My name is Micheal Yeng. I am 19 years old. And I was a high school dropout. My family was one of the top 3 families within Chicago. Well.. It was one of the top 3 families. Not anymore, now it is gone. And so is she.. The only person that mattered to me anymore.. Everything ended for me at that moment she ran away, only muttering a mild paragraph “I’m sorry, I need to get stronger to protect those close to me, I need to get to the peak of the tower.. But don’t worry, I will be back one day, and when I will, I will explain everything, just wait for me.” And so I did, waited for her for 2 years straight, until one day I couldn’t wait anymore, and a letter appeared on my doorstep. “Do you desire Riches? Strength? Or Limitless Power? Whatever it is, the answer is found within the peak of the tower, the tower of hell.”

I never needed any of that. I just needed to know why she went away, and how i can meet her again. You might be wondering, who is this she? Well, she is my childhood sweetheart, or something like that.. We grew up together, ate together, went to the same school together.. Those days where great. But our families both died out, and we were the only survivors, and till this day, we have nothing to live for, and nothing to protect. So why did she go, why...

I just hope I can get to see her again.

Even once before death.

I reconsidered the letter. Maybe the tower she mentioned is related to this note? The peak of the tower... Questions swirled around in my head, but after a few moments, I decided to set off.

The place was included in the letter, and I go there right away, bringing nothing with me.

The location was rather strange, as it led me through many ebony-dark, abandoned alleyways. And the destination put me on guard, it was a small, abandoned garage with graffiti smeared all over it. My eyes widened in fright and I was about to run away but I couldn’t move, I was frozen on the spot. A dark, booming voice echoed across the area. “So it is strength that you desire? To overcome all your opponents? Or is it power, to make your voice be heard throughout the continent?”

A shiver ran down my spine, I managed to give a short reply. “N—No sir! I do not desire power nor strength.. I came here by accident.. You must be mistaken.”

A sigh echoed. “You mustn’t lie to me, this place is not your home town, it is another dimension. The tower of hell chose you, that must mean you have something you truly want, whatever it is, speak.”

There was truly nothing I wanted, nothing at all, the only thing...

“I want to meet her, she said that she was gonna climb this tower, I never want to leave her side, please allow me to see her, to see if she still cares about me.”

A muffled reply came

“I cannot allow that, I do not know the person you are speaking of, but if she said she is here, then you must get stronger. At the peak of the tower, all answers await, and that can only be achieved through strength, and strength only. Once you are in the tower, there is no way out, there will be obstacles that you will have to face, and friends that you will make. However, in the end, it will be your decision, all I can say is.. Goodluck, your first test is still yet to come.”

And with that last sentence, I began to slowly black out, I felt a hand-like figure pull me downwards, with a few last breaths, I fainted.

As I slowly heaved my eyes open, I noticed that I was in a savannah biome, feeble corn surrounded me and the sun shined its rays, enlightening the land. But why? Why was I transported across the world.. For what reason, what have I done? I wondered, slowly standing up. As I stood up, a booming voice rung in my ears.

“Welcome to the first test, let’s see.. There are about 1000 trainee’s in this area, we will need to get this number halved... Anything is allowed, use any methods to get the number down to 500. Oh, have I not introduced myself? My name is... just call me *The Guide*

count me as your guide in this tutorial, as you can see, you have a small gps in your bags, this will help you navigate people, all gear has been removed, so that you cannot have an unfair advantage. To compromise, you receive a trainee crystal, this crystal will help you identify what attribute you are. There are 5 attributes: wind, flame, earth, water, and shadow. Food and Water is not provided, that is something you will gather yourselves. Everything else will be explained in your trainee journal. The number of how many people remain is shown in your gps. When the number decreases to 500 you will all move on to the second test. There are three tests in total, goodluck, faithful trainees.

Questions swerved in my head, my body trembled, but I knew one thing, I have to survive!!

After hearing *The Guide’s* speech, I realised I was in an open area, with no forest in sight but a hill which towered above me.. However I do not have the strength nor the stamina to climb that. After a few moments, I finally decided that the best idea is to check my attribute. I reached into the *Trainee Bag* and to my surprise, it looked nothing like a crystal, it was a smooth stone, with A engraved on it. *The Guide* never gave a detailed tutorial so I never really knew how to use it, however the moment I laid my fingertips on it, I felt immense pain, unimaginable pain that I have never experienced before, it felt as if my life force was being sucked out of my soul. I struggled and struggled for quick breaths, but at last, the pain went away, and the engraved stone’s grey colour slowly faded away and turned obsidian. It slowly but suddenly carved more letters, which read **UNIDENTIFIED.**

....UNIDENTIFIED? Why... Why is it unidentified.. This means I’m stuck without an attribute, right? A low ping could be heard, and another, and another? Could it be the gps? I reached into the bag and pulled it out, surprisingly enough it was made from stainless steel, with a modern fashioned radar which showed all enemies within sight, but something peculiar came up on the screen, as the ping began to get louder and louder, a red dot began to get closer and closer. My heart started racing as the quiet and slow ping, transformed into an array of different pings, I froze, a few moments passed and the red dot came closer and closer until the enemy came into view and my radar froze, I was astonished. An arrow slit their head, and they collapsed. I checked the gps, the amount of enemies remaining, *994,* within a few minutes, the previously quiet and low key Savannah, turned into a battlefield. And what was surprising me the most, was that there where not only humans, but Demi Humans and strange creatures. Many died in front of my very eyes. I was a spoiled child, I never thought that I would see this. All of them have skill, but I... Unidentified? I looked at the number of enemies alive. *957,* how did I get myself into this, I muttered under my breath as I collapsed and fainted.

Shadow : Mainly Debuffs, such as enhancing attack power, hiding in plain sight, enhancing run speed, etc. Many *assassins use the shadow attribute**

Flame: A close ranged attribute which specialises in the use of “fire,” great *swordsmen* are made out of those who use flame. There are many moves that a fire user can make, such as making their sword fire to increase killing intent, and to increase damage.

Wind: A ranged attribute which specialises in the use of air. Many *bowmen* use this attribute, however, you can also use it in many different ways. There are many moves that a wind user can make, such as making the air very shallow, which makes others faint.

Water: A mid ranged attribute which specialises in controlling the seas. Specialises in healing magic. Many *mages* use the water attribute.

Earth: A defensive attribute which allows you to control landscape in your favour. Many *Tanks* use the earth attribute. There are many moves that an earth user can make, such as arising a wall from the ground to protect themselves and their teammates from any incoming danger.*

These are the most simple and basic moves of them all.

“Hello? Are you okay? Don’t tell me I was too late?”

“Where am I.. And who are you?” I muttered..

“My Name is Yukki and I am a villager. What are you doing here? I saw you in the demon forest, all alone, passed out, so I brought you here. What where you doing there all alone.. that place is very dangerous! Luckily you where near the edge of the forest, so I was able to spot you while gathering herbs.”

“The truth is, I don’t know myself, I don’t know how I came into this world and how I can get out, I was supposed to be dead, but now I am here, talking to you, without a single wound on me. I always have questions, questions that cannot be answered.”

“That’s fine, I understand, well honestly I really don’t understand, but I’ll act like I understand for now, you should get some rest for now, oh and are you hungry?”-

“Yes, I will eat anything edible, just give me something to eat, please.”

“Alright, just give me a second”

I should probably check if all my belongings are still with me, I thought, and I looked inside the bag. Everything was still there. Including the gps and the used crystal. However something stood out, it was the gps, it now said “Test 1 Completed” and “Test 2 In Progress”

So this was Test 2? Lying in bed and receiving treatment.. Not too bad. I wonder how I passed Test 1 though. Did no one try to kill me? It also said 500 players, which made me want to scream.. These ruthless people, they really tried to kill each other. Just what is this, what is this place..

Yukki arrived, with.. food, but the food didn’t look edible..

“Here?” Said Yukki. “Our village is not provided with support by the imperial government, so we do not have a lot of resources, however, since you are a special guest, the village elder prepared our special meal.”

I forced a smile, just how poor are these guys, their best food is so unhygienic? Just a mush of vegetables and brown stuff I did not recognise.. I tried it. It tasted as bad as I thought, but I carried on eating and tried to make a good impression of myself.

“Just who is this imperial government? Are they rich”

“The imperial government? They are the owners of this land, they invented the hierarchy. We used to have equality within this land, however, one day, they came, and when they came, they brought chaos with them. The previous owner of this land gave in to their money, and sold us, like we are objects, they picked out random families, and told them that they now own nobility, giving them resources of such sorts, but in the meantime, they picked out families, and made them into commoners. We never knew who they where, but they are rich, and no one dared defy them ever since, common families are split into villages, and noble families are split into cities.. That’s the hierarchy for you.”

“I understand..”

There was nothing else for me to say in return, I was shocked to death, maybe I have time travelled? However, I need to keep strong, keep fighting in this mysterious world even though all I did was stand still, I’m confident that I have a secret to my ability.

This is your first quest/ assignment,

This is also your second test before you can go in the tower of hell.

The tower of hell? Now I remember, this was all the tower of hell’s doing!!

The remaining 500 trainees, will all work together in order to end the Imperial Governments rule, you are to infiltrate into their HQ and obliterate every last one of them. Those who do not respond to this task will be instantly killed. This is an order.
