Loving Again (TaeKook)
C1 Just hold on for a little longer.

I came back with another story 🙂↔️.
I hope you guys will love this story.
Author
This is one of my favourite novel. That's why I just converted it into TaeKook version. It's a straight novel not bl. Again all credits goes to the original author.
17 Cross Road, near Palace Road, was prone to accidents—especially when someone was tailgating.
"Boss, we were only tasked to scare her. But if she keeps driving at that speed, she might crash further up the road," one of the two men chasing the Mercedes spoke with a tone that was tinged with worry.
But the other man who was sitting on the driving seat was unfazed. He chuckled and commented sadistically, "Let her crash and die then. We might have been ordered to only scare her, but the boss didn't say that she couldn't accidentally die. If she does, that's her bad luck."
After that, the two cars zoomed down the lane. While one was trying to escape, the other relentlessly pushed the first to its limit.
And the inevitable happened soon. On the dark route, the Mercedes met with a deadly crash, halting the air in serene silence. The car that had been tailing it stopped meters away, and the man in the driver's seat pulled out his phone to make the call.
"Boss, the job is done. Ms. Kim has successfully gotten into an accident," he reported and then slowly retreated from the spot as if he and his car had never been there.
...
17 Cross Road was closest to the highway, but since it was in the deserted zone, not many people were around. When the accident happened, no one was there to call the ambulance. Tae knew this well, so she didn't expect any help to come.
With the head bleeding and limbs painfully trapped, she tried to make the call. Her breath was ragged, and every slight movement sent waves of excruciating pain through her body.
KIM TAEHYUNG
"Tae, don't give up yet. This can't kill you." She encouraged herself before slowly bending to retrieve her phone which had slipped onto the floorboard earlier. "Arhhh!" she winced, feeling her flesh tear as she bent down. The pain was agonizing- given a choice, she would have rather die than endure it.
But she couldn't do that now. She had a person to return to. She couldn't leave him alone in the world after promising to stay with him forever.
Just for him, she would choose to suffer. Even if it meant hell, she would do it.
Grasping the phone, she took in a deep breath as she slowly speed-dialled his number. It was a difficult task- not only her fingers were shaking, but she was slowly feeling it all go numb. Her life felt like it was slowly slipping away her body.
KIM TAEHYUNG
"Eunwoo, I will wait for you. Come and save me soon." She murmured to her heart, confident that he would hear her call through the bond they shared. After all, for all the years she had known him, she could hear him without him saying anything.
After several attempts, she was finally able to dial. But instead of getting connected, she was notified that he was busy over another call. She didn't hang-up, choosing instead to wait for him to answer. But despite her faith, it seemed that the person on the other end was impatient.
With a beep of rejection, she was notified that the caller was busy and could not accept her call at the moment. Her heart clenched. Although this wasn't the first time of him rejecting her call, given the situation today, she thought he might act differently.
Her heart painfully twitched, but she reached out to caress it, urging herself to not give up yet. He would come around soon. With all her effort, he would turn around and appreciate her love. Just hold on for a little longer.
A sad smile curled her lips as she once again managed to manipulate her heart into believing.
Yes, she knew that she was manipulating it into hoping something that might not be true. After all, eight years wasn't a short time. If it were going to turn out in her favour, it would have by now.
But still, she wouldn't let go of it easily. She would believe, even if it was impossible. Just one more time- if she doesn't die. If he comes to save her … if he makes her grab onto that string of hope himself. Then maybe she would believe in their relationship one more time.
Taehyung felt the consciousness slipping away- slowly, gradually. Maybe there was no longer time left for her to believe in the impossible. This was her time to let go and accept fate.
A resigned sigh left her lips as she readied herself to embrace the death that now seemed inevitable. Her eyelashes flickered, slowly drooping close.
She tried to look outside to see if there was anyone to save her, but her vision blurred. She wasn't sure if it was due to her injuries or the smoke from the crash. She couldn't see anything clearly outside. Perhaps no one was there. Otherwise, they would have come to help or call the ambulance.
KIM TAEHYUNG
"Accept it, Taehyung. This was it. You can no longer escape." She said slowly, lamenting her situation. But then, suddenly, she caught something moving outside from the corner of her eyes. It looked like some brightness appeared at a distance.
KIM TAEHYUNG
💭Could it be that someone came to her rescue? Could it be Eunwoo?
She wished it was him. Then, even if she died today, she would feel satisfied knowing she had made his heart change. Her efforts and care for him didn't go to waste, and she finally made him care for her in return.
Clinging to the last string of consciousness, she forced herself to stay awake- just to make sure that it was him. And she wasn't disappointed when she saw him finally appear amidst the smoke.
KIM TAEHYUNG
Even though she was experiencing a hell of pain, her lips turned up in happiness. He did hear her. He came to save her. "Eunwoo, you came to save me. I knew you would. I knew you would come to …" she mumbled,
But her words paused faltered when, instead of advancing towards her, she saw him turn to the other car.

C2: He was scared of losing her
Tae felt numb all over. Was it the pain torturing her entire body, or was it him? She wasn't sure. She knew just one thing: he had failed her today.
She had no idea who was in the other car. It had crashed into hers, and maybe the other person was suffering just as much as she was, or even worse. But still, shouldn't he have come to her side first? Saved her first? After all, she was not just anyone; she was his fiancée, the one he had promised himself to.
How could the other person be more important to him than her? Or maybe he hadn't seen her?
Yes, that could be possible. After all, she hadn't been able to call him and tell him about the accident.
KIM TAEHYUNG
"Eunwoo! I'm here too. Eunwoo!"
With that thought in her mind, she tried to call out to him, to let him know of her presence—of her situation. But no matter how she called, her voice was nothing but a mumble. She had neither the energy to scream nor the strength to get out and walk to him. But somewhere deep down, she believed he would know, just as she always knew his every unspoken wish and call.
But the moment she caught sight of the woman he was holding in his arms, she knew that he wouldn't listen. Because around that one person, all his senses became jammed. His heart locked onto her, making no one else matter. Not even her—his fiancée.
Han Sohee—the belle of Cha Eunwoo's heart. With Sohee injured, how could he even notice her dying?
Her smile turned mocking. All this time, she had been trying to justify his ignorance, forcing herself to believe that he came to save her… that maybe he didn't come to her because he hadn't seen her.
But in reality, she was just manipulating herself once again into believing something impossible. How dedicated she was, wasn't she?
But what did her dedication bring her?
His negligence. His lack of empathy.
KIM TAEHYUNG
"Heh!" she scoffed sarcastically before spitting out the blood she had been holding in all this while. 'Taehyung, open your eyes and see it clearly. You wasted yourself and your youth on someone who barely deserved it. He didn't love you even after you followed him like crazy. Did you really think he would turn around and see you—fall for you?'
That wasn't possible.
Just as she was cursing her dumb self, she saw him walk away from the crashed car. But his steps came to a halt as if he had noticed something—or someone.
Tae's gaze was blurry, but she saw him turn and look her way. She couldn't make out his expression because her vision wasn't clear. But now she knew that he was aware of her presence.
With him looking her way, he knew that she was there, stuck and dying. But what scared her was his possible response to her situation. Would he care enough to save her?
He should, given she was his fiancée and childhood sweetheart. But she couldn't be confident about that. After all, she knew who he was holding in his arms. With her there, she wouldn't matter. Even if she was dying, he might not care.
And what she feared was exactly what happened. He turned around and left without a care. As if to him, she was nothing but thin air. He didn't see her there.
If he hadn't turned to look her way, she might have forced herself to believe that. But even if she was foolish, she wasn't blind enough not to realize he simply left her behind to die.
That was it. Maybe.
This was all she needed to witness to know how wasteful her life had been. How wasteful her efforts and sacrifices had been, for he never cared for any of it. All he cared for was the woman in his arms.
As the realization became clearer in her heart, she felt herself falling into a deep, dark abyss that seemed to be the end of everything. Yes, it must be her end—her death.
Her arms fell limply to her side as she lost the last thread of consciousness she had been holding onto. Maybe this was what she deserved for following her heart so illogically.
She didn't know how long she was stuck in that deep darkness, but with no hope of light around, she had already given up. But then something shook her in the flames of darkness. It felt like someone wrapped her in his arms, pulling her cold body close, trying to warm her with his natural embrace while attempting to wake her up.
Tae tried to open her eyes to see who it was, but they simply wouldn't open. She didn't have the strength.
???
"You cannot die like this. Open your eyes, Tae. Come on, open your eyes."
KIM TAEHYUNG
That voice wasn't clear, but she could hear the earnest plea in it. There was also a hint of anger, but she wasn't sure at whom it was directed.
KIM TAEHYUNG
Who was he? And why was he trying so earnestly to save her?
KIM TAEHYUNG
She tried to figure it out, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't match his voice to anyone in her memory.
But he knew her name, which meant he must have known her too.
How did he find her?
KIM TAEHYUNG
There were so many questions about him. But she had no answers. Nor was she in a state where she could find them.
Could he be Eunwoo?
???
"Tae, can you hear me? Get up. Don't sleep and don't you dare die."
KIM TAEHYUNG
She heard his call again and felt his arms tightening around her. That's when she sensed the fear in his voice—the fear he was trying to hide behind his urgent, intimidating tone.
KIM TAEHYUNG
She didn't know who he was. But whoever he was, he was scared of losing her.

C3 Burn the city
While Taehyung lost consciousness, she failed to notice someone else's appearance. As the smoke gradually thinned, he walked through it like Hades emerging from the underworld.
His trench coat swayed in the air like sharp blades, ready to slash through anyone who dared block his path. He didn't look around. His gaze was fixed on the Mercedes—or more specifically, on the woman trapped inside it.
Reaching out, he tried to open the door. But it was stuck and wouldn't budge. Before the man who had followed him could offer help, the man himself took a step back and shattered the window with a single punch.
His strike was so precise that although the glass shattered, none of the pieces flew in to sting or cut her skin. In the next moment, he reached inside to unlock the door, pulling it open at once.
His eyes grew cold as he assessed her condition. With her limbs trapped awkwardly and her head bleeding, she looked like a terrible mess—nothing like the image of her that he held in his memories.
Had he arrived too late?
No, he couldn't afford to be late. Not this time, at least. Especially not when she was like this.
He called as he bent down to inspect her. Pressing his fingers to the side of her neck, he tried to feel her pulse. But it was so faint that it scared him. Shaking his head, he quickly reached out to unbuckle her seatbelt.
???
"You cannot die. Do you hear me? Open your eyes," he commanded, but she didn't respond. He tried to shake her awake, but she remained still, unresponsive to any of his orders.
Did she even know that the world followed his commands? Or did she know that she alone had the power and authority to disobey him?
???
"Sir, we need to get the lady out of here first. The car could catch fire at any second. It's not safe," the other man, dressed in formal attire, spoke, keeping his tone polite and sincere.
The man nodded, and in the next second, he scooped her up in his arms. His actions were so swift they reflected his ease in carrying her.
With her in his arms, he turned to walk back to his car when he suddenly stopped in his tracks. He didn't turn around, but the person behind him could feel the dark, dangerous aura he was emitting at that moment.
Even though he had been by his boss's side for years, he still couldn't handle this dark side of him with ease. It chilled his soul.
???
"Soobin, I want you to find out who was responsible for this. And also, who was in that other car," he ordered.
Soobin
Soobin nodded before responding, "You'll know by tomorrow morning, Sir."
The man said nothing more and turned to walk back to his car with the woman in his arms. Soobin, however, turned to look at the other car, which was now deserted. There could only be two reasons for this: either the person fled the scene without a care, or perhaps they were saved by someone.
In both cases, the lady was left behind. And that alone was enough to enrage his boss. After all, the lady wasn't just anyone. She was the pearl treasured by the Dragon King himself. Whoever dared to offend her or leave her behind would have to settle the score—no matter who it was.
He felt a twinge of pity for someone but quickly reminded himself that he shouldn't feel any emotion for a person who dared to offend his boss—directly or indirectly.
Soobin
Walking quickly, Soobin soon reached the car. Opening the door, he suggested, "Sir, if you—"
???
"No need. Just hold the door, and I'll take care of the rest," the man said, as if guessing his secretary's words.
Soobin immediately nodded and held the door, using one hand to shield his head. Once his boss was inside, he quickly closed the door and moved to take the driver's seat.
Soobin
"Sir, do you want me to drive to your personal clinic?"
???
"We don't have time for that. Drive to the nearest hospital and tell Jackson to meet us there before we arrive," he replied,
And Soobin nodded, driving down the lane as he called Dr. Wang on the way.
In the back, the man held Tae close to his heart as if he wanted her to hear his heartbeat and come back to him.
???
"You cannot die like this. Open your eyes, Tae," he pleaded, but there was no response. He pressed her closer, but her body was growing colder by the second.
And that was enough to terrify him.
???
"Break the signals, Soobin, and floor it to the hospital. I want us there as soon as possible," he ordered, adjusting the woman in his arms. With one arm securing her, the other went to rub her palms, trying to warm her up. "Tae, can you hear me? Open your eyes. Don't sleep, and don't you dare die," he commanded, but still, there was no response.
???
"Tae, wake up. Come on, wake up," he tried again, dipping down to listen to and feel her breaths. But they were so faint that it felt like her soul was slipping away.
???
Shaking his head, he mumbled to himself, "No, no, no. Nothing can happen to you. You cannot die. Tae, wake up, please." Then he yelled, "Soobin, drive faster. Get to the hospital soon, or don't blame me for burning you before I burn this city."
The secretary quickly pressed the accelerator—not out of fear for his own life, but out of fear that his boss would really do something drastic in his rage if anything happened to the woman.
Reaching the hospital, he swiftly cleared the way so his boss could walk in with the lady at ease. Since he had called ahead and informed the hospital, the floor was kept clear, especially the one leading to the VIP elevator.
Soobin
"Dean, did you keep the things prepared as I have asked?" Soobin inquired, interrupting the old man in doctor robe who came to introduce himself.
???
The old man pressed a thin smile and nodded, "Yes, Mr. Choi, everything is prepared. Please head to the VIP floor, the best team of doctors is already there."
