He kept looking at her, the angel who was crying at her mother's funeral. He himself had killed his father for being too much annoying but what he was grateful for to his father was this sweet angel. That was the difference between them. One cried at her mother's funeral while the other caused his father's funeral. Her goodness pulled him to her and he wanted to taint her, make her like he is, make her evil...
He decided that today was the time to introduce himself to her. She is sixteen already and she lost her mother yesterday. Her father was dead a long time ago anyways. She is the weakest now and this is the right time to clip her wings before she flies away.
He had things more important to do but he just couldn't look away from her face. He didn't like that she was crying. He was the one who should make her cry, not the dead mother. After about an hour, the funeral ended as she started walking towards her one bedroom apartment. No relative of hers decided to take responsibility of her. Nobody cared and in fact, only a few of them cared enough to came. The rest didn't find the time to come. Maybe because the girl and the mother were the poorest among her relatives...
After her father had died, her mother cried for two days straight before she strengthened herself for her daughter. However, she wasn't educated much. She was barely literate, having no skills on which she could depend for their livelihood. So she decided to be a worker in the nearest construction site. Thus, the quality of the education that her daughter was receiving declined severely.
Now, the mother has died because of an accident in the site and now, the daughter has no skills. She has no idea as to how she will take care of herself but she knew that she had to find a way, like her mother. She couldn't give up at all. As she was walking while thinking all these things, she didn't realise that a car was speeding towards her. The car screeched to a halt as she looked up and saw a handsome man in the car. She hurriedly crossed the road and wanted to go ahead, but how could the devil let this opportunity go?
He came out of his car and asked, "Are you alright Miss ...?"
The girl smiled for the first time on that day and nodded, "Angel, my name is Angel. Yes I'm alright. Thank you for asking. You are the first one who asked me that today."
The handsome man knew what she was talking about but made a confused face nevertheless. Angel appeared flustered as she mumbled, "Nevermind."
The man smiled and said, "I'm Luke, I'm a businessman."
Angel's mouth formed an O shape as she remembered where she had seen the man. The man was the owner of the land where her mother was working. However, now that her grief had lessened somewhat and she could think clearly, she felt something dangerous from him and decided that she should stay away from him. She smiled politely and turned around to leave when he caught her hand from behind and asked, "Would you like to go out with me?"
Angel was dumbfounded. She just wanted to go to her apartment and cry her heart out. She turned to him and nodded, wanting to get out of his grip. Seeing her twisting her wrist to make him leave her bewitched him. He wanted to hold her down and ram inside her as she would struggle under him but he had to lay out the trap to catch the angel first.
He smiled his charming smile and said, "Great, so tomorrow at 7 pm at Monaco restaurant."
Angel's eyes widened as she exclaimed, "B-But it's a very costly place. I won't be able to pay."
Luke chuckled lightly and said, "I own most of the things in this country and I own that restaurant too." And I'll make sure to own you too.
Angel nodded and hurriedly went her way as he kept looking at her scared and flustered self...
Angel didn't know what to do. She did tell him that she would come but she didn't want to go. Sighing, she went to the kitchen to cook herself a meal. She had not eaten anything since morning because of her grief. She wanted to cry all day but she couldn't afford to do so.
So she prepared a lentil soup and decided to have it with some rice. This was her favourite meal because it was cheap as well as healthy. Sighing, she couldn't help but grieve for her mother. Now, she just wanted to survive and be happy, for her mother because she knew that if she wasn't happy, her mother will not be in peace.
It's just early evening but still, she felt sleepy and tired, maybe because she didn't sleep a wink since she found out about her mother's accident. Thinking so, she fell asleep on the only bed in the apartment.

Angel didn't know she would sleep for such long. It was the next day already, and even time for her date. Should she go? Can she stand him up? He wouldn't find her, would he? He doesn't know anything about her, how will he find her?
Thinking so, her body drifted back to sleep again as Lucas was waiting for her in the restaurant they had decided on, fuming.
He had to find a way to contact her and the way was simple. His female spies keep an eye on her all the time. They would tell him where he could bump in her.
Meanwhile, after Angel finally gets up and freshens up, she visits the construction site to get a job. She hoped that as a compensation to what happened to her mother, they will hire her.
Luke also came to know about her plans from his spies as he drove there. There she was, in a white dress, looking so pure and beautiful. Her figure wasn't right, she seemed unfed but still, she looked beautiful. He will make sure to claim his angel.
Walking towards her, he called out, "Angel, remember me?"
Angel turned to him and blushed in embarrassment, remembering how she stood him up. Gulping, she apologized, "I'm sorry for not coming yesterday to the umm, friendly meeting? I'm having a hard time in my life so please forgive me."
Luke could see the dark circles under her eyes. He wanted to hug her and hide her in himself, so that only he can give her problems and no one else can. Pinching her chin lightly between his index finger and thumb, he muttered, "Give me the opportunity to end all your hard times Ms. Angel. Marry me and you will not have to worry about anything."
Angel was shocked at the sudden proposal. This was the first time she was so physically close with a person of the opposite gender and it felt wrong. Gulping, she held his hand and removed it from her chin, stepping back and saying softly, "Thank you for the opportunity Mr. Knight. I'm sure women would die for this type of opportunity. However, I don't think I'm responsible enough to be in any kind of relationship, let alone marriage-"
Before she could finish, Luke placed his lips on hers, making her stiffen as he mumbled, "I will be responsible for you. Please, let me take care of you."
Angel sighed. She wanted to have a good life too. She wanted her mother to rest, wherever she was. Also, what could go wrong? She can easily divorce him if he doesn't turn out to be good, right?
She nodded lightly as Luke placed his lips on hers again and exclaimed, "Very good decision! I've taken tomorrow's appointment for our wedding. Let's go and get your things from your current place of dwelling. We will move your things to my home and get a dress for you."
She knew this is happening in a lot of hurry but she didn't care. The sooner she gets out of the poor lifestyle, the better. She was tired of her hard-working life and this seemed to be a way out of it. Looking at Luke, she smiled genuinely and nodded her head, making him peck her forehead.
Yes, for her the only problem he had was that he was too touchy but he wouldn't do anything inappropriate because he's a big businessman, right? Thus, they both started the preparations for the wedding the next day.
Angel could hear her heart beating in her ears. Today, she is going to marry a man she doesn't know. Why did she agree? Maybe for a better life or that's what she said to herself but her subconscious knew that it was because she can't say no to anyone and even though she was not interested in this wedding, she has decided to give her best for this marriage. The only thing she knows is his name and profession but nothing about his personal life.
She is just sixteen and she wonders if she can take on the responsibilities of a good wife. She doesn't even want to think about what would happen once she has children. How will she manage taking care of herself and them? What if something happens to him? Will she become a version of her mom too?
But what is the use of thinking all these things now? It is of no use, especially when she is in her wedding gown with a bouquet in her hand and a veil on her face.
"It's time Ma'am," William said politely, making Angel breath heavily and get ready for the wedding. Sticking her hand inside his, they both started walking down the aisle. Literally no one was present for the wedding, only the priest, the assistant, the bride and the groom.
Angel felt like she would trip and fall any moment because of her groom's intense stare. Gulping down, she tried her best to walk as normally as she can in the long dress. Finally as they both reached the stage, William places her hand in Luke's.
They both stand on the small dias as Angel zoned out in her own world, worrying about different things. However, some familiar words pulled her out of that world as the priest said, "Do you, Ms. Angel Grey take Mr. Luke Knight to be your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death do you apart?"
Angel took a deep breath. There was no going back now. Nodding slightly, she replied in a firm voice, "I do."
The priest turned to Luke and asked, "Do you, Mr Luke Knight take Ms. Angel Grey to be your lawful bride, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for wicher, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish till death do you apart?"
Luke didn't take a second to answer as he was waiting for this moment since sixteen years, "I do."
The priest went on, "I thereby declare you both man and wife. You may kiss your bride."
Angel's eyes widened. How did she forget about this wedding ritual? Luke swiftly opened her veil and pulled her closer through her waist, making her gasp as he used that chance to kiss her deeply, taking his time playing with her tongue, exploring her entire mouth, using her hair to keep her face in place. He went on for one minute, even though she didn't know how to respond to a kiss and was standing stiffly.
There was sound of clearing of the throat. Angel came out her shock and pushed him lightly, wiping her mouth, which he didn't like at all but decided to stay quiet for a while. Luke turned to the priest and asked irritatingly, "Do you have any problem with us kissing?"
The priest seemed terrified as he shook his head and mumbled, "I just want my mother to be safe."
Angel's mouth hung open as Luke and William narrowed their eyes. She asked the priest, "What does your mother have to do with Mr. Knight?"
Luke, however, made her face turn to him and lightly pinched her chin, saying, "It's his issue. Let's not worry about him. We married just now. Let's go home and freshen up. You must be tired. Also, don't call me Mr. Knight Mrs. Knight," saying so, he bopped her nose, making her giggle and forget about the priest's words because indeed, she was tired.
William led priest to a car while Luke and Angel sat in a separate car, ready to go home...
