1: Set the scene
It had been 5 whole years since Draco last saw Kio. He had searched far and wide to find him but found no evidence. For all he knew, Kio could have actually been dead. As such, he was really surprised when Kio was walking out of a bathroom in his own office building on an ordinary Thursday afternoon.
Draco (ML)
KIO!!! IS THAT YOU?!?! I KNOW IT IS. IT HAS TO BE!
Kio (ML)
(*turns around*) Huh?
Draco (ML)
(*embraces Kio in a big hug*) Do you have any idea how long I have been looking for you?!?!

Mr. Yamato
(*frantically looks for Kio*) KIO? Where are you?

(*runs into Mr. Yamato’s arms sobbing*)

(*pats Kio’s back*) shhh, it’s okay! You are going to be alright

(*crying and hyperventilating*)

(*listening from a few feet away*)

💭 I know how important this is for the family business. If it doesn’t go well, my family will literally loose everything they have. I can’t be selfish just because I’m scared. I will just stick next to dad until everything is done (*nods head*)
A receptionists leads Mr. Yamato and Kio to the presidents office, where Draco is waiting in his seat

(*Extends hand to shake*) Hello Draco, thank you for having me today

(*shakes hand back*) Of course. I heard your business is in need of financial help
Mr. Yamato
Yes, and it’s pretty urgent so thank you for taking us on such short notice

(*trying to hide behind Mr. Yamato*)

Mr. Yamato and Draco start there discussion about the business deal as Kio continues to sit in fear

Alright Mr. Yamato, I’m willing to help you. But what will I get out of this in return?
Mr. Yamato
I will pay off the loan within 5 years. I’m also willing to pay 5% interest
Draco (ML)
(*thinks for a moment with his hand on his chin*) no…I don’t think that will be necessary

What? But you are lending me more than 2 million dollars! How could I not compensate you in some way?
Draco (ML)
Oh you will, but what I want has nothing to do with finances or business (*closes folders and binders*) why don’t we make a simple trade

Yes! I will give you all the money you need, and I won’t ask you to pay it back. I just need one tiny little favor from you

(*about to walk out the door with Mr. Yamato*)

You won’t get another offer like mine you know. I’m the only one who would be willing to give you this kind of deal. Kio would also be in good hands with you

No he wouldn’t. He’s been shaking in his seat during this whole meeting. Why would you even want a boy like him when you could have anyone. You are a pure blood vampire after all.
Draco (ML)
It doesn’t matter. I only want him. I hope you realize that I can offer him a better life. I don’t think you would be able to take care of him when your business officially goes bankrupt

(*stiffens in place*)

And so that’s how it happened. That’s the way Kio ended up in the hands of the same vampire that completely changed his life. But it wasn’t just any vampire. It was his first friend. His first crush. His first love. And his first bone crushing heart brake that would leave him mentally and physically scarred for the rest of his life
2: Lets make a bet
This story begins 6 years in the past when Kio was a little freshman in high school and Draco was a junior
-Monday, first day of school-

3: First interaction
Kio is still sitting alone when Draco approaches him in the lunch room.

Hey, my name is Draco. You are Kio right?

Mia and Levi look at one another before bursting out in laughter simultaneously

I don’t know. I just introduced myself and asked if I could sit with him. He offered me the whole table but when I told him that I actually wanted to talk to him he just got up and left

Draco does his best to get Kio’s attention in the hall way. Whenever he sees him he waved to say hi but Kio never responds. Three days pass before Draco is actually able to talk to Kio one on one

(*looks up from book*) Huh?
Draco (ML)
(*sits down in front of Kio*) I said why are you by yourself? I know you are a freshman but school started 3 days ago. You should have a few friends by now

Draco remains frustrated for the rest of the day as he thinks about everything that happened in the lunch room. He keeps Kio’s book in his locker with the intentions of giving it back to him the next day. But Kio never shows up in the lunch room again

Draco, why are you sitting here? Shouldn’t you be trying to win over Kio
Levi
Ha, maybe it isn’t going so well
Draco (ML)
(*rubs forehead*) No, it isn’t actually. I’m not sure what to do. The last time I tried talking to him I teased him a bit. He teared up and ran away

Maybe you should try a different approach. Dont talk to him the next time you see him. Just sit beside him
