Message From The Author

Hi Reader. It seems that you have found my story. So let me tell you somethings before you start reading it. This story was based with tons and tons of stories and novels like The Tales of Demons and Gods, which is one of my most favorite comic stories that I've found here on MangaToon, and blah blah blah. This story us about a boy that suffered the loss of his father and carried the pain for years. What he doesn't know is, he possesses something extraordinary, something that will dominate the world.

This story also has mysteries and problems for you to solve so that you can determine what will happen next in the story. Mysteries such as.... No I won't tell you of course! That wouldn't be a mystery if I told you that is a mystery, isn't it?

So in order for you to solve the mysteries hidden in this story, you need to pay attention and deeply examine the episodes thoroughly for you to understand things.

Also, you may find some messages at the end of the story. It's not every episodes just, some of it. It is for you to know what might happen in the next episode. Also, it can help you to solve mysteries inside the story. Another, some episodes are dedicated to some people that are close to my heart.

Episode 1: Beginning

"No! Don't do it!"

"Don't leave us!"

Screams of Sadness was heard all over the place, crackling sound of flames was also heard while the whole area was gobbled up by it. The shadow of a man was also seen in front of them facing countless non-human creatures.

"Don't do it! I'm begging you!"

The scream of what seems to be a mother holding a child in her arms was sorrowful. Tears fill her eyes while stopping the man who seems to be the father of the child she carries.

"To protect you, and the rest of the human kind, I have to face them." Said the father while looking at her.

He stepped forward, and then he, with the non-human creatures, was engulfed in flames. The mother cannot do anything. She cried and cried with her child that was just maybe 9-10 months old.

A man then picks the two up saying;

"We should go now ......"

The name spoken by the man was blurred.

"He has done everything he could to save you two. We must go now. I wouldn't make his sacrifice go to nothing." Said the man then lead the woman away from the bright, burning fire.

The surroundings then became black. Nothing can be seen. Then, a coffin is seen, floating above, restrained by chains.

"Waaah!"

He woke up from the dream.

"Hey Ray, are you okay?" Said by a boy who was seating right beside him.

"Yeaaah." Ray said while panting.

"That dream again?" Said the boy.

"You can tell right?" Ray said laughing while catching his breath.

"Ya now Ray, that dream won't stop haunting you. Should we go to Elder Dras to check up on you? You know that he is known to cure haunting dreams right?" Said another boy in front of him.

"I have checked up on the Elder countless times now. It's been a week since I started on checking up, Rigor." Ray said

"Fight those wicked dreams Ray!" The boy next to him said then all of them burst out of laughter.

"All right Pane. Stop it" Ray said giggling.

"There ya go! You're now happy! No more bad vibes ey!?" Pane Answered.

"SILENCE!"

All students got back to their seats as the woman shouted.

Ep. 2: Understanding How The World Functions

"Enough babbling nonsense! Study hard younglings! For you are the glory and hope of Halderan! This city that supports all living beings! And you all students, are it's soon to be guardian!" Shouted the woman.

All students stood up and answered the woman;

"Yes ma'am! We will fight to protect Halderan City in the near future!"

The woman then answered them, "Very well! So I, Haneera Stormborne, will train you to become one of the most powerful fleet that's yet to conquer the Land of Zulin, and soon," she paused, and shouted again;

"The whole world of Zancrum!"

The students cheered for a while. Soon enough, Haneera stopped them and said,

"So today, the topic is about our own world, Zancrum."

The students listened.

"Elders say, A long time ago, our world was created by one god which is Valier. He ruled vast kingdoms in this world without its men knowing. Valier is a kind god. Giving fortune to anyone he sees to be worthy of that fortune. But his brother, Martiev, was the opposite. He was known to curse everyone who receives fortune from his good brother. That's why, Valier was seized by humans and beings that co-exists with our race. Valier was mad. He then attacks the palace of his mad brother. The fight took weeks and months before it finally finish. Martiev was defeated and has been banished inside the unknown lands. Valier tried to regain the trust of all creatures for years. Fortunately, Valier succeeded and made the world gain back its beauty. He also built the most glorious and the biggest kingdom at that time, Glory. But thousands of years has passed after that day, The Age of Martiev or also known as The Age of Decay stroke the land. Martiev's followers from the unknown lands attacked Zancrum, the world perished. Millions of Valier's followers were slaughtered, and Valier's kingdom fell. Then mysteriously, almost all of Martiev's followers were seen dead across the Megoradian Valley inside Valier's Kingdom, Glory. After the cruelty of the demonic beasts, survivors are now scattered all across the world, waiting for refuge from other neighboring surviving cities." Haneera said poetically.

"Teacher Haneera, How can our city help?" Asked a student.

Haneera smiled. She replied saying, "Good question Reinior." She inhales and breathes out then said, "Zancrum is a big world. Made up of 19 oceans, 23 continents, and also housing 12 known races namely, Humans, us that possesses knowledge about Accordia (Magic of Elements) and Strength. Then Seraphims, those who have eternal magic and is a specialist when it comes to granting wishes to any beings. Next are Atrocians, also known as Pyrionians, they are beings that is made out of flame. Known to inhabit the Nether, they specialize in forging, cooking, and especially, burning. Next, Valierians, from the god Valier, they were the main residents of Zancrum, it is also a mystery where they are good at, but better not mess with them. Next, Elves. Beings that is known across the world. Known for traveling all across seas and lands. They mostly have the best knowledge. Ternians, woodland creatures that lives in forests of the East and West. They guard the forests against underlings of the Abyssal King. They are experts when it comes to woodland techniques and magics, they also cure curses. So when Martiev cursed all beings, the Ternians were the busiest race. Guboruns, not literally a race, but that's what their beings are called. Guboruns consists of five different species namely, Orc, Goblin, Trolls, Giants, and Witches. They are known to destroy and attack other races for money and fun. They are naughty, ugly, vicious, disgusting, and stinky. Their main enemy are us, humans. Fighting for territories and population. Dark Elves, they are elves but not exactly elves. They inherited the face of the elves but not their attitude. Dark Elves are scary. Specialize in dark magic, dark chants, cults and many more dark things. Next are Dwarves. All of you know that our craftsman is a dwarf right?

"Yes ma'am!"

Answered the students.

‌"Yes. It is because just like the Atrocians, Dwarves are very trusted when it comes to forging. It is because the dwarves are always in war with the creatures of the mountain ranges. So, I can say that they also are really experts of war. Nymphs, same with the Ternians, are forest creatures. Some see them in ponds and lakes. They are creatures with magical abilities. Vigliods, they are half dwarf, and half human. They are like their dwarf ancestors, they are powerful and skilled in battle. And they inherited the solidified manpower of humans. Last are the fearless Herocs, half bird warriors that came from the mountains. They are the only ally of the Dwarven Kingdoms against the ferocious creatures of the mountain. Their leader are often described as "Falcon" or "Eagle" because of their incomparable strength to other Herocs. They are expert in assassinations, art of killing, transportation, and many more."

"That's a lot of races."

Said Pane.

"And those are just known creatures. Who knows how many there are unknown races are here?" Rigor said.

"So, how can we help Miss Haneera?"

Reinior said.

"If we can form an alliance with all of the good races, we can search for the other surviving cities in this world." Haneera replied.

Students nodded.

"Next topic is, Magic!"

Haneera shouted as she raise her hand and flames burst out of it.

"Woaah!" The students were amazed as a phoenix flew from the flames.

"Magic. One of the elements that protects us beings against the foul beasts of the underworld. So in order to protect the city, we must learn the basics of magic first." Said Haneera.

"Magic has three sectors. Elementium, also known here in our city as Accordia, is the sector of magic that controls elements such as fire, water, earth, air, and so on. Creatures that possesses this sector of magic helps our world to be fixed. Lamanentium, sector that controls magics that creates certain things, it can also control anything that surrounds it. Lamanentium is the magic that is superior among the seven races and those are Seraphims, Ternians, Atrocians, Valierians, Elves, Dark Elves, and Nymphs. Last is Diniminium. The hardest magic sector to be acquired. Out of the three, Diniminium is the most mysterious. All races can acquire it but it is very hard to accomplish. Only Elder Lizier have this magic in Halderan City for hundreds of years. It is known to be a powerful magic. Acquiring it means having all sectors of magic." Haneera told the students.

"If I can acquire Diniminium, I can be powerful too!" said Pane.

"Stop dreaming Pane. The greatest elder is the only man in Halderan that is able to possess such fearsome talent. With your clumsy self, you wouldn't even handle the first stage of Elementium." Said Rigor.

"You two, stop it." Ray told them. "With enough practice and body control, one self can reach any heights, even surpassing the peak of Diniminium!" Said Ray with pride.

"Right!" Pane and Rigor both said cheerfully.

"My magic sector here is Elementium: Fire Spirit. I am at the peak of Sector Elementium right now. So my rank here in the city is top 52. Our city's current strength is 100,000 Mages of Sector Elementium, seperated in 5 groups namely Wind Group, total of 2,000 Mages, Fire Group, total of 33,000 Mages, Earth Group, total of 46,000 Mages, Water Group, total of 4,000 Mages, and Thunder Group, total of 15,000 Mages. As you can see, the Wind Group has the fewest mages here. But do not underestimate them. The fewer mages that acquires this kind of magic, the powerful it's possessor is. Then we have 1,000 Lamanentium Sector Mages." Said Haneera.

"Now is the end of our class. Practice cultivating and next week, we will examine your strength." Haneera announced.

"What? Next week?" Shouted the students as Haneera leaved the room.

"Let's go everyone!" Ray shouted to his friends.

"Okay!" His friends answered.

After going out the room, the wide grounds of the school is seen. Ray and his friends walked past the grounds going outside the school. Ray's Uncle Huegyen was out there with his carriage.

"Hey Ray! Your mother is waiting for you at home! Let's hurry!" Huegyen said.

"Okay Elder Gyen!" He said happily.

Ray waved goodbye to his friends that was already being picked up by their families.

Huegyen drove the carriage to their village of Ciarma. A village that the once Great Hall of Merindan or Old Halderan was standing. The remainings of the Hall is still there. The walls is still up, but not as fortified as before.

Ten years before The Age of Decay ended;

"Lord Barion! The Merindian Plains have already been filled by the enemy!" Said the soldier, panicking and panting.

"Tell King Hardiun to go! Protect the king at all co-" Barion stopped as another soldier heads out to tell another bad news.

"Lord Barion! We're too late! The Kingdom has already fallen! King Hardiun fell! Around 60,000 men died in the battlefield! The surviving soldiers have already flee to the forest of Dulan! But with the army of Martiev, I think the whole area is already filled with Demons! I don't think they will survive too long!" Said the soldier.

"How could this be!?" Barion was stunned after he heard the news.

"What is happening in this world! Oh Holy God Valier! Help us!" Shouted Barion.

Another soldier ran towards Barion..

"My Lord, this place will be surrounded by Demons any minute now!" The soldier said exhausted from running.

"Now we don't have any choice! If we'll die, better die fighting!" Barion said.

"What is your orders My Lord?" Said the soldier.

Barion then told the soldier, "Prepare the Great Hall. We'll begin the last stand there."
