Let's start with the words that sound alike.

I think the most regularly used is leave and live

So those two up there👆👆 is wrong

Leave - meaning you will go away far from a place

Live - there is present life, you have a life

P. S. If you are going to use the past tense of leave its left..

Spelling is also very important as they can create words with different meanings

one example of a word I always have a hard time spelling is :

Another confusing part in spelling is the -ie or -ei

for receive one thing I like to remember is that all things that end in ceive is ei

Well one thing I like to remember about them is the fact that they create smaller words
There really is no 'one rule' when it comes to spelling
The delivery man delivers to the neighbor, 10 peices of shields, but there was no one to recieve

Tips :
1. Despite the hate against it, it is useful to use autocorrect
2. Read published books, reading materials with the correct spelling, unconsciously ingrains it to your mind (constant exposure)
3. Ask friends to help check your work, even if they may not be fluent, being checked by two people I'd better than one
