It was the time of pre-winter, where the ripe yellowish-leaves fall from the trees so that new leaves can take their place, new branches burst from the trees giving full adolescence to the tree as well as increasing its life and energy.

Ngamba and Leina sat down on the bench, under the banyan tree after their jogging. Leina looked up at sky and slowly closed her eyes to feel the cool breeze.

Ngmba smiled at Leina and said,''Miss Perfect you might get cold at this case. You wanna eat pills?'' Leina had take off her tracksuit jacket so she's only a light t-shirt on.

Leina suddenly opened her eyes and wore her tracksuit jacket when she heard pills.

Leina really hate pills! She always had troubled while eating it and her mom had to use force to let her eat it, since childhood.

And more importantly she rarely get sick so that's the main problem for her to have trouble while eating pills.

Ngamba chuckled on seeing her action. Leina gave him a cold gaze which make Ngamba cover his mouth and looked aside.

''There is least people coming out for morning walk this time. It's gonna be winter soon.'' Leina said as she looked at some people returning from their morning walk.

Ngamba just stared at her then his eyes went to Leina's shoe. Ngamba get on knees to tie the shoelace. Leina was surprised for awhile at his action.

''This is the four times your shoelace came undone, today. Are you a child, still can't tie the shoelace properly.'' Ngamba said as he tied the shoelace

Leina pouted at Ngamba's words and said softly, ''It's her problem. It always came undone if I tied it.''

Ngamba looked up at Leina and said,''Then will you give this young man the honour to tie your shoelace for the rest of your life...?''

Leina was shocked at his words and it seems like he was not joking about it. Then she chuckled and said,''Why does it feels like you're proposing to me?''

Ngamba smiled and said,''I am.''They looked at each other eyes and stayed quiet for awhile.

Then Leina tried to pull up Ngamba when she saw a woman coming. ''Get up first. What are you doing? Others will see us'',she said as she looked at that woman. Luckily the woman went at the other road.

Leina breadth a sigh of relief as Ngamba stood up. She also stood up and said,''What were you thinking? You are crazy indeed.''

Ngamba flicked Leina's forehead and said innocently,''I was serious. So what do you think?''

Leina put her palm at her forehead and said angrily,''Stop the nonsense! I really wanna kill you.''

Ngamba giggled softly. When Leina moved forward he held her hand and said by making puppy face,''It's just only about shoelace...you won't give the answer?''

It's rare to see Ngamba like that and nobody can resist that face. Leina can just sighed and said,''Leave my hand first.'' Ngamba leave her hand instantly and looked at her eagerly just like a four year old kid hoping to get chocolate from his mother.

''It's just only about shoelace. I'll agree if you can catch me.'' She laughed and ran quickly as she said this.

A smiled appeared on Ngamba's face and he looked at Leina and said loudly,''Run if you can from me!''

As he said this he ran after her.

When he was about to catch Leina, he felt something strong holding onto his shoulder.

Then Ngamba came to conscious. He looked around his surrounding.

Salai, Wangthoi, Loya, Thouba, Richard and Bicky were looking at him.

But his eyes couldn't find the person whom his heart had been longing for.....

After their dinner they come up at terrace and were talking to each other. But when the warmth breeze touched his skin under the glow of glimmering moonlight, those memories flashed back. Those memorable days of senior high school...

There is always someone who make our senior high school more memorable. No matter what's going on in our life, those memories always make us smile. Lots of friends, unforgettable memories, loyal hearts and those fights...

She was the reason which make his senior high school more memorable...giving him infinite love, care and happiness, and the courage to move on from his past.

Salai asked him, ''Dude where have your mind been? We've been calling you and what were you dreaming about? ''

''It's night time. Don't daydream.'' Wangthoi added by laughing.

Salai and Wangthoi are his childhood friend and Salai is his cousin. They've always been together since kid. They are sworn friends and brothers.

''My mind just went for a walk and I wasn't daydreaming. '' Ngamba replied as he looked up at the sky. After few seconds, he turned to them.

''BrotherNgamba, can I ask you something..?'' Thouba hesitantly asked at Ngamba.

Ngamba smiled and said,''Why not? What is it?''

Thouba and Richard looked at each other as if they are asking one another to ask.

On seeing their behaviour Salai said,''Why are you looking at each other? I'm becoming afraid of your question. What are you going to ask to my brother?''

They gave a smile and touched their back of the head.

''Aren't you guys determined to ask a while ago? What happen now?'' Loya said as he take a sipped of coffee.

Loya is the younger brother of Ngamba and Thouba and Rechard are his friends.

''Who is the girl with Brother Ngamba in the photo album? The one taken beside a pond?'' Richard suddenly asked.

Wangthoi and Salai were stunned by the question for awhile. They looked at Ngamba. Ngamba wasn't showing any expression, he looked aside.

Then Ngamba smiled and said,''Why do you want to know that?''

Salai, Wangthoi, and Loya were a bit shocked at his question. Loya smiled and thought,"I miss her."

Thouba replied,''It's just we haven't seen Brother Ngamba with any girl and you looked so happy in that photo. We're just curious about it.''

Without waiting for Ngamba's reply, Wangthoi said,''Instead of that ask your BrotherSalai to tell about his love story.''

Salai looked at Wangthoi with death gaze and said,''Let me hear your story first. How do you even get Laija? So sneaky.''

Bicky is their youngest cousin. He said proudly,''We already know your love story.''

Ngamba chuckled at his words then he said,''Your sister-in-law.''

''Sister-in-law! Wow! She's so beautiful. I was going to ask about it first but BrotherSalai didn't allowed me to. Tamo(brother) when can we meet her? I really wanna meet our sister-in-law.'' Bicky exclaimed and started speaking non stop.

Ngamba smiled at Bicky. Salai, Wangthoi, Loya , Thouba and Richard also chuckled at his behaviour.

''What type of person is she? She has BrotherNgamba's heart.'' Rechard asked.

Loya said,''Just ask him to tell their story."

Bicky's eyes lit up and was going to ask then Salai said,''Have you ever heard of curiosity killed cat?''

Then Bicky replied,''Curiosity is the beginning of all achievements''

Ngamba laughed out on hearing their talk and said,''Tamo(brother)...no more to say?''

Salai and Wangthoi felt happy and relief on seeing Ngamba's laughter.

Bicky felt very proud. Then he asked by making puppy face again,''Tamo will you share a bit...of your story about you and our sister-in-law.

Ngamba stayed silent for awhile. Then Bicky said,''But how come we never heard Tamo(brother) talk about her?''

Ngamba slightly smiled and said,''You want to know about her?''

Thouba, Richard and Bicky nodded as yes.

Salai, Wangthoi and Loya didn't speak anything. They just sat there and listened to their talk.

''She is the most daring yet the sweetest girl I've ever met, she is very stubborn and good at playing dumb with me''Ngamba smiled as he said this.

Then he breathed out and continued,''She is optimistic, captivating, dynamic and inspiring...She always sees the best in people. She is a girl who stand by her promise and has a strong personalities.''

''But it's better to stay away from her when she's angry,''Ngamba chuckled and added.

Wangthoi, Salai, Loya, Thouba, Richard and Bicky also chuckled when they heard it.

Today Ngamba's behaviour is once in a blue moon. He rarely talked about girls and always avoid talking about it.

By Ngamba's behaviour they knew how much important and special is that girl to him.

Salai, Wangthoi and Loya also kept smiling. After she left he hasn't talked much about her, pretending to be fine while keeping those feeling deep inside his heart.

''How do you guys met?'' Thouba asked.

Then Richard said,''Wait! We still haven't know our sister-in-law's name.''

All of them looked at Ngamba. Then Wangthoi said teasingly,"Isn't it Miss Perfect?" Then Salai also added,"No, it's Little Kitty."

"Will you shut up?"Ngamba said. Then he said,"Go and sleep. It's late. Go go."

Bicky, Thouba and Richard looked at Ngamba with shocked, they thought he would tell about her.

Loya said,"I told you don't get your hopes too high." Then he stood up and said,"Let's go and watch movies."

"I'll tell you later....her name." Ngamba smiled and said.

They sighed and went inside.

Wangthoi and Salai looked at Ngamba. Ngamba also looked at them and said,"What? Aren't you guys going inside?"

"What about you? Are you going to continue your daydream here again?" Wangthoi said.

Ngamba replied,"I'll stay here for awhile. You guys go first."

"Fine but don't stay for too long." Salai said as they went inside.

Ngamba nodded and smiled at them.

He stared at the starry night sky.

"When are you coming back? I miss you, every seconds, every hours and everytime."

"You know, sometimes I just wanna take the plane and kidnapped you here." He gigled and added.

Then he continued,"Now I can called Lingjel sister-in-law, it's a bit weird. They aren't married yet but I'm getting used to it. Wangthoi and Laija are engaged too. Only you and me are left. Nene(aunty) is blessed with a princess. I thought you'll come but You didn't. When you come back I'm gonna kidnap and make you my father's daughter-in-law...for making me wait so long."

Without his realisation, he has been smiling when he talked about her. That bold yet the sweetest girl who captured his heart...

6years ago...

"It's already spring." Ngamba said softly as he looked out of the car's window.

Trees shed their leaves and new leaves started appearing. Birds start chirping, singing and butterflies start hovering over the flowers. People start wearing light clothes. They are filled with excitement and happiness.

"UncleYai,Pull the car over." Ngamba said suddenly.

Yai pulled the car over and asked worriedly,"What's wrong,Ngamba? Are you alright?"

"I'm alright. I'm gonna look around. The neighbourhood. So UncleYai go in first. I'll come by myself." Ngamba replied as he took the camera and opened the car's door.

Yai was about say something but Ngamba said,"Tell aunt I'll be alright. I know the way." He went by saying that.

Yai couldn't say anything.
