How pathetic really.. and yes, if I got the chance to rewind time I would do things differently but I guess I won't get that chance ever because I'm already dead aren't I?

"Well.. I'm sure I can prove that even corpses can choose."

I'm pretty sure I died.. But who's that person that's in my mind? 

"The name's Belial, my sweet." 

 Belial? What kind of name is that?

"I do warn you, if you get me irked, even in the slightest.. I won't hesitate to end you." 

Well, I'm already dead so..-

"Oh you're not much of a religious person, are you? I can still kill you by destroying your soul." 

You sound like you're confident, Well if you're telling the truth then how can you do that? Are you god or something? 

"I am confident and no, I'm not a god but let's just say that I am.. since I am the one saving after all."

Ok then, Why would you want to 'save' me? 

"Because I want to and I need something to play with." 

Play with?! What am I? A toy?

"Exactly, You humans are nothing more than entertainment, a lot of you believe that god created you from a strange, deep philosophical meaning but really, he just created you because he needed something to cure his boredom! Haha!" 

You sound psychotic.

"And so are you, dearie. What kind of normally sane person would stab themselves four times?"

"Haha.. seems like I've hit a spot." 

Anyway, what are you gonna do to 'save' me?

"Heh, changing the subject, are we? Well anyway, I will send you to a fantasy world." 

Fantasy world? 

"Yes, farm girl. Since you haven't been on the internet quite often, I might as well explain to you." 

well, that's 'nice' of you. 

"You should feel honored that I'm even wasting my precious, expensive time on you." 

"Anyway, a fantasy world is a rather unbelievable world that has things that bend the laws of physics such as dragons, wizards, and even monsters." 

Monsters?

"Yes, monsters. There are goblins, slimes, demons, and giants. There are more of course but I don't think I can name every insignificant monster out there." 

Ok.. So why?

"So you can change the course of time."

I waited for him to continue talking but he didn't. 

That's it?

"Of course! What? Did you expect for a much bigger reason?" 

No, I was wondering why I have to change the course of time and-

"You ask too many questions, I have to send you there right now since we are running out of time." 

But you haven't told me-

"I have told you everything there is to know so ta-ta!"

WAIT! YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TOLD ME--

As I felt strong gushes of wind surrounds me, In a blink of an eye, I was in the middle of a forest.

That.. annoying.. SON OF A B---

"Whoosh~" 

The wind blew as I looked at the sky. 

I was atop the hill that was next to my house. 

I heard the chirps of the birds, the faint rustling of the trees and felt the nice warmth of the sunlight.

I closed my eyes as I felt the soft wind blow. I felt relaxed as usual. 

"Myria!" My ma called from below the hill. 

I stood up and waved at my grandmother. "Yes, ma?" I replied. 

"C'mon! Lunch is ready!" She smiled brightly just as usual. 

"Ok, ma." I replied shortly and carefully walked down the hill. 

I followed ma to our house and I couldn't help but feel safe, After all that I can finally feel free.

"Myria." 

"Yes?" I jolted. 

Ma chuckled, "You were in deep thought, so I just wanted to remind you that your food is getting cold." 

I smiled and said sorry. I looked at the food I was eating but I didn't have the appetite.

I looked at the window and watched the sunset.

"Myria." I turned and faced ma.

"What got you all boggled up?"

For a solid five seconds, I didn't answer, more like I couldn't.

"I see, Well.. I hope you remember that I'm always here for you." She said warmly.

I nodded and looked back at my food.

I heard a few rustling sounds and a sudden thud woke me up. 

I stood up as soon as I can and looked around the room. 

I was in my and my grandmother's bedroom, but I didn't see ma anywhere. 

I went out of the room and saw ma on the floor, I quickly ran to her and started shaking her to wake her up. 

"M-Ma, wake up.."  I couldn't help but stutter because of the fear of losing her too.

After hopelessly trying to wake her up, I accepted the fact that she was gone. 

I stared at her lifeless body for a minute and in a flash.. I started crying.

"Ma.. My does everyone I love keep on dying? Is it because I'm not good enough?!" 

I couldn't think of anything else but why.. WHY!

WHY DOES THIS KEEP ON HAPPENING?! I'M A HUMAN TOO SO GOD! PLEASE JUST TAKE ME IF YOU WANT TO TORTURE ME CAUSE I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!

I can't take it anymore..

I cried softly and before I could even stop myself, I fell asleep.

I yawned and stretched my arms. 

I could feel the warm sunlight on my cheeks. 

I looked around and suddenly saw a corpse in front of me!

"AHHHHHH!" 

WHAT IS THAT! WHY AM I IN THE KITCHEN?! I-IS THAT-- MA!

And suddenly the memories I had last night immediately sank in. 

N-no.. That can't be.. Ma is dead... 

Tears fell from my eyes as I looked at her body.

And.. after that.. I couldn't remember the next thing I did.

But I'm sure I.. killed myself.

I felt a strange cold breeze around me and as I slowly opened my eyes.. I was in the middle of a forest.

"That annoying son of a bitch! He sent me to a forest! What if some sort of monster appeared out of thin air and kills me?!" 

I grumbled as I walked around, Then I suddenly stopped and realized something. 

I'm wearing a dress! No wonder I feel so cold!

I checked the dress in case there wasn't anything else he put in my dress..

And there was! There was a note in the pocket of the dress saying:

'There's a village near you, You can go ahead and go to it.'

He didn't even tell me.. WHERE EXACTLY! All I see are trees! 

This b-!!!

"Who in the world are you?" 

I turned my head and saw.. a kid? 

Who's kid is this? Anyway, what's a kid doing in the middle of a forest? 

(the fact that the mc is also a kid is just..) 

"What are you doing dazing out? Follow me." 

He quickly went and left. 

"Wait for me!"

I followed him deep in the forest and I couldn't help but pant! WE'VE BEEN WALKING FOR HOURS AND I CAN'T EVEN SEE WHERE WE'RE GOING!

"Come on!" 

"Ok! Ok! Just wait for a second, I'm still resting!" 

He just rolled his eyes on me and continued walking. 

W-WHY THIS-- I took a deep breath and looked at the sky and I saw the most beautiful thing in the world!

There were thousands of stars in the sky that glittered the sky and the moon in the middle of it all made it even beautiful..

It was a sight to behold. 

After staring at the sky for a while, The kid was gone!

"H-hey! Come out! It's not funny!" I called out to him but she didn't come.

Oh god, what if his parents sue me because I lost him in the middle of nowhere?!

I immediately ran straight to look for him but I still couldn't see him!

"Cough, cough!" 

Ugh, why is there so much smoke? I can barely see anything!

I just walked and walked until I got out of the big ball of smoke. 

Great! Now all I need to do is...

WHAT IS THAT

It- It's a monster.. It's flying in the sky shooting out flames out of its mouth and.. those people are.. shooting water out of their hands and throwing them to the monster?

I heard countless screams, cries, and shouts but I couldn't help but wonder, What is that thing? 

"Hey!" 

I turned and looked at the person who called me. 

It's the kid!

"What are you doing? Help us!" 

"What? Help?" I was confused. 

Help? I'm not gonna fight that thing! 

"You're a flower mage! Use your magic!" 

Flower mage? I don't even know magic!

"Use your magic! You're a flower mage since you got the flower symbol on your dress!"

 What?- That guy! He put some sort of symbol on my dress that's why I'm stuck in this mess!

Well.. Whatever, I might as well try helping. 

"What do I need to do?"  

"Finally! So just shoot out water on the dragon and it will fly away."

"Just like that?"

"Well it's a baby dragon and it's still weak so.." 

The baby dragon suddenly roared and started shooting out blue fire.

"IT'S LEVELING UP!"

"SO HOW CAN I SHOOT WATER? DO YOU HAVE A BUCKET?"

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? USE YOUR MAGIC" 

"WHAT THE **** IS MAGIC"

"YOU AREN'T A FLOWER MAGE? WELL-- UGH!" 

He took a deep breath and so did I.

"Ok, I'm risking everything I got just for you so try your absolute best ok?"

I nodded and he smiled for the first time.

"Anyway, to shoot out water is to think of a simulation of water shooting out of your mind and try making it out." He explained. 

I didn't think and just did whatever he said and suddenly.. A weird vivid image of a river appeared in my mind.

I felt a cold liquid surrounding me and..

"BAM!"

I opened my eyes to see what was going on and I saw a gush--No a RIVER of water going out of my hand!

The dragon quickly flew away and the people cheered as the dragon drifted away from sight. 

"Phew," I heard the kid sigh in relief. 

I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. 

I was gonna go and help the other people put out the fire until I remembered that I was still shooting out a river of water.

"How do I turn this down?" I asked the kid.

"You just-- Um.. Just put out the fire till you run out of mana." 

"Mana?" 

"DO YOU LIVE UNDER A ROCK?!-- Just go, don't talk to me." 

Uhh.. ok?

I went ahead and helped them put out the fire. 

"Thank you!" A family of three said. 

"You're welcome." I smiled. 

They looked at my hand casually puking out a bucket of water every second.

"Ehehe.." They nervously laughed. 

They noticed that I knew they were scared of me, "No! It's not that, we were just- we just don't see that often." 

"I see.." 

"Well then, goodbye." I bid farewell and helped the others put out the fire. 

As I helped the people I noticed how their houses were quite medieval.. if that's what old means.. Anyway, They were made out of cobblestone and wood and they didn't seem like they use iron here since I haven't seen a decent roof anywhere.

After a while, I managed to put out all the fire and almost all of them came to thank me.

"You're welcome!" I said and smiled.

"Drip, drop" 

I looked at my right hand and saw the water that was coming out of my hand was gone. 

"Oh great! I've run out of water!" 

Then, I felt a bit dizzy and a pain in my stomach popped up and I was on the ground.

I couldn't see a thing, 

"Tsk, tsk." 

That voice..

Belial?

"Yes, it is me, Didn't I tell you not to get in any trouble?" 

You said not to die and you were the one who led me to the village in the first place.

"Right, Well since for insurance purposes, I'll be with you."

Wait really?

"Yes of course. I wouldn't want my 34th human sent here to die for the 34th time?" 

Uh.. Alright then, I'll pretend I didn't hear that.

And, We started our great adventure that even God himself would like to watch!

"Hey, Belial," I called him.

"What?" He asked annoyed.

"Why do you look like a black cat with four horns?"

It's been a day since I was sent to this world and it seemed that I fainted because I used too much mana and I could have died (according to Belial)

"Well my dear, You can't possibly suggest that I show my real form to you lowly humans! And just so you know, Humans would die by the very sight of me!" He said while floating in mid-air.

"So I had to disguise as a spirit." He continued looking proud of how he looks.

A spirit?

"Yes, a spirit! They are some sort of familiars that mages, witches, and wizards use a sort of pet."

I see, So you're my pet now.

"Are you looking for a death wish?"

I immediately kept my mouth and mind shut.

"Wait, how are you still hearing my thoughts even when you aren't in my head?" I asked,

"That's because you are my incarnation now, I have chosen you and only you so do feel honored." 

I see so we are somewhat connected since you sent me to this place.

"Precisely." 

I looked around my 'room' and sat on the bed. 

After fainting, the people couldn't just stand idle with me on the ground so they made a tent for me to sleep in since the remaining empty houses were all broken due to the fire.

The tent was quite cozy despite the fact that it was a last-minute call. They didn't have enough time to make a bed so they whipped up a hay bed for me and a spare wardrobe.

I looked at the wardrobe and noticed that there was a mirror on it.

"You changed my face?" 

"Why, yes. I figured that I should give you this as a gift, to make you feel special, of course."

"Without even asking me?!" 

"Well! I only changed your hair color and your eyes! You should be thankful that I made you even prettier!" 

Whatever I guess it is.. pretty...

I walked closer to the wardrobe and looked at myself, My hair had a mix of pink, white, and grey while my eyes had a bit of silver and pink color. 

I couldn't help but feel... captivated by my reflection's beauty.

"Ooh~ Quite a narcissist, are we?" 

I ignored Belial's remark and kept staring at the mirror.

"She's quite pretty." 

"Hmm.. Well darling, 'She' is you and for your perusal, I didn't change a thing about your face and all, I only changed the colors to my taste. So in other words, you are beautiful before I changed a thing." I felt a strange lump in my throat.

Nobody said that about me other than my mother.. 

"Don't be so dramatic, I was only telling the truth. Anyway earlier, I was a tad bit surprised about your little stunt earlier."

I looked at him confused.

"I thought that you wouldn't even understand what that boy had been talking about and here you are." He continued,

Oh right! Who was that kid? 

"Hm? That kid that you were with? If my knowledge is right, that kid is a child mage." 

A child mage? 

"A child with studying magic at a very young age, most child mages had become A or S rank mages." 

That's quite amazing even if I don't understand a little bit of it.

"That's fine, I'll teach you everything you know." He smiled at me and started his lesson.

Belial's magic lesson!

I sat on my bed and waited for him to start his lesson.

"Well! Alright, Let's start! Please do listen carefully because I will not tell you this again." 

I nodded. 

"Alright, so you do understand what magic is now, right?" He asked and shook my head.

"What? But you did the basic water spell just fine." 

I don't understand 'magic' entirely, I do understand however that they make water. 

"I see.. This will take a while.." He mumbled and I felt a bit embarrassed.

"Nothing I can't handle, Anyway, magic is a type of... particle as we call it.." 

Huh? A particle?

"Exactly! It's a lot like air, You breathe it in to gather magic in your core to create things such as earth, water, wind, fire and other more things. You can also use it to increase your strength and speed to greater heights."

That seems very amazing.

"It is." He said nonchalantly, "Right, As I was saying, magic can do many things but not many people can do it. To use magic you must be able to learn a technique to breathe in magic particles in the air."

And how do you do that?

"But first you must obtain the skill, Magic Perception to see magic particles, It's a necessity to learn magic."

I looked at belial and he smirked at me.

"Well how do I get this skill?" I asked him.

He went closer to me which made me move back but I couldn't get back anymore and I was already on the wall.

He chuckled before speaking, "Don't worry I don't bite~" He said.

He's in a cat form but he's still... scary!

He put his index finger on my forehead and I immediately flinched because of the sudden pain on my head but in a second, the pain went away.

Huh...?

"Hehe~ I apologize for the pain I inflicted but it was necessary for you to obtain Magic Perception." He said and smiled warmly.

I felt.. a weird tingly feeling in my stomach...

It might be.. happiness.

I smiled back at belial and suddenly he looked away.

I looked at him confused.

I wonder what got him to look away...

I was gonna walk towards him and ask him what's wrong buy a strange blue light fell on my nose.

'What is this?'

'Some sort of... particle?'

I immediately realized that it was a magic particle and tried to get it but it won't get off my nose so I tried to get the other particles that were around but I can't seen to touch it.

"You won't be able to touch it." Belial said.

"So how exactly do I 'use' it?" I asked with my eyebrow raised.

"You breathe it in."

It wasn't a metaphor?

I sat on the floor, closed my eyes and calmed down.

I didn't feel any different from before I got the skill but I do feel a slight difference.

I can feel the presence of magic all around us and.. I can see the difference of the magic particles.

The blue one earlier felt a bit cold and slippery, I thought it was Ice but it wasn't really solid and cold enough so I concluded that it was water.

The red one was fire, I know because of the heat it gives.

The green one was obviously earth.

And the gray one was air.

There were other colors such as dark blue, baby blue, silver, white, violet, purple, lavender, crimson, ruby, jade, and black but I didn't really know what it was.

Right, breathe... I took a deep breath a few times but I didn't feel anything.

I took a peek on belial but he quickly covered my eyes with his paws.

"No peeking, remember, breathe in. Try to feel the different magic particles and bring then to you."

What does that mean? Well, whatever. I might as well try.

I held my hands together and relaxed my body and took another breath.

I felt the cold relaxing air particle going through my lungs, The water particle, The burning fire particle and the earth particle.

"Good, now gather them to your abdomen."

I did what he said and gathered the particles to my abdomen, it was quite easy but it was pretty hard holding them together for a long time.

"This is one of the basic techniques of gathering magic, It's not my most recommended technique but we can work with that, I suppose."

I felt a cold sweat on my forehead because it was getting harder to hold it in.

"OK, What now?" I grunted.

"Just like what you did earlier, Imagine wind this time but don't shoot it out unless you want to break this house into pieces."

What does he want me to do? I sighed and just imagined the wind flowing with the waves in the sea..

Ah, memories... the nice sand getting wet because of the waves softly hitting it, The beautiful blazing sun shining and the wind that blows through you as you watch the beautiful horizon...

I felt a strong wind just as it was in my memories and I felt calm.

How nice.

"Well, I'll be... This is better than I thought."

What?

I immediately opened my eyes and I saw all four elements flying around me.
