focus in his business that’s why he rarely cultivate. Even though Kurt father happy on how talented his son in business is but he know that only having powerful cultivation allow him to be safe after all there having powerful strength mean that there would be no one dare to attack you without 100% certainty. This also apply to Ralph and Kylle the reason why Ralph only at class 2 and not on class 1 is because he so focus on his artifact refining that rarely to cultivate as for Kylle he focus on cooking and helping his parent restaurant that he also rarely cultivate. As for Paul Andrei he was only hiding his strength because the old man said that if he show his talent to early not only will he targeted by some narrow minded person he will also attract his parent killer.

Chapter 2

“Now lets start our class” Mr. Mark said

“Ralph now tell me what is the last lesson we discuss last week.” Mr. Mark ask.

“Its was cultivation realm sir” Ralph replied

“Good now Kurt what is the realm that we talked?” Mr. Mark ask

“Umm… Its Body Building Realm, Rainbow Realm, Foundation Realm, Then we split the cultivation into two broad paths that is knight and mage.” Kurt replied

“Good. Now let’s talk about that two broad path. Let’s first talk about Foundation Realm, This realm is where the most important thing because this time will you choose which path you’re going to walk. The path of knight are mostly for those who fight in close combat and as for mage are mostly fight for long distance. I said ‘mostly’ because there are who walk the path of knight that can fight long distance and mage that can fight close distance.” Mr. Mark slowly said.

“Sir if what you said is true then why would we choose path?” a student ask

“Because even though a knight can fight long distance he had to be an archer and as for mage that fight in close combat that is because they had low range spell or that their mental energy isn’t strong enough, or maybe they prefer to fight in close combat” Mr. Mark said

“Now I’m going to talk about both knight and mage realms. As for Knight realm is Apprentice Knight, Standard Knight, Genuine Knight, Earth Knight, Heavenly Knight, and lastly Divine Knight. As for Mage Realm is Mage Assistance, Magical Students, Genuine Mage, Grand Mage, Heavenly Mage, and lastly Divine Mage. Each Realm is further divide in 10 star.”

“The path I walk is Knight and the realm I’m currently is Standard Knight 8 star” Mr. Mark slowly added.

“Divine Mage and Knight is not the peak of cultivation in ancient text book its stated that there was still 1 realm that much stronger than Divine Mage and Knight and that is Saint Realm its said that in this realm there no distinction between the two path but to this day no one know if this was true.”

“The difference between knight and mage is that the energy we absorb are use differently. That knight cultivator who enhance their bodies using spirit energy, allowing them to possess incredible strength, defense, and agility. However, their weakness lies in their limited range. Of course that is not including the archer. As for Mage users who emit spirit energy to the outside world allowing them to bend their surroundings to their will, possessing unfathomable powers. However, their weakness is that they must supplement their own spirit energy with spirit energy from the outside world, to exert spirit energy into their surroundings in the form of spells. In simpler term is that mage need to use their spirit energy to control the environment spirit energy. This is quite tasking task That’s why in fight between Apprentice Knight and Mage Assistance the knight usually wins of course in later stage they become equal and their time might even stronger than the knight” Mr. Mark said slowly but the impact in the class is huge.

“So that’s mean that Mage is the best choice sir?” a girl ask.

“There was no best choice after all both knight and mage had their own pros and cons. Also, it’s still too early for you to think about either becoming a knight or mage. ” Mr. Mark said.

“Now let’s talk about Body Building Realm which is the first stage and also this is also your cultivation realm. The Building Realm is divide in lower middle and upper stage and further divide by 10 stars. Most of you are in lower realm and only handful of you manage to reach middle realm. ”

“Body Building Realm are indication that us cultivator is different from mortal and the starting point is rebuilding our body. The lower stage means that we increase our strength, and we are much stronger than mortal, The middle stage means that we are strengthened our vital organs a lastly The upper stage means we strengthen our bones and only those who step Body Building Realm Upper stage can they officially declare that they step on path of cultivator.” Mr. Mark said

“Now we will talking about elements. As you all know all people had an elements, but it’s still undecided until you reach Foundation Realm, also less known name Element Awakening Realm. ”

“The moment we were born all of us except for those who had elemental type physique had a pure elemental type, it's called pure because it’s so pure that we cannot detect any other element to it. As we grow older the pure element become contaminate by the element in our environment and genes and this is also the deciding factor of our element but by cultivating some technique we can erase the contaminate element that we acquire as we grow. The reason is that some people who follow the path of weapon for example Swordsman, Spearman etc. need pure elemental energy to cultivate. It isn’t necessary, but it still helpful that because having pure elemental type energy mean it easy to control and transform. Example a swordsman in a specific realm they can transform their pure elemental type into sword spirit energy this mean they can official become swordsman as for mage, 10,000 years ago there is a genius that try to make his elemental type to become pure with the pure elemental type characteristic he become the very first ‘Elemental Mage’. Elemental Mage are mages that can control multiple type of elements but becoming Elemental Mage is very hard that out of 1000 mages only 1 manage to become Elemental Mage. ” Mr. Mark said

“So sir that mean that in path of mages the Elemental Mage stand in apex?” Annie Ask.

Annie is one of the four flower of Brilliance Academy she had beautiful brown hair and eye. Annie just like Ralph is born in influential family she is the 3rd child. Annie and Ralph are rivals since they were young and everyone thinks that both of them are equal of course both of them trying to surpass each other.

“Yes but that doesn’t mean that elemental mage is invincible in mage path.” Mr. Mark reply.

“Now let’s talk about the knight and mage path branches. Let’s first talk about knight, knight have 4 branches that are warrior, tanker, archer and knight, As for mage have 4 branches that are summoner, elemental mage, battle mage and the wizard.”

“Warrior are those who specialize in weapons just like sword etc., Tanker are those who specialize in defense and usually had very strong body, Archer were those whose specialize in crossbow and a bow and The knight the most balance out of the 4 branches.”

“Summoner who summon a monster from the beast realm, Elemental Mage just like I said before specialize in multiple element and the most versatile branch from either knight path or mage path, battle mage are mage whose battle in close combat and the wizard specialize in long range magic.” Mr. Mark said.

Mr. Mark then talk about his lesson until it close to 12 noon. When the class is over Paul Andrei and his friends talk about beast hunting competition.

“Kurt what’s your plan now?” Kylle ask seriously.

“I cancel all my plan this week and try to cultivate seriously” Kurt said helplessly.

“What about you Kylle are you going to cultivate or train your cooking skills?” Paul Andrei ask.

“Umm… I’m originally planning to train my cooking skill and also try some recipe that I saw last night but seeing that Kurt had a hard time I’m going to cultivate in order to help Kurt, What about you Paul Andrei? ” Kylle said.

“I’m going to train of course it just so happen that I’m practicing my movement technique” Paul Andrei said.

“Kylle are you serious about what you say?” Kurt ask.

“Of course, and I’m sure Paul Andrei will also help, right?” Kylle said.

“Of course. Kurt and Kylle why not train together?” Paul Andrei said.

“That’s a good idea I’m going to contact my secretary to arrange a training room for us” Kurt said excitedly.

Both Paul Andrei and Kylle smile and said nothing. Seeing the hopeful look of Kurt both of them feel helpless. Both of them know that Kurt had little interest in cultivating and the reason why he didn’t stop cultivating is that he knows without power his business will have hard time in the future.

“Let’s meet at my house after lunch.” Kurt said.

“Okay” both Paul Andrei and Kylle said.

“I’m going to go to meet Sophia to eat lunch, bye.” Paul Andrei said.

“Okay. See you later” Kurt said

Currently, Sophia is waiting near in the academy gate to wait for Paul Andrei. For some time a man walk towards Sophia and it's not Paul Andrei but Leo. Leo's appearance is above average with his yellow eye and black hair. He was a young master of influential family but compare to Annie and Ralph background he was nothing. Every single day he constantly bothers Sophia about lunching together and always rejected.

“Leo can you stop bothering me” Sophia said coldly.

“I stop bothering you if you and I have lunch just once” Leo said with smile.

Sophia ignore Leo and continue waiting for Paul Andrei. Even after Sophia ignore Leo, he still continues to bother her. About 3 minutes after Sophia stop talking to Leo, Paul Andrei arrive.

Sensing his arrival Sophia smile and greet Paul Andrei.

“Where shall we have our lunch big brother?” Sophia asks with a smile.

“We will have our lunch at Kylle’s Restaurant” Paul Andrei said.

“Is this boy is your friend Sophia?” Paul Andrei ask.

“No. This is the person I talked about you last time that constantly bothers me” Sophia said frustratingly.

“Oh! So he is the one bothering you” Paul Andrei said.

“Stop bothering my sister if not I beat your ass” Paul Andrei said coldly.

“Okay” Leo said hurriedly then run far away from Paul Andrei after sensing his killing intent.

“Just you wait” Leo said grudgingly.

After Leo left both Sophia and Paul Andrei then walk to Hive Restaurant. After they arrive to the restaurant they order a meal then began to talk about something to kill some time.

“Paul, how was your day” Kylle’s mother said with smile.

“It’s okay auntie. Oh! By the way auntie me and Kylle will go to Kurt House to Train is it okay?” Paul Andrei said with a smile.

“Of course even if you not tell us we will let him cultivate this week since its waste of his talent if he just focuses cooking” Kylle’s mother said.

“Oh! By the way what time does the three of you train” Kylle’s mother ask.

“After we had our lunch. Is Kylle haven’t return yet auntie?” Paul Andrei ask.

“Not yet. He should be at market trying to do the recipe we give him” Kylle’s mother said helplessly.

After Sophia and Paul Andrei eat they return home.

Chapter 3

Meanwhile, Kurt and Kylle are still in the school and planning to go home to get some lunch when they saw some people gathering near in the room of A class.

“Why are all people gathered here?” Kurt asks his schoolmate.

"There was new student in the A class and this student is a very beautiful girl that her beauty rival of that to our school 4 flowers." the person said excitedly.

"Oh, do you somehow know the name of this girl and her background?" Kylle ask with a smile.

"I only know her name is Amabelle Gonzales." the person said.

"Kurt let us see what kind of beauty is this girl is" Kylle said.

"I don't see any problem with that" Kurt reply.

Then they waited to see the girl that cause this trouble. After some time they saw her leave the room then amaze with her beauty.

"Kurt I think I fall in love" Kylle said while smiling stupidly.

"To think our academy recruit such beauty, I thought she might join in the Flower Academy" Kurt said.

Flower Academy is one of the 3 academy in Brilliance City. The reason why its rank the last out of the 3 academy is because they only accept female student and teacher and refuse any male applicants. The reason is that the founder of the academy is a victim of domestic abuse even though she was rescue and because of this incident she was very afraid of any man and that's why in order to recover she created the Flower Academy in hopes that she slowly forget the accident. Even though the Flower Academy only accept female their strength cannot be underestimated, even though they lack of quantity they make up for quality.

After Paul Andrei send Sophia home he suddenly remembers that he forget to bring home one of his book that's why he quickly went back to school.

After getting back his book when he saw both Kurt and Kylle staring at horizon.

"Hey what are staring at?" Paul Andrei ask in confusion.

"Hey! Kylle what the problem?" Paul Andrei asks noticing Kylle still in daze.

"Paul I think I'm in love" Kylle said.

"What happen?" Paul Andrei asks Kurt.

"We see the new student of the A class and let me tell you her beauty is par with our school 4 flowers" Kurt said excitedly.

"Oh so that's happen" Paul Andrei said knowingly.

"AH!" Kylle suddenly shout that surprise both Paul Andrei and Kurt.

"What's the problem?!" Kurt suddenly said.

"She was a new student of A class right?" Kylle ask.

"Yeah, so?" Kurt reply.

"Then it's mean that there are totals of 31 students of A class." Kylle said.

It was then did Kurt realize the problem. Every academy can only send 60 participant this year Beast Hunting Competition so that's mean that one of the student in B class isn't going to participate. Kurt plans to ask Paul Andrei and Kylle to help him to his father order now there was a high chance that one of them can't participate means that there would be a lot of problems if that happen.

"Actually there is still 30 students in A class because the vice president of their is chosen one of the capital academy" Paul Andrei said.

"Lets go we still had to practice" Paul Andrei said.

The three of them then exit the school and went to Kurt house, more specific his training room. The training room that Kurt using had an array that can increase gravity with this they can improve in the least amount of time.

"By the way I meet Carl yesterday, and he said that next week there would be an auction and one of the item that will auction is the elixir." Kurt said.

"Really?!" Paul Andrei said excitedly.

"Kurt I need an invitation" Paul Andrei said seriously.

"Of course" Kurt said.

The elixir is very helpful for Sophia, and Sophia only think that she needs the elixir because of her special physique but little did he know that was a lie that both Paul Andrei and the old man come up. The real reason why she needs the elixir because she was poisoned.

1 week after their parent declare death is that one of the food they buy is poison by the mastermind behind their parents tragedy. They plan to wipe out their family if it not for the old man Sophia and Paul Andrei probably death by now. Even though the old man manage to preserve Sophia life, but he can't completely remove the poison because its one of the dangerous poison in the world and it's called Devil Blood. It's colorless and odorless the reason why it's called Devil Blood is that in order to make this poison aside from the poisonous herbs is that one must sacrifice 1000+ people and summon a demon in the underworld and asks for its blood essence.

In order to fully cure Sophia only the elixir can help her, but the elixir is both expensive and rare. Thanks to Kurt suggestion about being one of the shareholders of his company, Paul Andrei is considered rich but of course in order to not stand out too much, the money he had divide in different account.

Kylle and Carl are also shareholders of Kurt's company. The 4 of them had a long term plan and that is Kurt is the one who manage the company and Kylle will advertise the company in his restaurant and Paul Andrei and Carl is the one responsible for finding investor through out the empire. In order for Paul Andrei and Carl to find investor they become an adventurer and get some fame. Paul Andrei and Carl use nickname instead of their real name in order to avoid disturbing their life and also for safety of their family because Paul Andrei is already a target of a large organization when they planning but of course the organization that hunt them are already destroy thanks to the organization dark history.This plan form after Kurt publicize his company.

Carl is a friend of Paul Andrei and unlike Kurt and Kylle, he was a students of Saint Academy and he belong to A class. He was same age as Paul Andrei and others and he was one of the handsome boy and talented person in the Saint Academy.

"I will increase the gravity by 5x than normal so be ready" Kurt said.

"Okay" Both Paul Andrei and Kylle reply.

When the gravity increase they felt pressure and their bone grinding each other. Their heart beat also increase in order to keep their blood pumping around their body. Without using their spirit energy its very hard to move.

When they use their spirit energy they feel the pressure lessen, and they can now move but its still very hard.

After excruciating 10 minutes they finally can move normally without using spirit energy. After some basics exercise they begone to practice their own technique.

Currently, Paul Andrei planning to master the technique called flash step. This technique is very common and almost all cultivators know this, but the old man told him that there was hidden technique hidden in flash step. After the old man give him some pointers he then grasps some key points in the technique and currently with the help of 5x gravity environment he hopes that his control over this technique is good.

He close his eye in order to focus then guide his spirit energy in his feet then after concentrating his spirit energy then he open his eye then start using this technique.

When he moves forward he travels around 15 meters in an instant unlike the normal flash step that can only make you travel around 2-5 meters depend on mastery.

After practicing around an hour, Paul Andrei can now travel 20 meters in an instant of course continuously using this technique can easily deplete your spirit energy but its still a life-saving technique.

While Paul Andrei practicing his newly evolve flash step both Kurt and Kylle aren't idle either, both of them are sparing in order to increase their combat experience.

After some 10 minutes both Kurt and Kylle exhausted their spirit energy and now drinking a potion called stamina replenishing potion. This potion replenishes user stamina after half a minute.

Paul Andrei and Kurt then began their spar, both of them using wooden sword because both of them want to become swordsman that's why both of them using sword technique to enhance each other skills of course the technique they use is very basic that every aspiring swordsman would learn.

After some sword exchange both of them back off. Kurt tries to chop Paul Andrei using his wooden sword, but Paul Andrei manage to parry him then he counterattack by stabbing him causing Kurt send flying of then Kurt flip in order to balance himself and prepare to defend any moment.

Then both Paul Andrei and Kurt infuse their wooden sword some spirit energy then both send their attack the same time.

Paul Andrei then use evolve version of flash step and arrive right in front of Kurt then Paul Andrei slash diagonally, with no time to react use his sword to guard the sword attack but failed, After Paul Andrei attack he was kick by Kurt then slash him horizontally then Kurt follows up his attack by punching Paul Andrei stomach sending off.
