Rebirth Of A Tycoon Goddess

A Perfect Life

The ever-busy and bubbling streets of B-city brought the entire place to life.

The many sky-high buildings, luxury cars, touristic sights and entertainment spots always ensured that the city remained busy day and night.

Soon, a limited edition car pulled up and parked within a very grand 5-star hotel.

Those around couldn't help but marvel at the sight of the car.

Some poked their heads out the window, while others even forgot what they were doing seconds ago.

Indeed, the car was a real show-stopper.

But more than anything else, they were curious to know who the car belonged to.

Who could it be?

Some pretended to make phone calls while looking at the vehicle from time to time.

But sadly, they were destined to be disappointed.

Why?

Because the mysterious person inside didn't seem to have any thoughts about stepping out.

Minka sat in a daze while checking her phone impatiently.

Why meet now?

She couldn't understand what was so important that couldn't wait for tomorrow.

She tilted her head to the side and leaned against her chair while staring outside the window, deep in thought.

Anyone who saw her would instantly think that she was a goddess.

She had deep raven hair as rich as the night sky and light golden eyes that could memorize anyone that gazed upon them.

She was the exact definition of a beauty.

.

Minka was still deep in thought when suddenly, her phone vibrated loudly.

Vrrrrm Vrrrmm

Hm?

She immediately snapped out of her thoughts, picked up her phone and smiled warmly when she saw the caller I.D.

"Look who finally decided to pick my calls.

What took you so long?

I called you 15 minutes ago, but you didn't answer." She said playfully.

"Sorry, your majesty. This one had to handle some business. So don't get mad, okay?" Said a deep masculine voice on the other side of the phone.

"Fine; I'll forgive you.

But I'm curious, though... Why did you let me come over without my chauffeur?

You know we are getting married tomorrow, right?

So what's so important that can't wait till after the ceremony?"

"Baby, it's a surprise.

But if you really want to know so badly, then why don't you come up now?"

"Oh?

Okay, I'll be right there."

With that, Minka placed her phone in her bag, stepped out of her car and gave the keys to a valet boy.

And as she walked, the staff and other customers started chatting about her non-stop.

Particularly, two women who looked no older than thirty-five started whispering about her.

"AHHH!!!! She's so pretty

Sigh... Why can't my skin look like that?

But more importantly, how can a small girl like this afford such expensive goods?

Do you think that she's a cheap nightwalker?"

"Cheap nightwalker?

Heh.

What do you know?

This girl is famous and is nothing like those nightwalkers.

Wait?

Don't you know who she is?"

The other woman shook her head in denial curiously.

Who exactly was that little girl?

The second woman opened her eyes wide and excitedly saturated all she knew about the girl.

She was filled with the spirit of the Gossiping fairy.

.

"Eh?

I can't believe you don't know her.

Well, you've been outside the country for too long, dear.

That's 28-year-old Minka Elms, one of the youngest billionaires in the city."

"WHAAATTT!!"

"Shhh...

Not so loud.

What you don't know is that she came from a poor background.

I heard that her family used to be so broke that they couldn't even get three square meals a day."

"Really?"

"HMM HMM, it's true.

Also, when she became rich, It's said that she opened another company and gave her boyfriend the position of CEO.

And after they get married, I heard that she would also transfer ownership to him.

It's said that their love is so strong that the boy once risked his life to save her during a car accident.

Everyone in the upper society knows of their public display of affection."

The other woman opened her mouth wide open in amazement: "How romantic. It seems that it's true love. Ah!...Shhh, Shhh…. she's coming this way!!!"

Instantly, the ladies turned silent and pretended to read magazines while Minka walked right by them towards the lobby front desks.

Minka removed her large shades and verified her identity.

The hotel staff called her fiance, Chris.

And after confirming that he was indeed expecting her, they escorted her to the room.

Chris had already told the staff to let her in since he was in the shower.

So she stepped into the massive V.I.P lounge in the room and sat on a comfy couch.

Of course, it didn't take long before she was greeted with the sight of a handsome man walking towards her while wiping his hair with a towel, and another hung around his waist.

This man was her soon-to-be husband, Chris.

Her life was perfect!

Why?

Minka stared at the handsome man before her warmly.

Her Fiance was just too good-looking, right?

Chris quickly pulled her in and kissed her forehead: "I missed you so much, beautiful."

"Me too.

I can't wait for your so-called surprise.

Is this a pre-wedding gift?" Minka asked curiously.

"Well, you wouldn't be wrong if you thought that way.

Tomorrow, we will officially be married.

So I wanted us to do something exciting tonight.

I want to take you out to my special place a few minutes from here."

"Oh?"

Chris swirled her around happily as if they were dancing: "Don't worry, it's not a long drive from here. But before we go, I was hoping you could do something for me."

"What do you have in mind, my dear soon-to-be husband?"

Minka looked at Chris playfully.

What did this bad boy want?

"Aye! Stop looking at me like that. I'm not that bad, alright?

I just wanted you to sign our marriage papers now.

This way, we won't have to do it tomorrow in the courthouse."

"But..."

"Hush, love.

I want tomorrow to be stress-free for you.

So once the wedding papers are signed, we can just focus on our grand wedding in the afternoon.

So baby, what do you say?"

Chris smiled charmingly at Minka while looking deep into her eyes.

His entire action made her a little weak and out of breath.

Was he trying to seduce her?

She blushed hard while feeling moved that he wanted to do all this so she could have more free time tomorrow.

The man was very thoughtful.

Nonetheless, something didn't feel right about it.

Minka raised her left eyebrow and looked at Chris in confusion.

"Don't you need witnesses for this?"

"Come on, beautiful.

You know that when there's money, there's a way.

So don't worry about it.

I just want more time with you, that's all." He said while pulling her out of her chair before tightly wrapping his hands around her waist.

Minka linked him and blushed.

Why the hell was he moving around so much while wearing nothing but a towel?

Chris chuckled playfully.

"Love... You wouldn't be shy, right?

We will be husband and wife tomorrow, so what are you getting nervous for?

I'll see my body sooner or later, so what's the big deal?"

Minka flushed even harder.

"You shut up! How can you be so shameless?"

"Fine. I admit. I'm shameless. But who's the one getting married to this shameless man?"

"You!...."

"Okay, okay, okay... Let's get serious.

So, why don't you sign the papers now?"

Minka smiled and shook her head wryly: "Okay, okay. Anything that makes you happy." She said with a smile.

"Great!"

With that, Chris took off speedily.

.

Minka looked at him and laughed.

He must really be excited to get some free time with her for him to run that fast.

Suddenly, Chris' phone vibrated non-stop.

It vibrated for a while and fell silent for another minute before vibrating again vigorously.

~Vrrrm Vrrrm.

Eh?

Honestly, Minka wasn't the kind of girl to check her fiance's phone, or anyone else's for that matter.

But the constant vibrations were beginning to ruin her mood.

~Vrrrmmmmm Vrrrmmmm Vrrmmmmm~

She furrowed her brows in annoyance and decided to take the phone to him.

But just as she was about to grab it, like lightning, Chris was back on her side again.

He hastily took his phone and kissed her playfully before turning off his phone.

He looked at his home in annoyance and threw it away on the couch.

"Dammit! All these people from work are just so annoying.

I'm with my baby now.

So how can I be bothered with them?"

"But what if it's important?"

"Then it will just have to wait.

Today, I want to spend as much time as I can alone with you."

Minka smiled happily, and the duo shared another passionate kiss.

Her man truly loved her.

After sitting her down, Chris handed an envelope full of documents to her.

"Baby, don't worry.

I've read everything word for word.

So you just have to sign them.

Look, I've also signed my part as well."

"Okay."

With that, she signed everything swiftly.

She, too, wanted to spend more time with him before their wedding.

So how could she not sign?

.

Chris' eyes flashed with a strange light after taking the documents away before bringing 2 glasses of wine.

"Here, wifey... For you.

After chilling a bit, I'll take you to the place."

"Good."

Minka took the glass filled with white wine and took little sips from time to time while talking merrily with Chris.

And as she drank, her eyes started feeling heavy and drowsy.

Her entire body felt weak, as if someone had sucked the life out of it.

What's going on?

Her breathing became heavy with every heartbeat that drummed ever so loudly.

She wasn't a fool.

Looking at the glass in her hand, she immediately understood her current predicament.

"YOU!

W-w-what did you do to me?"

~Bam.

As she tried to get up, she slumped to the ground hard while struggling to look at Chris, who was laughing and smiling cynically.

Quite frankly, he began to look like a demon from the pits of hell.

Danger slowly inched its way into her heart, leaving her frightened beyond belief.

Countless thoughts rushed through her head in a flash, leaving her in a state of absolute panic.

Soon, her eyelids gave way as her mind slowly began to drift further and further.

Was this her end?

An Outstanding Performance!

~augh...

Minka woke up and moaned from the sudden pain she felt, while trying to open her eyes.

Looking at her surroundings and her predicaments, it didn't take long before she realized that she's tied up in a run-down warehouse.

'How did I end up here? Wasn't I in Chris' hotel room?'

Soon, her expression turned grim.

That bastard!

She remembered it all!

No! Now was not the time to keep drowning in pain.

She had to get out of here!

Her eyes darted back and forth as she struggled to move.

On her left, there was a pile of wood that was already lit, creating massive flames.

And on her right, she saw another woman who was also tied in a pool of blood.

It was her former secretary, Jane!

She...she...was she dead?

Looking at the large pool of blood and the pale woman's face, Minka's entire demeanour collapsed even more.

"Don't be too confused, sister."

Who?

Minka looked up and saw her entire family and some staff members in her company, walking into the light from the shadows.

The most ridiculous part was that Chris was there too.

The seemingly childish voice bust now belonged to her sister, who was currently being held intimately by Chris.

Hahahhahahah.

Is this some kind of joke?

She was shocked and desperately wished that this was some reality TV show she was staring in.

.

"Mom, dad…. What is going on…?" She asked with a shrieked voice.

The middle-aged woman felt repulsed by her words and hastily lashed out while holding get husband's hands.

"Shut up! Who is your mother?

Hmph!

Let me tell you now ...You were dumped in front of our doorsteps when you were a baby.

So who are you calling, mom?

Did you really think that we would love you?

In my eyes, you are nothing but our maid!" Mrs. Elms exclaimed coldly.

What?

Minka's pupils dilated in disbelief.

"That...That can't be true.

Dad, tell mom it's a lie.

Tell mom she's mistaken."

Minka looked at her dad, hoping that it wasn't true while shaking her head in denial.

Mr. Elms looked at her coldly and didn't bother to answer back.

The girl who first spoke out earlier on, suddenly chuckled, enjoying the whole show.

Evelyn Elms was her name.

"My dear elder sister... or should I say my seat family maid.

You know...You are really stupid.

I'm just 8 months younger than you. So didn't it ever occur to you that you didn't belong with us?"

"No… No….. I was born prematurely…. Stop joking around, and let's go home."

Minka once again denied reality, shaking her head as if trying to block their hateful words out.

Evelyn looked while Mrs. Elms just looked at Minka in disdain.

"Heh. We would have dumped you out long ago.

But we needed someone who could clean the house and do all the laundry."

Mr. Elms, who had been quietly smoking an expensive pipe, finally let out after letting off a whiff of smoke: "We had planned to throw you out after our darling Evelyn turned 16. But when you started your company, how could we let you go? After all, what you own should belong to us. That's what you owe us for taking care of you all these years. So it was only right to keep you with us."

What?

So everything was a lie?

Evelyn rolled her eyes heavenwards: "Dad, why are you saying it so nicely. Listen here, maid! When you started your company, Chris was already my boyfriend by then. We hired him to be your boyfriend to keep you under our control. He has never been yours!"

Boom!

An explosion occurred within Minka's brain as something slowly died within her.

Somehow, she had always sensed that something was going on between the 2.

But she kept brushing it off because it involved her sister, whom she loved dearly.

At this moment, she started wondering if she ever loved Chris at all.

Looking at things now, it seemed that she had just been good to him because he had been good to her.

And also because her family wanted her to be with him.

His betrayal didn't even hit her that hard

It was the family's betrayal that left her in agony.

She had truly loved them with all her heart, but it seems that they, on the other hand, had been pretending this whole time.

As expected.

There was indeed a thin line between love and hate.

Because now, she loathed them.

Tch!

Looking at their outstanding show, she didn't know whether to award them for best performance or slap herself for her stupidity.

At this moment, another man's image flashed through her mind, making her realize who truly had her heart.

She was such a fool!

Seeing Minka suddenly turning calm, Evelyne frowned in dissatisfaction.

She wanted to see Minka break down even more.

All through her life, people always praised Minka for her grades, beauty and even the fact that she was a billionaire at a young age.

But so what?

She couldn't even guard herself.

Now, look at her... A soon-to-be-dead woman!

Evelyn was unwilling to leave things like this. She wanted to see Minka die in jealousy.

Evelyn held Chris' hand tightly around her waist and looked at Minka while giggling.

"Why so quiet?

Have you suddenly turned stupid sister?

Heh. It's true.

Chris here agreed to seduce you for the shares in your company.

That's right!

He never loved you. He only loved me!"

Okay?

Minka looked at her so-called fiance expressionlessly: "Chris. Is that true?"

Chris looked at her and frowned after seeing that she didn't seem to have a big reaction.

Heh. She was probably pretending not to care.

Did she think that this move would make him like her?

How naive!

Chris looked at her in disdain.

"B**ch! Don't you dare call my name with that stinky mouth of yours.

You disgust me!

Did you ever think that I cared for you?

Have you ever asked yourself why I never allowed you to visit me?

Or wondered why I only allow you to come when your family is around?

It's not that I respect you, but that I loathe you!

Because of you, I had to hide my girlfriend while being with you.

It's all your fault that we couldn't come out of the spotlight.

Only after you die will I be able to hold Evelyn's hands publicly.

So you must die!!!"
