"Emi, wake up! You're going to be late for school again!" I heard my mother shouting from downstairs.
Crap!I muttered under my breath as I noticed sunlight already streaming through my window. I quickly grabbed my phone to check the time, and... Shit, I'm late. I'm going to be late for university again.
I leapt out of bed and rushed to the bathroom to take care of business and at least wash my face. I grabbed the first things I could find—a hoodie and some ripped jeans—and threw them on.
